You get better point sha. But I just dey happy about the freedom wey traders don get and sometimes to apply for some documentation they go need your occupation so now we go fit write what we are into.
I understand ur happiness on dat news. But on the filling of wetin we dey do to put food on d table, shey e nor go betta to write businessman or make u write digital marketer? Anything wey nor go specifically reveal u as a crypto persin go betta oh. D reason be sey as awa kontry be like NEPA, u nor fit trust govment policies to be stable. Even as we dey like dis, I nor go surprise if Tinubu and his people nor go still find way to restrict cryptos before next year once America bad mouth cryptos. You sabi sey na America we dey copy copy na. So, what becomes ur fate if Bulaba ban cryptos again afta u don fill am for form for documentation?

So no more hiding and solo trading you can boldly be proud of what you do now and no uniform force can accuse you of illegal occupation. Thanks to the ministry of finance So no more hiding.
Neva run enta street to begin jubilate about dat wan, even if na true. You sabi how things dey be for we kontry. You go need to give am some time make d news circulate very well so dat e go enta d skulls of awa police and soldiers well well to avoid unnecessary harassment from dem wen dey stop you for interrogation.

Shey them no want we the youth to grow and enjoy the benefit of crypto as them our government no fit help.
Na just d simple truth be dat. Awa govment wan use poverty hold d masses down and na why dem nor dey like us enjoy or get access to anything wey go liberate d people from poverty. Cryptos dey free people financially. As we dey here we know how much wey dey enta awa kolo every week. How many people out there fit make wetin we dey make here without connection for d kontry? E hard out there my brother. As you dey like dis, e go hard make politicians fit convince you to take those stupid money wey dem dey share for campaign grounds and d reason be sey you fit afford am on ur own. Those wey nor get anything doing will roll over demselves to get it. Naija politicians dey use poverty as a weapon to hold dem people down.

Just to scatter plans for we wey like cryptos, awa govment introduced E-Naira during Bubu time. How market wit dat wan? If I rememba how dis APC govment take clamp down on awa crypto brothers dat year, e go really hard for me to trust dem now or later. I believe sey anything like support for cryptos coming from dis APC people na dagbo, big fat deceit. Nor go loose guard com trust dem oh. Dey very careful how you do ur deals using ur bank account. Last week wen I wan do P2P on Bybit, I see sey persin fit buy coin directly from banks in Naija sef. But I do eye like I nor see dat option. Nor be me dem go trick com later ban im account.

I had once written a post some weeks ago on the Chinese government continuous stand on crypto, and i stated that, "China may have a loose end on it crypto stand in near future".
Now based on the current Tarrif war, do you think that China will reconsider it initial crypto stand, that is, the crypto banned?
To be frank, I don't give a damn how China handles this ongoing tariff war with the US, whether she switches to cryptos or continues to maintain the Yuan. I'm nonchalant about all that because China did this industry dirty in 2017 with a ban on cryptos that nearly shattered the crypto space. Let her bear her burden.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: Questions regarding Mods
« on: April 11, 2025, 07:06:23 AM »
My first questions is to the moderators of this forum. How did you guys became moderators (both global and local)? Was there any specific criteria?
I write as someone who was a moderator at a defunct crypto site. Mine was that I indicated interest to be a mod when the question was raised on a thread for it by an admin (I guess site owner). It was a small traffic driven site with a lot of spammers on it. All that was required was for anyone to indicate interest that they were willing to moderate and then their profile was reviewed. Those that were found capable were picked after a few days.

My second questions is, how does one becomes mods even in 2025? Does he has to be super knowledgeable in terms of crypto? Or any other requirements?
I don't think any superb knowledge in cryptos really count as requirement, even here too. Perhaps being active and the willingness to control spam posts will be picked above the knowledgeable thing.

Quote
And my last questions is, what privileges/benefit's/advantages a mods gets apart from regular users?
But of course, there should be. I got paid on that forum as a mod but it was with the native token (shittoken) of that forum that never got listed 💔. I used to have that token either in my Imtoken or MEW app those days. I can't remember which exactly now. Moderating isn't easy but it's fun to do.

I dey surprise sey awa people still dey act surprise wit wetin Tinubu dey show us now. I was in Lagos when Tinubu became govnor of dat state and we sabi how tax collection and levies became his priority, use of thugs and all dat. Na so agbero take start and com spread everywhere. Na d same shege, lavish lifestyle and corruption we dey witness again today as im be president. Nothing has changed and nothing go change. Make una dey watch, na to push him son wey be Seyi Tinubu to become govnor of Lagos be d next thing.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Should countries accept BTC as means of payment?
« on: April 10, 2025, 01:05:48 PM »
Accepting Bitcoin as a legal tender may not give results and increases such as countries/companies allocating 5% of their profits to buy Bitcoin...
Buying and selling of Bitcoin is the mechanism that has kept its value considerably this high that we've seen it. It's not hodling it like it would be when nations buy for long term investment. I believe taking 5% out as suggested to put on Bitcoin periodically won't be a bad idea. If anything, it will help boost the confidence level of those who have the habit on tracing onchain transactions that activities are going on. That will help encourage more trading activities in that regards on that project, whether it's Bitcoin or any other cryptos. Mass acceptance of Bitcoin as a legal tender will give it more weight than the periodic percentile of buying and hodling of it.

Unfortunate for the legitimate users though.
It's indeed unfortunate for genuine users of exchanges. That's why anyone using P2P on any exchange, especially on Cexs has to be very carefully dealing with third party. You don't know the source of their money. Don't even deal with them. It's so one doesn't buy or sell to criminals one can't trace.

If everyone hedl and none sold, Bitcoin won't be worth anything. The only way to know the value of something is to subject it to the forces of the market. That was exactly what happend in 2010 with the famous 10,000 BTC for two pizza exchange that kick-started transactions on the chain. That action placed value on Bitcoin. Without that or any other activity of financial exchange, it's obvious no one would be using or talking of Bitcoin by now. For me, trading activities have better benefit for this industry than what hodlers are doing.
