Blackrock’s Bitcoin ETF Holdings Near 110K BTC

Blackrock has amassed nearly 110,000 bitcoins for its spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), Ishares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), since its launch about a month ago. The world’s largest asset manager’s bitcoin ETF has a total... See more for yourself here.

Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

I hope by now, BlackRock will forever be grateful upon its approval on bitcoin spot ETF since its marking its first time all high with the market after approval, their client will also want to do more in making business with them, this talks more about them than even bitcoin involved, they are making more and lots of profits in their business as this alone stands a strategy to make more clients for them to gain more higher recognition than the one they already have.

You are right that it is not even remotely similar without a doubt. Fiat has been used for "illicit" stuff for decades, even centuries and we should not be comparing bitcoin or crypto with the same logic. Obviously, crypto will be used as well but we need to realize that its not going to be the same. It is clear that we are not seeing anything that would be considered alright by authorities and in the end crypto will be checked as well, and yet it will never be close to fiat. This drop shows that crypto is getting more secure while most of the other people who use fiat are still going strong.

I don't know why many of these organizations and government always concentrate more on crypto being used for financial abuse while the abuse on fiat currencies had for a long time been undealt with, maybe this is just to say that they are partly being jealous the fact that they cannot control or regulate the decentralized digital currencies or cryptocurrency to say, even the governments cannot give account on how they have utilized the seized funds from scam related occurrences both in fiat and cryptocurrency.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Ethereum wallet
« on: February 16, 2024, 02:56:33 PM »
Which ethereum wallet is secure and gives a very very low transaction fee... I will like to know

It wasn't the kind of wallet you make use that place you on the beam of having lower transaction fee, the network determine the cost for making each transaction, you only decided on the type of wallet to make use of because, but in this regard, I will recommend you that you you make use of a non custodial wallet so that you can have access to your private keys, it's very important that you pay close attention to the transaction fee before making it in other to make it intentional on the rate we were being charged for any transaction.

Maybe I should try a little more higher in listing some observable common risk we often take without knowing while trying to get involved in any cryptocurrency related activities in the economy, some of them were as follows.

1. Risk
2. Too know
3. Impatient
4. Absent of information
5. Careless attitude
6. Indecision

These and many more are the constitutes of how we got involved in the cryptocurrency risk on ourselves, we can see that the ones we mostly contributed are more than the ones we often encounter in crypto.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Choosing right projects to invest in
« on: February 15, 2024, 09:46:30 PM »
Irrespective of the project we may have in mind to go for, we should always be ready for an alternative to it, in case of when the unexpected should happen,we can at least have something to fall back on, the project or coin may not fail, but when we miscalculate the way we should go about it and experience loss, we may not be able to afford having nothing as backup to help us recover from the investment we made on any crypto project.

As I will always say, it is better to have the two altogether than only of one them, one will serves as the proof for your consistent quality posts and the other for trust, once you're trusted then that's all, other members will always find a quality taughts concerning the post you're making, knowing that the consistency in what you're giving is worth being reliable, and not like those that post shits.

Are you of the opinion that Bitcoin will reach its projected price point or do you think it will fall short of the target?

We should not overestimate the power on how bitcoin could go, not even when we are having the partial bull market already right before the halving, this alone has many to point out concerning the coming halving that we should expect its coming in a more new dimension than before, just as the spot bitcoin ETF, surprises the people in the way they even least expect to happen, bitcoin can get to the maximum of $150,000 or more and even break the limit down to $200,000.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: BTC price
« on: February 15, 2024, 06:03:19 PM »
Economist and gold bug #PeterSchiff has warned that the current #bitcoin price surge looks like "another classic pump-and-dump.

Your thoughts?

He has not been saying things like this before, neither is this the first time we are going to have the market pump and dump, we are so much concerned with the present and the future, we only use the past to give us more courage in going after in pursuit of what we want from the adoption of a digital currency like bitcoin, there's nothing to fear anymore even if the market is going bearish with bitcoin, theres ever this hope that the market will continue to rise over and over again.

I may not have to trust all cryptocurrencies but I trust bitcoin, this is what I know and have seen happening with every other person using it to be satisfied by the way bitcoin was planned under the protocols of it's whitepaper, bitcoin is not what we just hear for the hearing sake, we use it and make it for our daily lives economy and financial managements, because we needed to have our privacy taken away from us long time ago into use.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: What is Bitcoin?
« on: February 14, 2024, 04:13:57 PM »
I see defining bitcoin as a common and ordinary thing anyone can do when they make the action to go online and google it, there could be various interpretation on what bitcoin is, but the best way is to begin by knowing what a cryptocurrency is first, that will serve as an intro to understanding better what Bitcoin is for a lay man, if you want a digital currency and are tired of being under the control of the central authorities, then maybe bitcoin is the best for you.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: What is the importance of meme coins?
« on: February 14, 2024, 03:50:28 PM »
Are meme coins something to consider or are they just scams?

They are not all scam, but many are scam, you have to investigate well before making investment about them, deepens your research and know the conditions attached to having them for an investment, take the mind of bearing risk, it's one of the challenge you may face and know that it's either a win or loose game, but if you think you can't afford all these, then maintain your stay with bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Trading Vs Hodling
« on: February 13, 2024, 08:43:56 PM »
If you want to become a professional trader, you have to be very clever at rotating your money all the time, so that every time you have time you make money. In my principle, I will trade and hold, 70% of our capital for trading and another 30% for us to hold, so we have 2 incomes in the short term and long term... if we use 100% of our capital in the long term then it will There are 2 possibilities for you, namely getting a big profit or getting a big loss.. and if you do the first you will get income every day from 70% of your capital and 30% of the capital as savings for the future.

I agree with this, we should diversify our assets for trading and holding.
I personally divide 50% : 50% from my assets.
50% for trading and 50% for holding.
We will get profit from both. Because I didn't trading every day, I have real job  and don't have many time.

That's true that we shouldn't put all eggs on the same basket, when we are into trading, then all our asset must not ended in it, we can make some as part of a long time investment, this will be as a remedy to us should incase of having it bad with trades, in whatever thing we are doing, we should first considers the risk involved in it before proceeding into it, trading has its own benefits and disadvantages, but it more safer to invest than to trade in some situations.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Fear or greed
« on: February 13, 2024, 08:37:01 PM »
Hopefully this falls under trading.
I'm gonna make it short
There are two emotions i believe dictates trade and leads to either gains or losses. Fear and greed.
They are like every investors companion.
Which do you think is more dangerous?

You're right mate, the more we keep exercising fear the more it becomes so risk for us to handle it, the more our greed the higher the chances for loosing more as well, but one funny thing about the two is that, we cannot still do trading without using them, because sometimes, the fear we may have could lead us to taking an action that could safe us from loosing more, even though this is not in most occasions, all that is needed from us is to know how we could manage the two together for the best of our interest while trading.

There's nothing bad in sharing of ideas on trading and investment with others, we are doing so by helping them identify what is needed of them to do while on it, but we also on our own needed to be careful of every information's we receives in form of ideas, there's need for us to analyze and re-evaluate them before proper application, while sharing ideas, we should also be very careful of not misleading others just as we wouldn't also wanted to be given a wrong information as a piece of idea.
