Nigerian Languages / Re: Freedom of Speech VS Freedom After Speech
« on: April 28, 2025, 09:38:35 PM »
This is where the problem lies. The youths are easily brainwashed because of some false and fake promises made to them at their election campaigns, and when they are given weapons to carry out their unsafe assignment, after it all, they don't return the weapons, and the government continues to pay them to carry out their dirty works. If I am not mistaken, almost all leaders of the country have their thugs that they call on when they have some dirty things to do.

That's why problems of insecurity is becoming an endemic to some parts of the country, some people are no longer controllable because of the dangerous thing they possessed, if not for all this things I actually love the way our country is in terms of not tolerating any form of weapons but because of political power they began to make it very relevant to people so that they could win their election without considering that they might not retrieve those weapons from them after the election, so in very aspects of problems in the country politics has a hand in them.
It's the work of the leaders to ensure peace and harmony in a country. If the leaders are selfish, they wouldn't want peace so that the voice of the people wouldn't be one. This is the main reason why they empower the foolish youths with ammunitions to cause trouble and oppress them. They know this and that's why they don't care of creating jobs so that they can control the jobless and use them as their tools for power.
It's true that our leaders are meant to be the initiator of peace and harmony in the nation, but they are simply doing the opposite. I mean no disrespect, but their actions have only attracted restlessness and unrest amongst the citizens. One funny things about this whole saga is that the citizens who are supposed to be hell bent on ensuring that they are united against any kind of political corruption. Some of the citizens are however the supporters of even some of the negative actions of our leaders, actually they don't even perceive the actions of our leaders as negative.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Cost of living wahala
« on: April 25, 2025, 07:49:23 PM »
If you are complaining now I wonder how you were thinking last year October when we were witnessing a large dimensions of cost of things, so now is even a relieving moments because for a year now this three past months has been a price drop of commodities in the country, so truly the price is still high but not the same as before now, the day I went to market was the day I new the price is slowly coming down, except they will increase it again.
I get your point, and you are right that there has been a slight drop in price here and there over the past few months. But for many people, especially those earning the same salary or less , even the current prices are still a burden.  The price of gas going from #1400 to #1200  doesn't feel like a relief when salaries hasn't moved an inch.
The frustration comes from the fact that basic needs are still out of reach for a lot of people. Yeah things were a lot worse last year, but survival shouldn't feel a little less suffering. It should feel like progress, and that is the gap that a lot of us are feeling.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: the pope sadly passes away
« on: April 23, 2025, 05:29:33 PM »
pope francis was the head of the catholic church for about 12 years even those who are not catholics may have known pope francis and i believe even as a noncatholic everyone can be inspired with the work he has done he was kind and very different from the past popes in the church in a good way as he was very welcoming to everyone and very humble and very down to earth

it would be nice to hear how people felt about the passing of such an important person in the world, regardless whether you are a catholic or not.
He was one of those rare leaders that lead with compassion, and genuine concern for humanity.  Even if you are not a Catholic, you could still feel the weight and sincerity of his messages. He brought a sense of calm and moral clarity to the world.  Truly he would be forever missed. May his gentle and calm soul rest in perfect peace..... Amen

In my year of trading and learning we get to understand that the learning don't stop to every SL and account blown you take something away from it no matter how small it is you learn from your mistakes that's what makes you grow into a better trader.

For me personally if you don't have patience just get ready to keep failing, you have to learn to wait for your setup that you've been learning and have backtest this strategy over and over again. Having your setup and having the physiology to know when the trend is against your setup is different.

Physiology is key when it comes to trading most traders don't when to say let end the day with this trade once they've made profit they think the market is their play ground and start feeling superior to the market, I'm sorry my friend no one can be 100% sure.

I'll like to hear your thoughts on how you've been able to survive in this space as we keep learning everyday.
When it comes to trading, a few key criteria stand's out. First of the risk management is crucial - knowing how much you are willing to lose on a trade help you to protect your capital. And then there is timing, knowing when to enter and leave a trade matters a lot. And then you need the right strategy, whether you are into technical or fundamental analysis, or a mixture of both, consistency is key. Lastly discipline is everything- even the best strategy can fail without patience and emotional discipline.

With de wey hunger and inflation dey do partnership 4 dis country, even de hardworking self don dey tire 4 de mata. 500naira no b 500naira again, 1000naira no be 1000naira again. If u fit chop 3 square meal everyday, den u join de piple wey dey live another life 4 wi country. Na y i dey salute all hardworking piple, especially those wey dey hustle, cum still dey invest sum portion of their hustle 4 Bitcoin or others.

Off topic & Sports / Re: How can depression be reduced or controlled.
« on: April 21, 2025, 08:43:46 PM »
Depression can be reduced through the help of a medical attention and also self care.the work of a doctor or psychotherapist is to provide drugs that can help to relieve it,while psychotherapy helps change in thinking patterns and behaviour modification and so on.Another solution is socialising; it helps to keep you in touch with family and friends whenever time your lonely, the advice with people with depression you may need a hospital stay or participate in an outpatient treatment program.
Honestly, I don't think there is a one size fit approach to controlling depression. However learning to take things one step at a time is a major way of reducing depression.  Talking to someone you trust, make a big difference even if it is not a professional. Sometimes just knowing that someone is listening helps ease the weight.
Also staying away from people or things that constantly drain your energy helps. It's not easy, but small steps goes a long way. We don't always talk about this things much, I am so glad that this topic is here.

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / One Game Always Ruins Everything
« on: April 21, 2025, 06:10:00 PM »
Let's be honest guys , is there anythin more frustrating than getting 9 out of 10 games right, and then the last one just ruins your whole ticket? It's always that one match that you were 100% sure about that ends up messing things up for you.
At this point, I don't even know if it's bad luck or I am just overthinking this bets. You do research, check stats, even avoid risky leagues but yet boom one team underperforms, and the whole ticket cuts.
Is there anyone else dealing with this? Would like to know how others deals with this.

Trading (Not crypto) / Re: What is commodity trading?
« on: April 21, 2025, 02:37:44 PM »
Commodity trading is an alternative to trading stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies. There are different types of commodity trading which are hard, energy, livestock, and agriculture or soft commodity. The hard commodity trading involves trading in precious metals that are mined or extracted like gold, silver, copper, platinum, and energy commodities like oil and natural gas. Commodities such as wheat, sugar, corn, and cocoa are known as soft commodities or agriculture. Unlike hard commodities, they are products that are grown, rather than extracted or mined.

What do you think of commodity trading?
Commodity trading is just one of those things that is highly dependent on timing and knowledge. It is simply the  buying and selling of physical goods(commodity)  like gold, oil as well as even agricultural products. What make this interesting is that the prices are not fixed, rather it changes from time to time and this changes are dependent on factors like  politics, weather as well as global demands.
To me this is a smart and strategic way to invest if and only if one understands the market and can handle the risks that are involved.  But if one make use of guesses here, it can feel a lot  loke gambling.
Commodity trading of course has the potential, but it is not something to jump into blindly.
