Ethereum Forum / Fiat conversion rat sources from Ethplorer
« on: February 13, 2018, 02:51:15 PM »
I guess like many of you I use Ethplorer to track Etherium Tokens from ICOs, airdrops and just plain trading and as you all know for some tokens Ethplorer lists fiat values. I allways wondered what the sources for those prices are as the seem to not match coinmarketcap and why some do not even have conversion rates despite being traded on exchanges.
Someone has any hints on what the sources for those conversion rates are? Would really clear some things up for me.
Thanks.

Der zugehörige Facebooklink in deiner Signatur führt übrigens ins Leere eventuell solltest du den in den hier geposteten ändern, war nämlich erst ein wenig verwirrt als ich Infos zu dem Projekt gesucht habe.

Sounds like ever other hardfork airdrop and I do not see their unique point, which differentiates them from other coins. But lets see I am happy to take the airdropped coins and see if it will be stable or go the way of many hardforks.

This is normal course of currencies with increasing difficulties, but Monero is still possible to mine on CPU/low end mining equipment, but this will change in the fututure.

Can you shine some more light on what you are excpecting from your ambasadors with regards to type of work experience, qualifications and typical tasks. I am considering applying, but I am not super sure what kind of job it is you are offering so some further explenaitions would be nice.

Coinbase / Re: Withdrawing money from Coinbase ?

It is most definitely a thing and most mayor banks in the UK either offer US Dollar or Euro accounts you might want to call your bank representative or check your banks website if you have been told otherwise.
Point taken, but at least with co-op bank (which is what you want for crypto transfers tbh) it isn't anymore:

Just stick with SEPA and everything will be ok.
Ahh ok I do not knoe this specific bank, but with the most major banks you can get an account that will work in USD or EUR, which is handy if there are not many exchanges being able to send out Pounds. SEPA will not help you that much if you can only receive the funds at a super bad conversion rate so it might be worth a look, especially if you often need to cash out Crypto into Fiat (for example, when mining).

Sorting Box / Re: Lending coins

I was lending on the Bitconnect platform for 14 days before they closed up shop, but it does seem a bit suspicious. There doesn't seem to be any verifyable proof that there is any real substance to it. [...]
With Bitconnect there was rather strong verifyable proof that it was a ponzi scheme combined with an exit scam.

Crypto currency Mining / Re: Companies offering Mining Services

Just making sure what you are looking for. Do you want to use your own devices power to mine cryptocurrencies and are looking for a provider to help you with this or a are you looking to rent hashing power power for money (be it fiat or crypto) from a professional hardware hoster?

Ok just done the 1 Token in 1 minute thing and by now my question here is of a rather theoretical nature as it seems like I have jumped above 60 posts without me noticing. ;)

Afaik Coinbase does not support Pounds yet. So trading and withdrawals are limited to EUR and USD so ether open a bank account in one of those currencies or withdraw the money to an exchange supporting pounds. If you do not mind me asking how did you get money on coinbase in the first place if you can not transfer EUR or USD with your bank?
No, you don't just open a bank account for EUR or USD in the UK, that's not a thing! International transfer are however.
