If you can find a good project with a great team, great tokenomics and release schedule, then go for it. However, in 2017-18 projects easily collected 20+ million dollars, but now they cannot even fill 5m hardcap. So do not expect good returns now. But as market recovers, ICOs will be back and we'll start making 3x-5x returns in short term.

Also, I wouldn't wait in altcoins because BTC is dominating all of them. But If you're willing to wait a long time (till 2021), you can buy and hodl of course.

Exchanges and web wallets are vulnerable of course, even Binance was hacked. One of my friends have been hacked, it was just a dns hack. So we must have a hardware wallet so be really safe, and use DEXes if possible, so we won't be sending our money to some other company.

NEO is still valid and great project. As satoshi value, brilliant as well (dumped a lot, so cheap). But if you don't have BTC in your wallet, you may wait a correction so Neo $usd price also decreases a little bit more.

Join bounties. Can you write articles or make videos about new crypto projects? I believe this is the best way to earn some crypto. You can put a signature to your account as well (check mine) but I would also recommend you writing articles on Steemit etc.
