Some people do. I think it's also due to fear, uncertainty and doubt. And others could have been scammed already that's why they hate cryptocurrency. But it's not all totally a scam. You just have to dig deeper into your research when looking for the right cryptocurrency. There are a lot of ICOs right now that have great potential. My personal favorite is the peer-to-peer energy trading startup from London called VLUX https://vlux.io/

There's always that chance that it could become a bubble. But what would be left when it pops are the strong ones. That's why I always choose the strongest and the most stable coins. Also when investing to ICOs, I always look at the team behind the project. I think if the team is solid and has excellent background on blockchain, they will definitely do great in the industry. Yes, at first it's really scary to invest in ICOs knowing that they are risky. But after doing research, eventually you will find the best ICO that suits you. I agree to that. A lot of ICOs have very well-articulated whitepaper and yet failed to deliver during their main sale. But to be always on the safe side, make sure that you do research first. Not just the whitepaper but also the team behind the project, their MVP, hear other people's opinion about them in the community, check out their ICO ratings. Yes, there are too many ICOs right now. And it's becoming quite difficult to choose a good one. But by properly researching, you can find one that suits your interest.
