Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Why Is Pi Still Holding Strong?
« on: March 15, 2025, 02:55:50 PM »
I've been following Pi since it got listed on several CEXs, and one of the most mind-blowing moments was when the market was dipping yet Pi was among the few tokens that kept pumping.

I guess that's what you get from a project with a strong community that truly believes in it. Plus, not all tokens are in circulation yet some airdrop claims are still locked, while others haven’t been verified. Many holders are still staking, trading, and participating in events like Candybomb a trading event where you deposit and trade PI, to gain rewards.

Which brings me to my question  how many of us ever guessed that Pi would have such a successful listing?
PI is the next big thing in the crypto market, I have been mining it since around 2021 or so and at first I saw it to be a potential scam like every other crypto project, well presently all my doubt has been proved wrong coz the project is really making waves in the market. Congratulations to all the holders of PI

Most of our parents are committed to traditional investments such as bank deposits, and some of them can neither read nor write and some have never heard of cryptocurrencies before, so in this situation, if we see that they have intention to do any kind of profitable investment, how do we convince them to invest in Bitcoin?
I'm interested in knowing what you think of this discussion.
First and foremost our parent are already used to traditional banking so trying to change their mind or convincing them to invest in Bitcoin may be like trying to break a brick wall with your bare hand, However there is a possibility of their acceptance if one could tell them of the long time benefit which is that they can get more interest when they buy a Bitcoin and keeps it overtime, also one can assure them that it is a safe, and tell them the numerous top rich men in the world who are holders of BTC, with this and the trust they have for you that is if of course they have, they can easily consider.

General Discussion / Re: is laziness inherited?
« on: March 15, 2025, 12:21:34 AM »
like the title says, do you believe that laziness is inherited? or at least that something we get from our parents? maybe it’s how we saw them growing up? or the principles and beliefs they instilled on us allowed us to grow too comfortable and therefore lazy? is it the result of the kind of environment you grew up on? where do people get their laziness from? and how can one overcome such thing?
Laziness isn't inherited it is rather learned from the environment having friends who are lazy will no how make one to be lazy someday and the best way to overcome this is for one to be very mindful of the kind of company you keep  and associate yourself with

Nigeria as a country has been having challenges when it comes to her economy which has resulted in the increase of cost of living in the country with inflation rate at it highest peak ever.
Corruption is actually the very first thing that needs to be considered and curbed in order to reduce the rate of corruption in the country. There are a lot of happenings every now and then that are eating up resources and the things that should anchor economic stability but it seems no one is concerned.

The political office these days is like a struggle for greener pastures and self benefitting things instead of a thrive to building the economy.
Very well said. Personally I don't think corruption can completely the eradicated from the country, it can only be reduced. Cause like a termite it has deeply eaten into the system, at every level of the country there is corruption coming from our leader down to the judiciary, the legislature etc. Basically I believe that if proper incorruptible disciplinary committee are set up to severely punished corrupt individuals or leaders irrespective of your status then I think corruption will be reduced

Over the years, the Nigerian Government has not allowed nor accepted the use of crypto currencies and Bitcoin mostly, even untill now, as (IMO) they see it as a means at which anyone who has the knowledge of crypto currencies and Bitcoin especially can easily escape the lock-up room of financial bondage, which they (to an extent) has put every citizens of Nigeria.

This is the only thing that has no restrictions and no one is able to tell what returns is being yielded. The government haven heard of the amount of money that can be obtainable, they desire to make a total end of the existence within the country and those using it in the country as well.

So, I ask, can the Nigerian Government ever accept or allow the use of crypto currencies? Let's discuss
Well I ont think the government will accept crypto currency and as such they banned it, but I think the ban was later lifted in 2023. Remember the CBN generated revenue for the FG, if the government allows cryptocurrency most of the mass will prefer investing in crypto than in their local banks and this may restrict the activities of the CBN which in turn may prevent the further generations of revenue for the government. Also the increasingly rise Cyber crime may make it impossible for the FG to back up the use of cryptocurrency, due to it being a decentralized system it may be difficult to trace or track any money lost to cybercrimes or mistake made by crypto user.

Considering the recent happenings (national economy, elections and elections related etc), let's do some analysis to identify the major sources of the problem which should help in getting solutions definitely.
The major source of our problem are simply the the electoral candidates, i.e our leader, you don't expect a positive result or a change in the country when the same set of people keeps coming to represent us

Nigerian Languages / Re: Inflation in Nigeria
« on: March 14, 2025, 09:20:14 PM »
The price of dollar to naira latelely has increased, which is affecting the price of goods and services and has led to inflation in the country.
The question many people may ask is ,
1. What is the meaning of inflation ?
2. What is the cause of inflation ?

I will start by defining the word "Inflation "

Inflation is the rate of increase in prices over a given period of time or tge increase in cost of living in a country. Generally, inflation also affects our exchange rate in the country.

The main cause of inflation in our modern day is; Devaluation. And Devaluation occurs when a currency loses value in comparison to other currencies. This makes imports more expensive and can lead to inflation ...
My very question wey if I see the President I go ask am be say even if any other thing wan cost, e no supposed be fuel, no be we way dey even sell crude oil to other countries... This thing really dey bother me but I no say God dey for us and him go help us, Amen

Also as a crypto specialist, clicking on anyhow lmk should be totally avoided because those links can be used to clear all of the tokens in your account and lastly trade will tested and reliable exchange or platform, let's be properly guided. God bless you all.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Do you believe in life after death
« on: March 14, 2025, 08:53:09 PM »
Of course, I am a Christian who believes in my faith. My faith teaches me that we are only visitors on a mission in earth and once our mission is over, we shall all return to our creator to give account of what we did on earth. That's what determines where your immoral being will dwell.
Where our immortal being will dwell will either be heaven or hell. It must be one, that place is where we will stay for eternity. What will take us there is the kind of life we live on earth. If it is good, we can find our immortal body in heaven. If it is bad, we find it in hell. One place are we to go to, we can't escape that.
Definitely, I agree with you heaven or hell is inescapable it is the abode of every occupant of this earth after death or at the end of the world, and this places are only accessible by our souls., and not our bodies, where we begin another life. So yes there is definitely a life after death

Society evolves which makes the old things not useful anymore and its the same thing I think with what is thought in school. If back in the days the school have lots of field trips to expose children to factories and historical sites, this time its all online. And politics changes as well which affects which books are to be on the shelves of the students.

Personally if there is something to be taught is teaching kids how economics works and then how to make money out of the economy being a regular person to investor. They never teach this at school.
I support you on this. Schools are meant to teach her student practical ways of making money instead of just filling up the head of the student with theories, and big grammar. There should be a subject which center around practical ways of making money. Am telling you if this is implemented there  wil be lessening in the rate of kidnapping, stealing and so on. The leader should really implement this.
