Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Why Are Crypto Exchanges Hacked So Often?
« on: December 30, 2020, 01:47:35 PM »
From what I have seen over the years, most of the hacked exchanges are due to lack of security, as they say has happened with the last case, Livecoin, with Cryptopia something similar happened, although I think they were going to return the funds to users (we'll see if they do or not) although I've seen quite a few exit scams as well.

It has always been said that comparisons are hateful. I don't think it is a question of comparing the numbers of one forum with the other. Iit's about having admins and mods who know what they're doing, having good content, and continuing to grow. Everything else will come alone.

I suppose you already know Coingecko, its UI is much simpler and less loaded than Coinmarketcap, I personally like it a lot. Another option that I have been using for several weeks is Coinpaprika, it is relatively new and its UI and the way it treats the data reminds me of Coingecko, I like both sources.

Announcements [ANN] / Re: [ANN] Idena: The first Proof-of-Person Blockchain
« on: December 30, 2020, 10:32:47 AM »
@Jaephoenix this is not an official announcement because no member of the Idena team has published it here, but they know this post is here because I spoke with them for days to get some invitations and distribute them on the forum. When all 10 invitations are distributed the team will send me more.

The truth is that they are implementing what they announced from the beginning, the team is active and at the moment they are keeping their word, something that unfortunately we rarely see these days.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Will I survived this Eth Bear Market.
« on: December 30, 2020, 10:13:04 AM »
When Bitcoin stabilizes or drops a bit, it will be time for Ethereum and others. History has proven it (almost always) and there is no reason why this time it should not happen again. Another possible scenario not wanted by anyone would be a large correction in Bitcoin and the total volume of money that leaves the market, which would cause everything to fall in a very similar way to how it happened throughout 2017.

Governments will always ban what they cannot control, they cannot control cryptocurrencies, they do not want their citizens to have the freedom to do whatever they want with their money. That's why they ban them, so that somehow we remain slaves to their system.
Its true that they can not control the system but i think there is more feature coming out in crypto industry that helps to control the system .On the other hand it is popular cause it is an open source that helps to work with freedom .So lets the system to run its own way no need accept the future will be on crypto then what will they do??

Unfortunately they can take more drastic measures for crypto users, there are several countries that have already done it, such as Qatar, Nepal, Egypt, Bolivia, Algeria, Iran and many more, I have seen more than 15 countries in the same article. Governments can ban it, but they know their citizens will continue to use crypto. They make things more difficult for users..

I think the corrections are good and necessary so that the economic value is not inflated too artificially. With corrections it is more organic and more stable. As @rauchot says in 2021 there will be another pump, maybe sooner than we think.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Should we be stocking up on ALTS?
« on: December 29, 2020, 07:32:40 PM »
It is the exact moment according to my point of view, as long as the money continues to enter Bitcoin and the daily corrections are not very strong I will buy more altcoins, a few hours ago Reef appeared on Binance and I think it is time to get as many as possible.

Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: Bitcoin Towards Next Target
« on: December 29, 2020, 07:18:31 PM »
It is a matter of time and patience to reach $40,000, but the question as always is when. I think that day is not far away and in 2021 we will see it, we will have to endure some corrections but I think it will work out well.

Sorting Box / Re: Is doing bounty worth it?
« on: December 29, 2020, 04:50:05 PM »
It is not the same as in 2016 or 2017 (the way of doing things is different now), but if you know how to choose the correct bounty and everything goes well, you can earn money. I have never participated in an airdrop, the vast majority are scams and the rest do not give you even for peanuts.

cryptocurrencies are a new financial instrument and no country has a full-fledged legislative framework to regulate this industry

Exactly, in my country for example I can buy a house with crypto, but the laws do not specify whether the taxes on that sale must be paid in crypto or fiat. That's just one example of the holes in the legislation, and it makes me very angry.

Announcements [ANN] / [ANN] Idena: The first Proof-of-Person Blockchain
« on: December 29, 2020, 01:36:36 PM »
I'm doing this thread after talking to members of the Idena team. The reason is simple, I think there should be information on altcoinstalks (the only thing I have found in this forum about Idena is a closed thread and some thread in languages that I do not know) about this innovative project which is very different from most, which prevents users from having bad intentions, in addition to having a truly innovative system.

Where to start?

1. Visit the idena.io website to learn more about the project and find out more.
2. You must download and install the Idena Node and Idena Client executable files at  https://idena.io/?view=download or build them from source at https://github.com/idena-network.
3. Subscribe to the Idena Announcements channel at https://t.me/IdenaAnnouncements to follow updates.
4. Join the Idena Telegram chat here https://t.me/IdenaNetworkPublic and follow the instructions in the pinned message.
5. Make sure your node is synchronized, and activate the invitation code. Check your identity status; it should be "Candidate". The invitation can not be activated in last 5 minutes before the validation.
6. Learning how to solve flips: read the article in our blog  https://medium.com/idena/how-to-prove-your-identity-anonymously-919bdfe5249a and test yourself https://flips.idena.io/?pass=idena.io

How to get validated?
1. Check the next validation time in the Idena app or at the website.
2. Your node must be fully synchronized before the session starts.
3. Your computer time must be synchronized with the internet time.
4. Solve the flips during the validation session. Be agile. The first 6 flips must be submitted in less than 2 minutes.

What's next?
1. Once your identity is validated, keep your node up and running in order to mine coins.
2. Learn how to create flips. Don't forget to create three fips  before the next validation in advance. Schedule your next validation.

I want to thank Andrew for sending me some invitations. There are 10 (there will be more) available, if you want an invitation write a post requesting it and I'll send it to you by PM. Remember that you must validate your invitation in idena.io before your node starts working.

I quite like the new design, there is too much information that should not be displayed because it is not related to what you are looking at right now. I also see that they are constantly putting and removing things, hopefully the final design is less loaded.

For very simple reasons, here people talk, share information. The mods are normal people, they do not attack each other, they know that they are not gods, the information is well indexed and many other things, if I said everything I would be writing for hours...
