I just wanted to ask, is it only the senior members in this forum that can give karma, or the forum it self give karma, because definitely everybody im this forum started from somewhere k belive, so how did the first people that started got their karma?
And also do they give karma to users in this forum that post vital stuffs and are always active?

With the little knowledge I have gathered here, you get karma when you make quality post and making quality post is a function of the reader. What reader A sees as a quality post might not appeal quality to another reader and that is why not every ranking member gives karma to a post. I think from Sr Member you can give karma but then you don't have to abuse it.

On the issue of being active, when you are active and make good posts you can get more karma than a member who is inactive even if he makes good posts occasionally.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: No Notification For -Karma.
« on: March 23, 2024, 08:48:20 PM »
I don't really think -Karma even makes sense, anyone can give you -Karma for any reason, you can argue with a member and they select one of your post and give you -Karma, i think this option should be disabled for members, and only the admins should be able to give -Karma. If a user is shitposting too much, you report them to the moderator and the admin can punish them with -10 Karma.

I agree with you. In a forum where everyone is allowed to share his opinion, I don't think any opinion can be wrong as long as it is not plagiarized. You might not support my opinion that doesn't mean others won't support it and so what's the need for a -karma. As you have said, some persons with dubious character might use that as a revenge strategy to witch hunt individuals of good mind. It is better to neglect or give a contrary opinion to a post made by someone than to give a -karma. If possible, -karma should he disabled because to me it serves no purpose.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: For Newbies
« on: March 23, 2024, 08:40:41 PM »
Well, learning never ends and so every forum member can still learn something new. It is possible for a "full member" to know better than a "legendary". The ranking is based on who started first and not a function of who knows better. Where I am driving at is that even though the post is about newbies been consistent regardless of challenges, members of other ranks needs to always be abreast with the latest functioning of the forum.

The both are useful in the forum, just that the karma is giving by other advanced members of the forum if they find your post interesting or good, while the forum gives you points when you post...

I rate karma higher than points. My reason is that karma is like getting a thumbs up for a good post and so having karma shows that you are making an engaging post and so you should keep up but you can get points even when you are not making an engaging post. If my karma increases I will be happy but getting your points increased appears so normal and common compared to karma.

Gambling discussion / Re: Live sports betting is fun
« on: March 23, 2024, 08:27:45 PM »
I don't see anything fun in live sports betting. Most times when the game is favouring a particular option, the odd for the option becomes small and when it is against the option, the odd increases yet it is difficult to conclude on the outcome of the game even when you are watching it. When you know that it is not over until it is over you will learn to pre-bet and have better odd than you will get when the game is already in progress.

Passion they say drives the world and so gambling is too. I think passion can be equated to "reason" and so it will not be totally out of place to note that every gambler have a passion for gambling. The passion might differ but it is embedded in every gambler. Gambling for money is passion and also gambling for fun is passion too. I will say that gambling is a thing of passion.

It might appear surprising but it's true. I haven't involved in a casino game before. All my gamblings has been on sports betting. I grew up from an environment where playing and watching football is  highly appreciated and so this interest translated into gambling on football. Without mincing words, I prefer sports betting particularly football betting because I have an indepth understanding of the sport.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right for a lady to gamble ?
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:55:47 PM »
My wife and I sometimes like to play on different gambling platforms. But she chose Fairspin and she likes that many online casinos come up with interesting games with special effects, it really entertains and brings in some money. Still, the opportunity to receive substantial winnings attracts not only men, but also ladies

Gambling with your wife can be a bit fun and entertaining and can bring that excitement in a family when it is done rightly but you and your wife can continue enjoying the thrill if only you take a pause when necessary. Even though sometimes gambling brings some extra cash to the family as you noted but then I don't need a prophet to tell me too that most times you lose and your wife lose too. Enjoy the moment but be conscious of your stake to avoid irreparable loss.

Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be taken as a profession?
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:44:24 PM »
W e got proof many people loss their money, assets and all important thing in their life with gambling and why has ideas to make gambling as profession? its not difference with the system on sport betting or casino games during still in the gambling can't guarantee with the winning or profitable and can't be as profession. Try some thing with less risk such as working at the office have guarantee with how much salary earn every month become as profession than make gambling without any promising with how more winning bet than loss? I saw my self with in my environment have to sold their house after becoming gambling habit.

I agree with you. It is better to have a job where your salary or wages is certain rather than depending on gambling. In my thinking, approaching gambling as a profession is like working but not certain of pay. This thought is predicated on the belief that winning is not guaranteed and so this unpredicted nature of gambling makes gambling impossible to be relied upon as a profession.

Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite way to gamble part 2.
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:37:36 PM »
I went for 7 as I do not play in casinos . please note this pool includes off line or on line casinos
I don't like playing casinos as well but I tried to play games just to experience and yeah it does not work with me either. I just play lottery and offline sports betting. But I only play with extra money on this games, no hard earned money or loan money involved. Hopefully one day I will get the jackpot especially on lottery games.

"Oh good to hear that you're cautious and mindful about your gambling activities. Losing is not the problem in gambling but gambling with hard-earned money or loaned money creates the problem.
Losing in gambling is a problem, weather is your hard earn money or not.what you are losing is money,if is a borrow money or your personal money losing money in gambling,to me is a big problem.

Losing in gambling is not a problem because even before you place a bet, you know that you may not win. When you gamble with a budget losing will not amount to a problem for the gambler but when you are not guided by a budget you keep gambling and losing and sometimes, the gambler will try to recoup losses and this lies the problem in gambling.

Gambling discussion / Re: No risk no gain
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:27:43 PM »
Risk exists everywhere, no gain is possible without risk. Even investing involves a lot of risk, meaning life is full of risk. I also gamble and lose a lot, but still don't quit gambling because I hope one day I will win big so that all my losses are recovered. I know it's crazy thinking, but from my perspective the risk I'm taking here is one that will pay off.

True. As long as man exist, you must face risk. Life is risk. In fact only a dead man bear no risk. In gambling too, the moment you pick up an amount and stake, you have a risk to shoulder because there is every tendency that you might not get the desired return. But this notwithstanding, to gain means to risk. It is only when you take a risk that you can have a chance of gaining.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble wisely
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:23:16 PM »
Gambling is what people do for fun, its 50-50 either you win or you loose, Gambling is based on luck, you can also earn in crypto currency in most casino games and poca, but that Doyle's not means it is an investment...
Always stake wisely and do it as fun, and don't forget to stop or quit gambling especially when your making it an habit or becoming addicted to it.
It us quite hard for an addict to quit gambling, but if you really want to quit it you can do it, you just need to work on yourself,  shear your ideas about gambling wisely ...
When it comes to gambling, you must use all your intelligence and you must be responsible. You can't gamble with all the money in your pocket but you can gamble with a part of the money in your pocket and use your intelligence to try to bring the result of gambling in your favor. If the result is against then you can't be disappointed at all then you have to be patient and take a break. Be patient at the time and if you can take a break, work on your mistakes and gamble again later on, you may be more likely to succeed. The more intelligence you can apply in gambling and the more responsible you can be in gambling, the less losses you will incur in gambling.

The only role intelligence can play in your gambling is to make you gamble responsibly. Except this, intelligence cannot make you win. The importance of intelligence lies in the recognition that nothing is sure in gambling and so you should be minimal in the amount used for gambling.

But because it is still a gambling activity I will still not adopt it as a source of income but I can do both at the same time taking the opportunity and chances "if" casino can guarantee our winnings but if not why should I?
Yeah If there really was a casino gambling place that always gave wins, then I would continue to place very large bets at that casino, I would not miss the opportunity to get a lot of profit from that casino place.

Sounds funny. You are living in a fantasy. Every casino wants to profit and so there is no casino that can give you what you desire. Gamble responsibly and hope to be lucky.

Gambling discussion / Re: Keep trying you will win
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:11:24 PM »
Im gambling these days, mostly in casinos and sports betting people are motivated by other peoples win, and also they keep on trying their luck to see if it will be their turn to win big one day.
As a gambler, being motivated by other people's gambling winning is okay but don't over-bet based on that cos if you do, you would find yourself to be blamed at the end of the day. A gambler should only bet the little they can whether it is a loss or win, they try again later not what to do the whole day to make sure they win like others because each gambler luck is far different from others.

Having control when you gamble is very paramount. It will be irrational for a gambler to lose bitterly because of trying to record significant win. Most gamblers are lured into gambling because of the success story of another gamble but regardless of this mentality, a gambler should gamble with what he can afford to lose as you have mentioned.

Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever gambled your last card?
« on: March 20, 2024, 04:10:10 PM »
I have never gambled with my last card and I don't hope to do that. I labour so hard to make my money and so I don't gamble recklessly to avoid losing everything. I am not much of a gambler because I am scared of losing money so I only gamble when I feel losing will not affect me emotionally and mentally.
