- As you know. Altcointalk is called a Bitcoin-based forum. The whole system and the new level seem to be very similar to Bitcointalk when they start developing forums.
- At Altcointalk you just create enough posts to increase your rankings. It's similar to the early days of Bitcointalk when people just did it to improve their rankings.
- But the problem here is karma and merit. I do not know whether altcointalk's karma is limited by bitcointalk merit or not. But if altcointalk is growing and there are many people involved in the forum. Altcointalk then follows the chosen bitcointalk path
- But the problem here is karma and merit.I feared that Altcointalk's karma would be like the merit of bitcointalk. The forum is growing and the number of participants will increase. Highly ranked members will be extremely popular. After that, Karma will play a role in determining the ranking of members on the forum. It will happen?
Will Altcointalk follow the old way that bitcointalk has chosen?
I apologize for the mistakes in english grammar. I'm not good at English so please be sympathetic to me
One thing I would say is different is once you are a Karma source it does not appear to be limited like a 2:1 ratio like merit is, so its easier to disperse it and I do so very often. I somewhat agree that the karma/merit debate has a fine line going both ways and it will require a balancing act to make sure that Karma if implemented like merit, doesn't become such an annoying gaited system, and on top of that, a manipulated one. I think your concerns are valid and your concerns are felt, even amongst high ranking members, and we will make sure that it doesn't become as exclusionary as btt. +Karma for creating a good talking point post.
