You can give as many karma to different users as often as you want, but not more often than 1 karma (+ or -) per 1 user per some period of time (about 10 hours as for now). When you will try to give karma to the same user more often, you'll see a warning that it is impossible.
Oh, I was mistaken about the context of Agbe's reply, after reading your I got it now that we can't give karma to the same person within 10 hours, but can give it to another member in the time span of 10 hours. Thanks for the reply, It means I don't have to worry about the +1 thing, as I used to write it within the 10 hours but never confirmed the karma. As AFAIK I gave karma to different members, I also wanted to see the Karma renewal. Thanks for that info as well.

I think this depends on the individual itself. Logically, if both of them are familiar with crypto then they should know about the bear market or a crypto cycle in general, which might even help you to avoid mistakes such as being overly greedy and refusing to sell when the market indicators tell you it is near the top. It depends on their personality too. If they are greedy to begin with then whether you are into crypto or not it doesn't matter since they might sway you to do risky things anyway. Not even asking for a Valentine's gift, maybe even going as far as suggesting to take a loan to buy the dip or something. At the end of the day there's no need to be so black and white, just take everything case by case and see whether she is suitable for your personality, family, lifestyle, etc or not.
I like your suggestion but bro that's not how it works here, there are 2 ways one is normal the love marriage and the second is traditional the arranged marriage, even in a love marriage you don't get to invite her in your house, to meet her with you family, but you can at least judge the personality, lifestyle, etc. But judging them in arranged marriages is so hard especially when you marriage outside the family, (Family means the whole family tree, like cousins or etc.).

So, it is kind a hard to take everything case by case here, that's why I represent this POV and besides disadvantages, there are benefits also, if no one understands in how much pressure you are in, your partner will understand (if she's into crypto as well). I don't want him to remain unaware of crypto but I just don't want to ruin the environment as well, but hey that's where limits comes, haha.

Forum related / Why we can't open Quote in new Tab with CTRL + Left Click
« on: February 21, 2024, 05:21:42 PM »
As the title says, we are able to open links in a new tab if we press and hold the Ctrl key and then press the left click on the mouse. It works on every link, but specifically on this forum, it doesn't work on the Quote option. As I have to press the right key of the mouse and open the list to press on the option of "Open link in new tab".

I hope we can also open the quote link by shortcut keys as well, or is there some error on my side, because AFAIK there must not be any, what could be the possible reason behind it?
First I thought I should ask this question in chat but I thought it would become lengthy so I made a topic here and will share the link there as well.

Forum related / Re: Yellow Box Badge Under Username, What is That??
« on: February 21, 2024, 05:03:59 PM »
Good catch mate, I will appreciate it because the link you provided is what I was looking for all this time. +1

I'm just looking for information about the "yellwow box" badge and what its function is because I often see it on members who generally have high ranks.
But there are also newbie members who have the "yellwow box" badge and this is what made me even more curious.
Thanks for the karma, but I just saw yours is zero, how? AFAIK it was not zero before, or I am mistaken here, I also saw on another girl member having - ve karma while she is also legendary. You can ignore the question if that's personal. I was also thought the yellow badge meant local mod, because our local mode is Themepen and I first saw this badge on his profile.

And just below your post, there lies the exact answer of JISAN that explained it well, but I also have this info but I got confused after reading the admin reply a little bit, that's why I shared this link that you found useful, by the way happy to be of some use here. I think the admin will not remove it from those profiles who don't deserve it. But if this badge indicated local mode then why it say inactive in the source I gave? I think one of both replies is out-dated.

Once you give the person the +karma it shows instantly. Yes once you give one karma you can't give to that user again till 10 hours.
My bad, I did not realize that, even though I noticed 2 times that I gave karma to 2 members but it was not added to their profiles, I thought there must be some delay in the addition of karma so I never double checked, I guess I should find those posts again to give them karma, especially the ones where I write +1. I doubt if my karma to such posts was added or not. But now I think there is no way to confirm that either.

