Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Things To Wish for Crypto in 2022

For now, I'm just waiting for this recent period of stagnation to end. After that, we'll see. :)

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Will Bitcoin rise again?
« on: January 03, 2022, 07:14:21 PM »
Well, we can now look back and know the $100K didn't happen in 2021... And currently Bitcoin hasn't been performing well. But it will definitely rise again as long as it keeps being as popular and available as it is, since both rises and falls are a normal part of the market.

It's interesting to see that the original post was made almost a year ago and what it describes is pretty actual now, too. But we need to be wary of panic selling. In some cases, it's wise to cut your losses but when prices are already lower than when you bought in, at least in the case of large cryptos, it's often not a good idea. If you do, you just end up buying high and selling low, which is quite the opposite of the ideal.

FEB-MARCH-2022

What about feb-march 2022? Do you expect something to happen then specifically?
While I'm sure another bull run is bound to come sometime in the future, currently there aren't any events in clear sight that would inspire it.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Just Sharing: Feeling Like This?

Haha, yes, sometimes this is relatable. For myself I came up with a rule of thumb that if I want to sell a coin that I think has long-term potential, I only sell a part of it. That way I don't miss out completely if the price rises and don't lose too much if it falls.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Looming Regulations: Good or Bad?
« on: January 03, 2022, 06:51:38 PM »
Without cryptocurrency regulation, there will be no legalization. This must be realized and accepted by the state regulation of the cryptocurrency as an inevitable process. If we want cryptocurrency to develop and spread around the world, we will have to agree to certain regulation of its circulation. After all, states cannot fail to notice the free movement of large flows of capital, which, moreover, cannot be stopped by any borders. Only regulation is different and I would like it to be reasonable.

I agree, legalization and regulation come hand in hand. I also hope it will end up being reasonable and not overly strict.

Don't consider this financial advice but I would not sell at this loss, the whole crypto market has been down lately but it's probably temporary. In the long run, prices should pick up again. However, if I were you I would diversify a little more - this slump could also be a good opportunity to buy some other coins such as bitcoin or ethereum, and the more coins you are in, the smaller the chances of suffering long-term losses.

I usually use stablecoins when I want to get out of a trade, it is cheaper than converting back to fiat and easier than switching into another crypto.

Hi and welcome! You can sure learn a lot of useful things on this forum. I would also suggest you to learn about some things like technical analysis and trading strategies - you can do this with forex or stock trading online courses, there's more information available in those fields, and you can easily apply that knowledge to crypto trading (if that's what you're interested in).

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Who is really Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto?
« on: December 08, 2021, 09:17:21 AM »
Well, SN must exist since someone/some people did create Bitcoin. But so far none of the people who have claimed to be SN have seemed credible to me. I honestly doubt we will ever know who was/were behind it. They probably had a solid reason to remain anonymous for all these years.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: Future of dogecoin
« on: December 08, 2021, 09:12:57 AM »
Doge's huge return over the years was very spectacular, but if you are expecting huge returns, that era might be over. That's just my opinion, though, and it seems to still have some potential for growth. Musk hasn't renounced his support for it, so if he hypes it again in the future, it might surge again.

There are companies that genuinely issue an ICO to fund their project but sadly there are others that don't really offer much value and just want to get in on the money. Then their token is simply not popular and therefore not successful enough, or they outright pull an exit scam. This is why new projects should always be approached with caution.

It really depends on what directions regulations will take. I think some regulations would be good, but imposing strict limitations or bans, like some countries already do, wouldn't lead to much good.
By the way, you already have to pay taxes if you want to withdraw crypto profits in a legal manner. There have been some rumours that some governments would want to tax cryptos on every transaction, but as far as I know there is no way to do that right now.

That's why the only regulations in crypto that I support are those that protect investors from scam. If governments earn more than the individual investor, then something has gone terribly wrong.
And in the same time an Amazon pays 0% tax, but earns billions.

I agree. In many ways, cryptos have made investing possible and profitable even for people who don't have large amounts of capital.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin dominance has begun to decline.
« on: November 30, 2021, 09:23:53 AM »
Bitcoin's overall dominance on the market is bound to decline somewhat as more and more coins emerge over time. It doesn't necessarily mean anything bad for Bitcoin, though - it is still the biggest coin and I doubt that will change in the foreseeable future.
