From my personal experience, I've realised that a lot of these exchanges would inevitably get accused of "scam" even when they're not, because they list a token that didn't do very well.

But one thing I've learnt is that, these guys are just obligated to make crypto available based on demand to their users.

This is why, doing your own due diligence is important before investing in any project, The good thing is, as we have projects that don't meet expectations, we also have examples on these exchanges that do very well.

Incentivised Posting / Shill / What's happening with BGB?
« on: December 26, 2024, 09:58:53 PM »
I woke up to find that BGB has flipped Pepe, LTC, and even BCC in terms of MCAP, currently at $10.2B atm.

This momentum is even obvious in what you can consider it's sister token, BWB. Today I saw that it rose by about 44%

My question now is what might be responsible for this, because if it was just the momentum of BTC, then it would have stopped when BTC did, but it doesn't look like it, with about 60% ROI in the past 7 days and more than 360% in a month.

We are still days away, but I'm already looking at  opportunities that the new year may bring, and one niche I'm looking at is th DeSci space that brings blockchain solutions to biotechnology.

Agreed, Biotech investments are often restricted to venture capitalists or institutional investors, but with projects like BIO Protocol democratizing access, anyone would be able to invest in them, through IP-NFTs, which makes me very optimistic.

It also helps, that a lot of top CEX are mentioning the project, the one I use Bitget, for example announced pre market, and it's the same with others as well. Let's see how this one goes.

Incentivised Posting / Shill / How would you rate crypto this year?
« on: December 24, 2024, 09:30:34 PM »
Like most people, the end of the year signals a time to look at how crypto and the market went for me, and although it went fairly well, but I always wondered what other might think.

If you were asked, how would you rate crypto and the market this year? We had the late upward surge, which was good, especially because of how much I lost early on, and even now we have events from CEX giving out the Apple Vision Pro, the Iphone, and even BTC, SOL, and BGB, the native token of the exchange, which gives me an opportunity for extra reward.

All things considered, I personally think it was a good year, and I'd like to know if you agree or if you have reservations.

Normally, It depends on the platform giving out this opportunity and their history with stuff like these. The prize pool you mentioned is the same as the christmas and new year event that BG announced, and if it's the same one I can confirm that it's legitimate.

But it's important that you continue to stay vigilant as there's a lot of scams in the crypto space targeted at newbies.

Meme Coins / Re: How do you decide a project's value?
« on: December 14, 2024, 03:38:55 PM »
What do people make of projects that operates in multiple niches, and how do investors approach them?

A good example of what I mean would be Stonks, which is a meme coin on Solana but also has a feature streamlines asset monitoring, and provide tools that  makes DeFi more accessible.

I'm sure there are other examples as well, but the question is does this make projects like these all the more valuable?

Everybody has his own way of investment on any memecoin, since we all have different approach and indication to follow before selecting for one, once we see that a project meet up to the required standard we lay and we are sure of the project #DevelopmentTeam  behind it, we may chose to go for such at our own risk, the ones I've mentioned are the main determinant to a project value which most of the investors look into.
Yeah I totally get what you mean, and personally I'm always lookingout for the team behind the projects I invest in as it can be a good tell.

As regards the risk, I didn't have to risk my own money, because of the PoolX on my exchange that gave users the token for locking ETH. Since I already have ETH it was a no brainer for me.

Well if you are actually referring to pre market launch prices then I'll just cap it all at those are obviously over hyped and that is as a result of two different reasons. One of them is premarket trading. For the case of premarket trading it's easy for price to either shift upwards or downwards depending on the amount of investors trading it and the fact remains it's almost like a virtual market since most of the liquidity is assumed.

For regular price after launch, it's actually determined based on how much liquidity they have available in relationship to how much of the token or coin they have in supply.
So for the example I gave, it has already listed and the price is not bad, I was just wondering if the double niche was a factor in pushing up the price, or if it's just regular demand or supply, or maybe even the kind of use case it provides.

Cryptocurrency discussions / What is the appeal for Layer 2 projects?
« on: December 13, 2024, 03:44:23 AM »
I've come across a lot of Layer 2 solutions recently, and while going through them, they all had one thing in common.

They basically reduce congestion and also lower gas fees. They do this by processing transactions off chain while still maintaining Ethereum's security, making DeFi, NFT and everyday crypto transactions faster and a lot more cheap.

Donald Trump is selling T shirts now? This seems a bit weird.

This guy has just been making a lot of bold moves since the election. I hope they all workout well.

I don't know if it would reach that price within the time frame given, but I know that there's still a lot of positive interest in BTC, and this would help with upward momentum for it's price. I think we'd remain bullish for a while.

That's the good thing about all the recent developments, increased adoption. Like you said, once it's become widely accepted in the US, a lot more countries would like to follow suit.
