Crypto Wallets / Re: Has anyone used (btccxxc) wallet for USDT?
« on: April 27, 2024, 01:06:58 AM »
Just stumbled upon the same wallet. So it's a scam?
What do you think, surely it is scam, how did you stumble on this wallet, did someone recommend it to you, or did a scammer send you an unsolicited message recommending this wallet. Giving us info like this will help people, especially newbies, stay away from new wallets you are not sure of and ask questions if you do not know what you are doing.

Thank you for this observation, i am not an admin or a moderator, but i don't think it is bad if such announcements are made in that board, maybe it covers absolutely everything about meme coins and tokens. There has to be a lot of such announcements in that board for the admin to think about creating a child board for memecoin announcement.

Why would you keep your money where you do not have control over it, where it can be confiscated at anytime or lost in fractional reserve scam, know that not your keys is not your coins. Get a recommended, well reviewed and open source wallet to store your funds, and if you are storing a large amount, use an offline wallet, that is either a hardware wallet or an airgapped wallet.

Question is what wallet and service is next on the list in their evil agenda?
Good question, because surely there must be other privacy focused wallets and services under their radar, i saw a few people mentioning Wasabi in bitcointalk, i don't know if it is just speculation or if there is actually any hint at that. Privacy is taking a big hit right now and soon anyone who wants privacy could be called a money launderer without any evidence or fact.

Some weeks or like 3 months ago, we saw a news that senators told the SEC governor that he should stop approving crypto ETF. Let us wait and see what will happen.
Yeah, we would see; BTC spot etf's was delayed for a long time before it was finally approved, i don't really know when these institutions filed for their ethereum etf's, though i remember Blackrock filed for theirs (ishares Ethereum trust) in late last year. It may take a long time before we see an ethereum etf and the sec might reject all the pending applications.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you need to spend to earn?

The biggest take away for me was it's offering of up to 13% CashBack.
Do you believe this, take note that when something is too good to be true, then it is most likely a scam. I haven't used this service before and if you haven't too, then maybe you should not recommend it, and the cashback might just be a way to lure people to lose money.

Samourai Wallet was seized because they might have got something against them but it could also be true that the seized it just by representing it as a money laundering protocol.
The government will call every privacy solution a money laundering tool in this their fight against money laundering, if they cannot track the activities of its users or trace and link tx's, then they try to seize it and call it a money laundering tool. According to the government, they should know about every single thing you do with your money.

This is how the SEC have been operating for sometime now, they now exceed their legal powers because they wield so much of it. They form their own interepretation in the way it suits them and implement policies that don't favor crypto services and people who use crypto.

69
Yeah, thank you for posting it here, it is currently being discussed in bitcointalk, so it's good we can hear the views of users in this forum. The government are seriously going after privacy solutions, it now looks like a witch-hunt at this point and no longer a case of fighting money laundering.

I have been thinking what it would be like to have privacy in a few years from now, would it be completely impossible?

I believe the emergence of artificial intelligence in Blockchain technology and crypto mixing could make things quite easier for us to slightly escape from the borders of the government's ability to track all our transactions without rigorous processes being initiated.
What is artificial intelligence going to do to better the system we already have, and which service has implemented something like that? I know the government are seriously after privacy solutions, but we have to still use it if we want privacy. However, after mixing your coins, it is safer not to deposit it directly into a centralized exchange, it is better to go through a few hops first, or use p2p exchanges only, like bisq.

Use secure wallets to store your cryptocurrencies and enable all available security features, such as two-factor authentication.
If you are using a recommended wallet, i.e. Electrum wallet, then i would recommend that you set up a multisig wallet, rather than a 2fa wallet. Another extra layer of security is to extend your seed phrase with a passphrase, this gives you extra protection and can help you create plausible deniability in a situation of a $5 wrench attack.

Bitcon is better but I dont think it would be usable if most people want to use it.
I believe you say so because of how high tx fees are, and i agree with you, BTC is kind of unusable right now because of what spammers are doing on the network, these days most of the tx's that take up the block space are from the spammers.
cbdc is a scam, like inflation and taxes, product of corrupt government system.
The government would do anything to destroy privacy solutions and promote censorship tools like cbdc. The U.S government have just taken down another privacy tool in Samourai wallet.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Bitcoin or Etherum?
« on: April 24, 2024, 08:27:46 PM »
There are altcoins that has the potential to give you a 1000X profit in matter of months and then maybe DIPs again,
While this may be true, but what about the risks involved when you buy new altcoins that can make you this type of profit, you can buy so many of them and lose all your money, altcoins are pump and dump and unless you are ready to gamble with your money, you should not buy too many new altcoins.

74
I believe the SEC would approve an Ethereum ETF, but it may not happen as soon as many people think, after the approval of BTC spot etf's in the U.S, an Ethereum ETF was going to follow and it will, but when is the question now. Another crypto stop etf approval would be a boost to the crypto market, in terms of its price and 'popularity' amongst institutional investors.

It is great to see Jambler on altcoinstalks, and also great that this forum is accepting privacy solutions, now that bitcointalk has banned them. Privacy is so important in the network, and i am glad that a reliable service like Jambler is going to get the exposure they deserve in this forum. I wish Jambler all the best.
