Bitcoin Forum / Re: Will Bitcoin Replace Gold as Store of Value?
« on: January 03, 2021, 11:50:55 AM »
They cannot compete in the same segment, Bitcon is digital and Gold is physical. Each has its own market niche. Although both are a reserve of value (in my opinion) their function must be differentiated, their way of working and their demand. Bitcoin should grow much more than it grows these days to reach the capitalization of Gold.

@Triedboy I am with you in what you say, what I mean is that sooner or later there will be one or more corrections, we all agree that it can go up to $50,000 and much more, but we also have to agree that there must be corrections, the market and history show it. Without corrections there would be no organic growth.

8598
To get to $50,000, you'd have to put in a lot more money than Bitcoin's capitalization has come in. It's going up a lot and very fast, yes, but at some point a correction will come and it will be quite large, I have read some market predictions that say it could go down to $19,000. Personally I hope it's not that big, but if it is, I hope this correction will get more money moving towards altcoins.

8599
If the money is distributed in the total capitalization yes @Expert but in this case it is only for Bitcoin. We will have to wait for a big correction in Bitcoin to maybe see others grow a bit.

Even if they haven't received any notification from the SEC or the courts, Bittrex can remove those pairs to prevent potential lawsuits or bigger issues until things are sorted out. In fact, I think it's okay for them to do it the way they are doing and not have worse problems.

8601
@Ghozrd in this case the problem is the SEC, if the SEC starts suing the exchanges (from USA) that work with anonymous currencies, those currencies must be eliminated preventively at least until the courts order it. If after the processes there are no legal problems they can be listed again.

8602
It is a direct attack on anonymous currencies. It looks like the SEC is going to extend its claws beyond XRP. I hope not all exchanges do the same. If all XMR, DASH and ZEC holders sell their bags those 3 markets will collapse, if they do (I would not like) at least I would like that money to enter other good coins/tokens.

2 minutes ago it reached $30.781,88, if the money continues to enter only in Bitcoin and the whole market does not collapse this year we can see  $50,000 and maybe more, who knows.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What are you now after 2020?
« on: January 02, 2021, 11:35:33 AM »
I've been here for a few days, I haven't participated in any bounty yet, but I didn't come here for that (maybe later), I came because it gave me the impression that it was a quiet and growing place, that's why i won't leave here. I like the friendly environment.

8605
No it's not a failure @tsakf, but we talk about crypto in general. As for Bitcoin, it is being a great success as we can all see,and it will go further because the demand grows every day, I hope the rest of the projects do as well.

Voting / Re: YOUR TOP ALTCOIN/S THIS 2021

BNB and Polkadot. BNB is backed by the largest exchange out there, although I have never really liked Binance because I think they abuse their position, but BNB can go much higher. And Polkadot for what they have achieved and are achieving, they are revolutionizing many things with their projects and their initial idea.

@codehash I guess the security on the big exchanges is better, they have a reputation to uphold. But no matter how big and safe an exchange is, I would never leave my coins/tokens, I always keep them myself, if someone steals them it will be my fault, if the exchange is hacked, it can take months until you get your funds back, if they give them back to you.

Not your keys, not your coins.

I have always thought that it is not just about numbers, if we have more users the quality and the publications in the forum will increase exponentially. We will have more ideas, more projects and therefore more organic growth, which is what it is all about.

XRP - Ripple Forum / Re: Will Ripple Coins Revive ?
« on: January 02, 2021, 09:54:04 AM »
After the heavy blow from the SEC and the announcement by several large exchanges telling users that they are going to delist XRP unfortunately I do not think it can revive. In just 7 days it has dropped by 31.78%. If Ripple does nothing for the next few weeks people will panic and sell their bags.
Yes it seems heading down to it yet we are all aware that until now xrp is still belong in the top ten at coinmarketcap. In it I am still. Onfident that even xrp would fail to recover just in weeks we can still count on it as a potential one for investment long term.

If in the next few weeks there were news from Ripple saying that they have reached an agreement with the SEC or that they are going to fix it without serious problems, the market would recover quickly, but I don't know if that will happen.
