I would buy 50/50 NEO/GAS. GAS is also very perspective investment. I think today price 36# will go down for sure. Some NEO coin for ~20$ will be nice present under my Christmas tree.

Mostly this 2 thousand cryptocurrencies is ERC20 tokens with very specific purpose, many of them use just for speculation. I recommend you buy coins with real technology behind it, other way you just lose your money.

Just HODL. Patience pays off. If you not a professional trader - stay away from exchanges, and don't use them like a wallet. Found a good wallet with a private key.

If you look at this from other perspective this is actually really good time to invest money, i personally wait till ETH will be ~160$ and i'll buy some here, best DEX for my opinion. Maybe buy some ETC, not sure about this one. ETH is evolve, i can't say that about ETC.

Independent from that? Bitcoin? Not right now for sure. Price of any coin depends on interest of people, if coin is hyped then price go up, when hype goes down with the price
