Re: Is anyone still optimistic about BTC skyrocketing $100k?
With what's happening with Bitcoin right now, I'm not optimistic anymore. F*ck I'm selling all of my coins even though I'm at a loss. Bitcoin will go to $40,000 next week and it will go to zero in the next months. Crypto ruined my life!!!

Well, that would be a newbie with zero experience and knowledge will be saying if he saw what's happening right now with the crypto market because the market right now is tumbling down, down and down. Bitcoin's price is at $53,000 price range yet again. Anyway as for me, I'm still optimistic that Bitcoin will reach that 6-digit figure in the upcoming bull run. I just don't know when, but the realistic prediction is, 1st quarter of 2025. :)

I don't just expect the month of September to be positive in bitcoin because it would surely follow the month of August and if you look from history you would understand that both and next aren't that favorable months for bitcoin to moon.
But however, I can't really be sure because anything is possible in the market and we might feels that what we think not gonna happened but it would surprised us how the price gonna change and make wave.

Here's the detailed view of the performances of Bitcoin on a monthly basis for the past 11 years.

I will agree with what you said that Bitcoin for this month will not be a bullish month just because by looking at the history, Bitcoin's average return for the month of September for the past 11 years is -4.81%. Anything can happen still like you said so who knows. We're just entering the first week of the month, and there are 3 weeks more. We might see Bitcoin skyrocketing in the final week of the month before entering the bull run. :D

Anyway, for the remaining 3 months of the year, I expect Bitcoin and the whole crypto in general to be more bullish, and we might see the start of the bull run already during those months. :D The final 3 months of the years 2016 and 2020 are all in green as seen in the picture so.... :)

Gambling discussion / Re: How can you cure a gambling addict?
« on: September 06, 2024, 09:04:32 PM »
---
If a family has a gambler then that family must face a lot of problems but if you have a friend in such a situation how do you bring him back and make his family smile?
Me doing it alone would not be helpful for him. Why? Because I'm not an expert.
What I can do though is to report his situation to a rehabilitation center and from there, they will help him recover and help his gambling addiction disappear.

I don't want to help him alone because I'm pretty sure it will not help him at all. Giving him some advices might help a bit, but still if he can't stop himself from gambling then it's pretty much useless. Sometimes, an addicted gambler will only stop if something bad happens to him. Things like, his car got sold, or his house got sold, or his family left him already. I guess I'll let the experts to their thing when it comes to addicted gamblers. :)

I'm the owner of a laundry and dry cleaning service and am exploring ways to integrate cryptocurrency payments like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Has anyone here successfully implemented crypto payments in a small service-based business? What challenges should I expect, and which platforms or tools would you recommend for secure and user-friendly transactions?
Challenges that are crypto-related? I guess the transaction fees are the only one, but outside of that, of course you need to market your services still, and also include that you're accepting cryptocurrency as an alternative payment.

A QR scanner where customers can just scan it is by far the easiest way to integrate it, but always look at the transaction fees of the particular coin that you're accepting. Bitcoin's fees right now are below a dollar which is good, but it would be best if you will accept coins that are popular and also have low transaction fees. Layer 2 projects on Ethereum might be a good option as well. Projects like Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism might be a good choice, and also add BNB to the mix as well. Many recommended you here already. It's up to you know if you will integrate and implement it or not. Good luck with your business. :)

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Invest less in Cryptocurrency or not??
« on: September 06, 2024, 06:30:48 PM »
When we start a new startup, we don't know much about it, so we feel a bit reluctant to invest.  But if we want to invest how to do it??
If you want to invest, make sure that you've done your research already.
If you want to invest, make sure that you've done your part.

What do I mean when I say your part? Did you watch documentaries already? Did you watched educational videos already? Do you know the basics of cryptocurrency already or even Bitcoin? If you answer yes to all of the questions then you're good to go. When you're starting up as a newbie, it's pretty normal to feel reluctant to invest because you're afraid of losing your money, but as you learn more, that feeling will slowly fade away and you will be ready to invest when you feel you're ready.

Now to answer your question that's a bit contradict, you want to invest as a newbie? Go watch YouTube videos.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What about your exit Plan ?
« on: September 05, 2024, 09:49:38 PM »
Many people think that they have little funds, so if they invest in Bitcoin, nothing will happen, I mean they will not get any profit, but this is actually a wrong thinking, there is no obligation to invest a large amount in Bitcoin. You can invest a certain amount every week or every month regularly for long term and in this case it is definitely more profitable. And this is basically what we consider as DCA method.

If we see most of the newbies have this misconception that they have to invest huge amount of money in Bitcoin and for that reason they don't dare to do Bitcoin investment and avoid it. Moreover, another thing is that many new investors make large investments in Bitcoin at the beginning and later sell Bitcoin at a loss due to panic.
This is what can happen if people will continue to mislead these newbies. This is what can happen if people will continue to give wrong information to newbies. Wrong mindset and this might be the reason that instead of them investing into Bitcoin, they instead invest into altcoins that can go up and down very quickly.

They see cryptocurrency as a way for them to get money in a quick way, and in order for that to happen, they need huge amount of money, and since they don't have that much money, they prefer not investing anymore. Wrong mindset. Newbies don't even know that profits aren't earned that quick. Yes there's a way, but what's the risk? At the end of the day, whether it's 10$ or 50$ that you're investing into Bitcoin, that would be better than not investing at all. 10$ in Bitcoin weekly for 2-3 years would go a long way when the bull run starts.

