Ethereum is the ONLY altcoin with the highest correlation to BTC. Bitcoin has a lower coin supply and is more liquid than Ethereum, but Ethereum has better technology and provides more uses than Bitcoin does. Also, Ethereum is the most active smart contract platform. Top 100 tokens by market cap, 94% are built on top of Ethereum. This proves that Ethereum has much more utility than just a token. Bitcoin’s fundamentals are not as strong as Ethereum and there is a small community working on updating it further compare to Ethereum. Ethereum may soon replace Bitcoin as the world’s most popular cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin should be called the father of all the cryptocurrency. It has dominance over the crypto market. If you look at the crypto market chart for the last few years you will see downtrend and uptrend of bitcoin can cause a major impact on the other cryptocurrency out there. It proves how popular bitcoin is.

If you have enough money then holding is a good option. Bitcoin was 0.08$ per BTC in July 2010. Now, look at that coin what it became in time. If you want maximum profit from a cryptocurrency you should wait for its potential growth. But trading is not a bad idea for some quick profit but you should not put any money in the market that you can not afford to lose.