Because I not even remember how much karma they had when I give +1, I actually write 3 to 5 times +1 in my posts in response to some member's post and gave them instantly after making the post, but never checked, well, that's bad for me. Thanks for the confirmation dear agbe, from now on I will be more careful.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Binance, the best crypto exchange?
« on: February 21, 2024, 04:28:22 PM »
But I started to see some hidden fees which is really annoying I wonder if anyone else also has faced this issue.
I don't think there are any 'hidden' fees, binance has its trading and withdrawal fees and you can find out about how much fees you are going to pay when you use their system. By the way, Binance charges a lot when you want to withdraw BTC from their platform.
Hmm, actually I never saw the fee list provided by Binance that carefully, but now I just checked it again and in they don't really tell how much they are going to charge when you will buy or sell some crypto in spot trading, they do show at that page the fee they are going to deduct but after making the trade the fee deducted is more then that which made me to say my statement you have mentioned.

But you are right about withdrawal fee on Binance they are so high, for example, ETH, BTC, and other coins, Bybit, and gate.io provide better rates, in compared to Binance.

If your post is actual and you follow the line of the discussion, I see no problem. The problem can be when some starting answering the same thing which was already answered several times or start answering the topic starter when it is not actual anymore. I see no point in closing topics just because some users came from BTT with some bad habits common there. IMO it is a matter of changing habits to a more natural for forum communication. Not endless answers to a first post, but a discussion between different users. And when you discuss something it can be sad if your interlocutor is not active for a long time, but someone else can be interested in your words and answer you developing the conversation.
You are right, even if the OP is not active anymore the possibility for a thread to become an interesting one among other people is high, because it all depends on the discussions going on and people participating in them. If the thread is being active for good discussions then there is definitely no need to lock such a thread and I agree on this with you.

You are right about the repeated thread and they really become annoying sometimes but interesting as well. Sometimes refreshing also. Few days ago I saw thread which is new (not old) where the OP was asking what are ordinals, the thing is topic is not that old but almost everyone knows that, so asking such questions kind a feel unique now a days. And then there comes topics where people ask what is BTC. I don't make fun of them just saying.

Forum related / Re: Where I will find the stats of Altcointalk.
« on: February 20, 2024, 05:26:15 PM »
If you are asking about forum stats, then I suggest you should read this thread for that, and after reading this thread I got one point and that is we had no stats for profiles even (I might be wrong at this one so DYOR)--> https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=317797.0 This thread only covers the last month stats of the forum.
The thread you linked does not talk about the forum stats or what. Also, there is a profile statistics here unlike on bitcointalk which was disabled, you can see yours in action=profile;area=statistics;u=97165
oops, I failed to convey my message due to miss-wording, actually, I wanted to say we don't have profile stats but got them recently on this forum, I read in this forum somewhere from the seniors that profile stats are new to this forum not so new but not so old also. I was aware of them, it's just either I did not share the point successfully or you didn't. And yeah we don't have forum stats like we have profile stats, maybe in future, we would have them.

But we do have a small stats in the bottom of the forum giving the information of how much topics and posts have been made on this forum till now.

Forum related / Re: The quality in this forum will increase.

My post may not have set the right tone, I apologize if it gave that impression. To date the behavior of the veteran members is exemplary,
Oh, then I got it wrong. Thanks for the clarification. I like the term veteran members, does it only refers to the ranked members or the old ones ( all of them), Actually I asked in one of my posts that what we should call the old members, and you just used veteran.  :D
Yes, I have been teleported since December 2020 and when it comes to cryptocurrencies it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. No, that's not my profile  ;).
Great that's good to know you are proud of your decision, I actually joined BTT in 2021, before that I came to know about BTC in 2018 but wasted time in various things, and now due to BTT I registered on this forum but its not that I did not knew about this forum before, I thought I have a account here already but it was on another forum it has the term garden in it.