General Discussion / Re: What breaks your heart a most?
« on: September 05, 2024, 09:14:35 PM »
The thread has been posted around 6 years ago... but it's still relevant so who cares.  ;D

Anyway, losing my dogs is what breaks my heart the most. It's not only losing my dogs, but seeing dogs struggling is what makes my heart break. If only I have the capabilities to adopt those stray dogs, I will do it immediately, but I can't as of the moment. The only thing that I can do right now is to donate a portion of my salary to those dog houses that are adopting, and taking care of dogs and cats as well.

This is my end-goal be goal. To help these shelters and at least I can give donations to them on a monthly basis.

Meme Coins / Re: Hamster listing date announced
« on: September 05, 2024, 08:55:41 PM »
Yep, after the news went viral on my Facebook homepage, many people speculated on the price when it was listed... and they all assumed different things... One person said that with 500k HMSTR it could be sold and get $100, and another person said that the fair price for HMSTR is $2 per 1 million HMSTR... this will be an interesting discussion after the listing date has been confirmed by the exchange... yes, because many of my friends have more than 40 million HMSTR, and that's quite interesting, isn't it?
I'll just compare the current price of DOGS with the potential price of HMSTR when it released since both of them have the hype of the community.

The total supply of HMSTR is 10 Billion while DOGS has 550 Billion. The current price of DOGS is at $0.001 more or less. Assuming that HMSTR will have the same market cap as DOGS which currently has around $530 Million, the potential price of HMSTR when it will be released to the market is more or less  $0.053.
This is a prediction only and of course we don't know what can the price of the token will be when the token will be launch.

If that's the case then both of the people who said those prediction are pretty much conservative. Nevertheless, I will still have a low expectations towards the token and looking at how much users it attracted, I'm pretty sure that the token's price will just plummet unless the community behind it is the same as DOGS are.

I don't know if Facebook is that good in identifying potential scams I have seen ads that I reported but continue to exist and only taken down after the developers do a rug pull because, as we all know on Facebook, if you are reported, you have a way to defend your ads or posts and if advertisers are good at it then their ads can still exist on the platform and they squeeze money from all the ads before being taken down
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that it's Facebook that's not that good in terms of identifying potentials scams. In fact, Discord and Telegram are way worse than them, and we know for a fact that scam attempts are very rampant on different social media platforms. It's just that, Meta has the balls to say to the public that more than half of the ads that are appearing on their platforms are scams, but the reality is, all social media platforms are experiencing this.

This is the reason why many always say that all of us especially newbies must learn, learn, and learn because scammers are everywhere and you're just one click away in giving your money to them.

Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« on: September 03, 2024, 08:37:52 PM »
I went through a phase where I wanted to make regular money from gambling (similar to job), I realized quickly that it was utter stupidity and moved on from such erroneous idea.

IMO one should gamble considering it an entertainment activity, and consider win/loss occured therein as entertainment expenses similar to video games, movies.
Well, we've been through that phase... or some might have not since they know the risks of gambling already, but I also thought of that one as well. Same with trading when I made profits from it. Like you, I also realized that I'm stupid enough to think that way. I realized that having a day-to-day job would always be better than focusing your time and sometimes, money into gambling - in terms of how to make money. :D

It's easy to say that we should look gambling as a form of entertainment only and not a way to make money, but the reality is, there are many gamblers out there who are thinking gambling as their way to make money, worse there are some who thinks that gambling will make them rich. They will make money, but they will be slapped by the reality that gambling is designed for most to lose money. Some will make money of course, but most will lose. :)

Dogecoin Forum / Re: Dogecoin Targets to hit $1 on Dogeday?
« on: September 03, 2024, 07:46:55 PM »
The community certainly hopes that they want Doge to reach $1 in time. Who knows when, and they probably hope But Bitcoin reaches its peak to create the second ATH. But the question is whether Doge is able to create that surprise and, as you said, is the first meme coin and, of course, this is surprising.
If you expect from Elon, will Elon do the same thing again? Of course, it can't be predicted well, but it will indeed be very difficult if Doge wants to reach $1.
I think it is not community to expect Doge price $1, the holders of Dogecoin who expect it.  ;D
I don't really care whether Dogecoin to reach $1 or not. I'm not Dogecoin holder, not Dogecoin fan.
I don't want to claim it is impossible but it looks like very hard to see Dogecoin $1 now. It seems Elon Musk no longer supports Dogecoin. Also, there is no bit news about Dogecoin development recently.
Of course, the holders are the ones that needs to be bullish because after all, they're holding a coin that MIGHT change their lives... or will it? :D

Like you, I'm not a holder of DOGE, but I'm putting the coin on my watchlist just because of the fact that it's the OG meme coin and I already said after the great Kabosu died (RIP to him) that I will hold DOGE for the long-term no matter what happens. It's like when the bear market starts, I will allocate a portion of my portfolio on buying DOGE. More like a vow to myself. :)

The only way DOGE will reach a dollar is if another influencer/s will try and pump the coin again like what Elon Musk did a few years ago. :D For those users here who bought the coin at the top, wait a little more and sell the token during the peak of the bull run, but of course don't expect that you will end up breakeven. :P

Meme Coins / Re: Hamster listing date announced
« on: September 03, 2024, 07:09:03 PM »
It seems the successful launch of Dogs has motivated the Hamsters team to begin preparations, leading to the recent listing announcement. What are your thoughts on this?
It might be true that the earlier token launch of DOGS affected their listing date, and they thought that they would have the same hype as they got a few months ago, but I believe they will not.

Lots of delays, lots of mini-games being launched on their app, inside problems that affected their listing date. I believe that these are the reasons for the decrease in player-base. Also, lots of people still giving the company free money through watching their videos on YouTube to have the ad revenue which I find bad TBH. Anyway, those who didn't gave up and still tapping, and tapping until the end are the ones that will be reward. Now the question is, how much will they get? Will they get the same as what they got with DOGS? I don't think so.
