Nigeria as a country has been having challenges when it comes to her economy which has resulted in the increase of cost of living in the country with inflation rate at it highest peak ever.

Every day our politicians speak Big grammar about how they will make changes and make our economy work but every day that passes the situation is getting worst by the day,but looking critically at our Nigerian society I have come to the realization that we are not yet ready for economic prosperity or growth as a country, because there are factors that will determine if a country is to have economic prosperity such factors includes
Having a good security system because security is critical to the economy of any country

Good road network_ for any country to have economic prosperity then they need to create good roads for easy transportation

Political stability_ for any country to have a good economy then the political sector of that country must be stable because when ever there is crisis in the political sector of a country it will be hard for such a country to have economic prosperity, political stability also includes the level or kind of politics that is been played in a country wether the politicians are sincere about developing the country or is the Nigerian kind of politicians that are not concerned about how they will improve the economic situation of the country
The big fat truth is that the politicians don't care if we die of hunger or poverty, if they really did they wouldn't even be involved with the embezzlement of public funds, and all sort of corruption. Their interest is rather on enriching themselves and their family member notthing more. So as citizens in this kind of situation all we have to do is help ourselves by learning various valuable skills which will help us scale away from poverty. God help us all.

Nigerian Languages / Re: How to begin coding 2024
« on: March 11, 2025, 05:48:52 PM »
If you are passionate about starting to code in 2024, i will advise taking some course in computer science and programming. Like , you could take and introduction course in python, java , HTML and CSS. These courses will help you for the basic ideas of programming, including loops and functions. Once you have understand the basic of coding, you can start working on your own projects and building your skills to be perfect.

I am interested in learning coding, which programming language would you recommend for a beginner to start with is it basic, java or python. People are saying c++ is also very good to start with but I need an experts opinion on this. I have to realise that programming creates an opportunity to for you without stress you can earn money from the comfort of your home doing this especially when you are good with developing a website. There are companies now looking for data base analysts and other tech related experts. Learning coding in 2024 is a very lucrative idea
If you are interested in learning coding begin with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This are the most simplest and they are the very foundation to fontend web development

Nigerian Languages / Re: Holding our leaders accountable
« on: March 11, 2025, 05:42:29 PM »
Most are times Nigerians are good when it comes to complaining and procrastinating the problems that they are facing in the country without proffering solutions to the issues at hand, one thing that I have been able to learn and come to agreement in life is that nothing happens with out a propelling Force behind it.

The development that we are seeing in Europe and in the Americas did not just come like that but it came as a result of people's efforts and advocacy,we as citizens has failed in our role by holding our leaders to account for what they are doing with the mandate that the citizens have given them by way of elections, we must leave this present level that we are  and stand up for our right by holding our leaders accountable in their duty to providing the basic amenities and creating the right environment for Nigerians to life a good life of their dreams
There is one thing to hold the government accountable and another is the government to actually see fault in what they have been doing and change their ways. I personally believe that the government do not care if the citizens are even alive or not, this can of course be seen in the way they run the country and handle matters. May God help us all

Nigerian Languages / Re: Unemployment in Nigeria
« on: March 11, 2025, 04:21:25 PM »
Omo the unemployment rate for Nigeria too much wetin sef joor , including a large youth population, a lack of job opportunities,  no investment in education and training. This country na where we dey go sef, Nigeria economy depends on oil and gas sector, wen dey hard for global sector. As no job so many people dey struggling to find work so them fit chop .you know any possible solution wen dey my people, from the past 8 years now we dey hear change change not even one improvement sef na hard the country don hard like this. Who put am for mission impossible?  Most time sef you go read some course sef no job for that course for the country example biochemistry no work person go graduate nothing come out you go still go back farming. This thing when dey happen now dey make many people no like go school again, them look education as trash now. The situation don make many responsible youth join arm robbery, kidnaping, yahoo, and many fraudulent activity so. Nothing our government don talk about this, everyday more people dey finish school no work even to increase salary na problem Nigeria as e dey so the wahala plenty. If you no go you no go know.
Corruption at various levels of the country even though the government should be highly blamed for this because they are mean to serve and care for the safety of the lives of citizens, individuals also has a part to play in corruption, imagine a the MD of a private company automatically disqualifying Job applicants not because they don't deserve the job but because he or sh is keeping that job for his son or daughter who is still in the tertiary Institution. It's so absolutely evil of men. May God help us all

Off topic & Sports / Re: Insecurity in nigeria
« on: March 11, 2025, 04:10:18 PM »
As a result of insecurity in the country,so many businesses and companies are closing down operations for fear of lives and properties, the kiddnappings have really affected so many investments, and also the lives of farmers in terms of production of foods in the country, due to my research i founds that the governments are really the cause of this insecurity we are experiencing in the country, lack of unemployments can also cause insecurity, because most kiddnappers are graduates, but lack of work can leads to fustration for them to to involve in it,the government please we need your suppourt to minimize this insecurity and unemployments.
The government are part of those causing insecurity but they are not the sole cause, this is because even if the government provide jobs, there are still some citizens that prefer to be in the street as a boss or king of their gang than to be under any form of boss, and as such they will still be in the street cause turbulence and menace in the lives of citizens. So therefore the total eradication of insecurity depends on bothe the effort of the government and it agencies and also on the citizens. Thank you

Nigerian Languages / Re: Do you believe in life after death
« on: March 11, 2025, 04:03:05 PM »
The truth is that life after death vary widely,so many people believes that life continues after death, while some people cease to exist, because i remember back then when my grand parents use to tell us about incarnation during there time people will die and incarnate to another place and start life, for me i think during there time is there believe.
DO WE ALL BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH LET'S DISCUSS?
Life after death is a concept which I personally believe in owing to my Christian doctrine. te book of Revelation 1 vs 18 says and I quote I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Takin a look at this scripture it shows that Jesus who came to earth as a man died and then liveth through resurrection, and since we as individual are the sons of God it means that we will still be alive after death and in this life after death,  humans will either be condemned to hell or heaven.