Well, I was assuming that profile won't be yours hehe, but still asked silly me hehe.

You showed good stats, although I did not double-check them but I hope they are right, and I am still bullish on DOT because the project is parenting with good gaming platforms like COD Mobile and Pikachu, etc. And they might partner with many more but TBH I am not exploring it much, but I do have some money invested in it too. I am not at profit but neither on much loss as well.

At the moment we really have better options then DOT, like Neutron, deso, etc. Although I am comparing tokens of different narratives, but even in the field of DOT's narrative we have other best options which can outperform its price, but considering the last bull run I am bullish on it, if its price is not pumping then I think its undervalued! Don't you think?

Have you been using Demo Account? On which platform do you use Demo Account? Do you think Demo Account is important for your investment journey?

[1] 6 advantages and 4 disadvantages of a demo account
To be honest, I don't do trading often as I am also more like consider myself a holder, but till now I did not give any importance to a demo account, I think what good it can bring to us because, in a demo account, we are not in the field instead we are in the emulator, the big factor that disrupts the trading is emotional sentiments, and we don't see these emotions in demo trading.

That's why I was not taking the demo account seriously, but after reading your post and a quote from the link that you gave, which is train hard, fight easy (Alexander Suvorov) I began to think, before getting into trading I should really learn some things (that's obvious) but also test them on Demo. By the way, did you not try the demo account of the link that you gave, I am talking about ATAS.

PS: From where are you learning trading, I also want to start, I asked this question from some members, but I am asking again in hope of getting some more good content, like is there any YT channel, or you have paid courses, what?

522
You have made a great effort in creating this topic, and it really is helping, I am not a technical trader but I think I will learn some by reading your topics, and this one is not as lengthy as some of others, point to point, I liked that. Besides this, I also predicted that BTC might touch $100k but was not assuming it could cross $150k, as I do have a thought in my heart somewhere that BTC might touch that, after all it is a win-win in both cases.

But your analysis increases hope in me, last time it increased hope in me about AVAX, and now about BTC, I think I am going to be addicted hehe. Just kidding, but really great work keep it up. I hope everything will go smoothly and we will not see any hurdles in achieving this target.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin ETF approval
« on: February 19, 2024, 03:56:25 PM »
Haha what a drama was going on last day I was sleeping suddenly someone said ETFs are going to start trading tomorrow, I said what and then another guy sent a link to the tweet where someone said ohh no the SEC's Twitter is compromised and I was like wow really.

TBH it was fun anyway a lot meme are rolling out.
It was fun, I am still seeing many memes and funny videos made on ETF's approval, we all did not get what we were expecting and that might be due to OTC trading as if the deals that these 11 ETF firms have made were on exchanges then we would be able to see the result we were expecting. But now due to the off-chain buying and selling things are a little delayed I guess.

But the total number of BTC that are being held by these 11 ETF firms is more than 111+k which is a good thing for BTC considering the upcoming halving event. We might be able to see BTC achieving the target of $100k at least. Or maybe more but my hopes are limited to $100k only.

Are you willing to give or receive Valentine's gifts in BTC? Do you think BTC can become a meaningful Valentine's gift?
My only valentines were BTC and I did not give her any gift, well if in the future I have one (in a halal way :D ) I would prefer the roses plus BTC both, but I don't really want my valentines to be a BTC nerd or enthusiast, because this might kill the relationship. I don't have any real-life experience maybe some experienced person in this forum might shed some facts and truths. But my personal opinion is she has to be something else not in the same job you are.

Especially the BTC, the pressure in trading might ruin things, for example, the encourage from one partner to another might not be seen if both are at a loss in dip, but if another is doing something else, and you are into BTC, then there will be more peace. Besides this, everyone has there own POV but this was mine. But one thing I wants to make sure that I don't want her to be interested in BTC as trader, but seasonal investor maybe.
