If you plan to run a business in any jurisdiction, you need to register. Unless you plan to keep running away from the authorities like that 46 year old guy. This will also serve as a protection in case something happens to your business.

I would not be bothered by that number if I were part of Libra team. That may look small but that is only from the US. What if we take into account their target market which are third world countries?

XRP of course! Is it because they can always pump whenever they want being a centralized crypto?

As much as we wanted altcoins season to start but it may not be happening anytime soon. Not unless bitcoin moves sideways for a very long time.

Seriously, is there anyone here buying that leaked bill? Sorry but even the article looks really stupid to me. That writer must be too bored to even spend time writing about a topic that many in the crypto space is already familiar with.

Stable Coins Forum / Re: What good exchanges does Libra got listed?
« on: July 19, 2019, 07:13:10 PM »
In addition to what Fenix said, Binance is open to listing Libra once it is fully launched. It is expected to be next year but with several countries or authorities expressing their concern, it may take longer than the original plan.

You cannot really call it your wallet if someone else is in control of your funds. I don't really understand why would anyone use such when there are so many free mobile and web wallets out there that are good and allow you to keep your private keys.

The thing is whatever measure these centralized exchanges they use, they still remain sitting ducks to these hackers. CEXs can't really win against these expert hackers because they are always on the defensive. I cannot wait for these DEXs to take over.

Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) / IDEX KYC Details
« on: July 19, 2019, 12:16:26 PM »
IDEX already announced before that they will be requiring KYC verification of their user. Yesterday, they already laid out the details in a blog https://medium.com/idex/idex-kyc-transition-period-and-updated-asset-availability-for-us-markets-set-to-begin-d45e945f842d

Quote
Tier 1 Verification — After creating an account with a valid email address, you will be asked to provide your name, date of birth and country. Once the information is submitted, verification is instant, and you will be approved for unlimited trades and withdrawals of up to $5,000 USD per day.

Tier 2 Verification — For users who want to withdraw more than $5,000 USD per day, you will be asked to provide your address, a passport (or other approved ID), and a selfie. Once the information is submitted, verification can take as little as 30 seconds, and then you will be approved for unlimited trades and unlimited withdrawals.

I think it is safe to say many people will no longer be using IDEX with these changes.

Stable Coins Forum / Re: USA Pres. Trump view on Libra
« on: July 13, 2019, 09:23:17 AM »
I don't agree with what he said about bitcoin but on libra, I think he has a point :D They are centralized like a bank anyway.

Trump is a modern and interesting person, maybe Trump will become a Libra fan, helping Libra get stronger acceptance than BTC.
How so? In his tweet, he said libra will have little standing or dependability. That does not suggesst anything about Trump becoming a fan.

This is probably because most of UK and USA no longer use facebook. I wonder what the statistics are on other nations where facebook is still the preferred choice.

Suggestion Box / Re: Locking Old Threads

I have updated the OP and added one more. I will continue to add when I see more old and irrelevant topics.

How about plagiarized topic? Most of them are months behind the original post and usually irrelevant also. I think they should be locked too.

When we say "effective" we usually don't limit it to the price of a coin or token. In case of Ethereum, it is still quite effective on a good day in terms of transaction speed and fee. When it comes to price, it is a bit slow considering that ethereum 2.0 is just a few months away. I thought the price would already be around $500.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: USA Pres. Trump is not a fan of Bitcoin
« on: July 12, 2019, 07:35:02 PM »
He wants to preserve the diminishing value/image of the US Dollars that's why he is coming with this statements. I think he and other people in the financial institutions fears bitcoin. It does not really matter if he is a fan or not. What's more important is that he cannot stop the bitcoin train.

Suggestion Box / Locking Old Threads

There are so many old threads that are no longer relevant to today's discussion but still being bumped by some bounty hunters and I don't think the OPs plan to lock them up anytime soon. Can admin or mods do it?

Examples:
Ethereum will regain the number two positions. Locked
When Will Ethereum Get Back To #2 Locked
Welcome back ETH! Locked
Ethereum today. Locked
ETH holders will profit at the end of the year. Is it true? (posted 2018)Locked

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: FOMO is not good at all times!
« on: July 11, 2019, 05:24:45 PM »
I believe this is not the first time you've done this but it's never good to FOMO. There's little chance that you'll gain a good profit. Never catch a flying knife. Any pumped coin or token will be dumped immediately.