Nigerian Languages / Re: What do you think about the minimum wage?
« on: March 11, 2025, 03:51:24 PM »
Minimum wage in Nigeria it can lead to job loss, as the employers can afford to pay workers high wages. It can lead businesses to move overseas, where labour cost are cheap. Some people argue about the high minimum wage that it can lead to inflation, as the business may pass the cost of higher wages to consumers in form of high price. Additional higher minimum wage can help to reduce poverty and improve standard living. The main concern about minimum wage it causes job loss, as the employer's may not be able to afford to pay their worker's.Do you think these concerns will bring benefits of the minimum wage?
Sincerely speaking  the increment or decrement of the minimum wage has nothing to contribute to the betterment of the life of citizens or even that of the country. Imagine being paid using the new minimum wage and at the end of it all the price of a bag of rice alone is eating up a person monthly salary. So from mine own perspective, the government should on their end, work on the betterment of the economy, and this can be done by reducing the rate on corruption and so on, and when this is done,  the country becomes stable with the stability comes no inflation, moderate taxes, moderate transportation fare etc.

Our current state of education is outdated and inactive. We all live in a world where access of information and knowledge is ubiquitous. The value of memorizing information to regurgitste, write exams,  pass tests and get good grades had declined. Children growing up today will actually have four jobs at same time. But currently the model if education tell us to prepare for the future that doesn't exist. If the purpose of school is to turn us into fully responsible, happy adults, it failing on many levels. There are numerous things we should have known earlier enough growing from little having this mind set of leaders of tomorrow.Thinking of what I will have done on my 23 now I would have chosen a different career.
The present educational system is nothing but a big scam which is presented to Nigerians and then they sweet talked them into. Honestly speaking the present educational system is outdated and as such should be constantly updated, if truly the government means well for the citizens. Imagine me in my university  days I was taught topic which are meant for those in secondary and even primary schools, imagine me paying that huge amount of university fee only for me to be taught what my kid brother in primary school is learning. The government alongside the ministry of education should look into this

Nigerian Languages / Re: 2025 Any hope for The Nigerian Economy
« on: March 11, 2025, 03:17:57 PM »
With the 2024 coming to an end today being 31of December and with few hours left before we welcome the new Year as Nigerian let us have a sober reflection of how our government has handled our economy and look down deep within us with 2024 been marked with high inflation occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy which has made the goods and services in the country to have skyrocketed

And with the presentation of the 2025 budget to the national assembly is there any hope for the Nigerian economy come 2025
Let discuss
2024 has indeed been one of the worst year so far, due to inflations, kidnapping, bribery and corruption and the like and all this negativity has been solely propelled by those who are meant to be  the custodian of the law i.e those who are meant to protect the very citizens who voted them into power, it's just very sad. But I believe that 2025 will and only be better if those in power acknowledge all the wrongs they have been engaged in and take steps towards rectifying their mistakes, only then will 2025 be a favourable year

12
With the current economic situation of the country which has been charactarized by high inflation coupled with the fuel subsidy removal that has made fuel to has skyrocketed which has indirectly affected every single thing in the country am of the opinion that a special ministry of poverty aliviation be created to solve the problem of poverty because the rate of poverty has moved up to a unprecedented level as the current poverty aliviation programs of sharing rice and cartoons of Noodles to citizens is not helping matters but a special ministry that will empower Nigerian With skills that better equip Nigerian to face the economic challenges of the country
Creating a special ministry for poverty alleviation sounds good in theory, but the real issue isn’t the lack of ministries—it’s poor governance and mismanagement. Instead of another bureaucracy, the government should focus on real economic reforms, job creation, and skill development programs that actually empower Nigerians. Handing out rice and noodles is not a solution; we need sustainable policies that address the root causes of poverty.

President Tinubu emerges as the 3rd most corrupt leader in 2024 by OCCRP voted by readers and journalist, we have had bad leaders in the past but it wasn't this bad and he is only less than 2 years into office. The inflation and unemployment rate increased, subsidies removed, Naira devaluated, took the most loan already, excessive spending on his cabinets.. he's done more harm to Nigeria more than he met it. What are your thoughts?
Honestly, Tinubu’s administration has been a disaster so far. Less than two years in, and things have gotten worse—record-high inflation, rising unemployment, reckless borrowing, subsidy removal without a proper plan, and a devalued Naira that’s crushing Nigerians. The excessive spending on his cabinet just adds insult to injury. We've had bad leaders before, but this level of damage in such a short time is alarming. If this continues, I don't even want to imagine where Nigeria will be by the end of his term.
