Feel free to vote and drop your reasons in the comments. Lets see where the real conviction lies for the year ahead and there is no better place to find out on what altcoins you are missing out on than on this forum.

           -      Well, I can say that the ones you mentioned are potential, except for the one in which is Pi, I'm just wondering why you included Pi? Do you think Ethereum, Dogecoin and Solana are at the same level as Pi? We know that they were recently listed on the crypto market.

Not that I'm against Pi, but there are other old coins that have more potential than Pi, why didn't you choose that? Because you have holdings of Pi,
that's why you included it?

Maybe Op sees potential in it ;)

If you look at the total price of Bitcoin so far, there has been no significant price drop, but do you see altcoins now dropping very far when Bitcoin's all-time high was just reached and then now it's down?
Do you hold altcoins like Ethereum which reached a price of $3,300 and then now the price has dropped to $1,430, see it drop almost half the price. Aren't you panicking?
Waiting for the Super Cycle in a position where the altcoins lose half their price is very sad, especially for those who are holders of various altcoins.

If we hold in spot, don't you think that, eventually, we will reach the previous price anyways? Then there is nothing to worry about, as long as funds we are holding won't be needed to be converted in a dire need.

When we all know that dealing with bitcoin is more safe and profitable than any other altcoins, so tell me why we should leave the entire bitcoin network for altcoins and still apply a strategy that may not work on alts, these coins are not the same and we can't boast and be confident in them, bitcoin will always be my own choice and I will personally invest on it only, if you see me considering altcoins, then I've gone far with bitcoin and can't still use the same strategy for bitcoin on altcoins.

The main portion of our efforts should be put in BTC, if we want stability in our future, that is.

All the alts are there and they won't disappear from our radars, but they are mostly moving where BTC is headed (the ones that aren't premined fully, at least..)

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What are you thought's on BTC
« on: April 16, 2025, 09:24:37 AM »
The market is very confusing now and one cannot even ascertain the direction the market is headed until we see it already trailing on that path. The market has been very volatile on both sides. You may see it showing a bullish momentum but in some hours or in a 24 hour timeframe you’ll see it declining rapidly again. The Q2 is still on though and we still have more than two months to go which simply means we can’t tell how the Q2 is going to end, until we are approaching the end of the Q2. For now, just remain patient and seize any opportunity you see in the market to stash more bitcoin while hoping for a market recovery which will emanate to the long anticipated bull run of this cycle.

When the market is uncertain, it's better just to stick to the plan and keep accumulating BTC.

Other activities and newer coins may lead to losses, and surely, many anticipate the Bull's run or a new ATH during this year, because, clearly, there is a possibility of it happening if the confidence returns to the market.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What could become of Bitcoin?
« on: April 16, 2025, 08:49:56 AM »
The establishment of Bitcoin Strategic Reserve pioneered by the US government has call for the consideration of BTC by other countries while others are also standing against this development.
The political elements and US campaign are still felt, so the presence of Bitcoin Strategic Reverse could be just an effect of fulfilling Trump's campaign promises to his supporters from the cryptocurrency sector... yes, we can't see that as a serious decision as long as we don't see the US making large purchases or adopting cryptocurrency... as long as that doesn't happen, Trump's decision on cryptocurrency like his promises is just wishful thinking, because we still need something real...

Trump has the power to influence, so he could just talk about it without taking more serious action... even though the market responds to everything Trump says.

Actions speak louder than words, in our case.

And politicians love to play in the waiting game as long as they can, to maneuver in case of need.

As a beginner if you want to benefit from trading you don't have to be greedy. And cashout any small amount of profit you have made in any trade. Many traders are saying that crypto trading is much more difficult than forex trading while others are said it is crypto trading that is more simple. Though they are the same in some things. But as it is now in the stock market cryptocurrency traders are making profit more.

Proper risk management leads the way for newbies and veterans alike.

I would too say that crypto trading is simpler due to how available it became, and sure thing, one can learn much from being cautious and responsible on the market.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Never Be Greedy!
« on: April 15, 2025, 11:19:09 AM »
But talking about greed in trading, many people actually know that it should be avoided. But in reality avoiding greed is the most difficult thing that even I have experienced myself. Perhaps greed has become the most difficult human trait to control. But if we succeed in controlling it then it is possible for us to be more consistent in achieving profits. because it will be easier for us to carry out the careful planning that has been made.

Greed can be controlled if you have clear targets ahead of yourself.

It can't hit you when you are working toward a goal, not something that is not seen or well-thought: many become greedy if they see green and it only rises, only to plummit in one swift go.
Well of course greed can be controlled. Especially if someone has a very high level of discipline. And yes, one of the reasons we can control greed is when we already have a goal or target that has been created or has been included in our trading plan. Such as price targets and so on. But there are times when we go outside the plans that have been made when we are not disciplined and lose because of our greed.

Some, unfortunately, are getting thoughts of profiting bigger if they hold just for a day or two more - whereas it may end in theirs positions minus or its end entirely.

The problem is as you said, we don't know what factors can increase the price of Bitcoin at this time because Bitcoin from a price of 103,000 dollars has fallen back to its current price of around 83,000 dollars.
Although the total price of Bitcoin has increased gradually, short-term investors do not have the patience of long-term investors, they only want short-term profits.

Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Bitcoin Halving, all factors are present in Bitcoin but now Bitcoin is still fighting at a price of around 83,000 dollars. So what other factors will there be if Bitcoin wants to reach an all-time high again?

No fud around the overall situation on the market and everybody accepting that it's time to go up, apparently ;)

I was already out from the memecoin industry for a while now and other stuff like trading because I lost a lot from that most especially in the memecoin craze last year. I am not familiar with $RFC but hopefully you will make some good profit out of your investments OP. Good luck!
Totally get that. Last year’s memecoin season was brutal, I took a few hits myself, so I’ve mostly been on the sidelines too. RFC wasn’t something I planned on buying, just stumbled on it while doom-scrolling.

Appreciate the good wishes though if it flips into anything decent, I’ll definitely share an update.

Wishing you luck too. Market, for me, is too shaky to get into coins like that, but there are always those brave enough to try to take the risk a bit further.

Cheers if you suceed ;)

Even if we want to choose altcoins, it must be the top coins, and for me it is limited to Ethereum, BNB, and also SOL. But for other altcoins, honestly I have to think twice to do it. because I've done it and it didn't work very well.

and indeed this DCA system is actually very promising for Bitcoin, especially if it is done regularly from the bearish period and continues until the bullish peak later.
We can all easily see the profits from the long-term BTC DCA strategy, and everyone is advised to allocate at least 50% of their capital to BTC. However, it's a shame that they didn't follow through, greed made them want to take risks.

I've been DCAing and am profiting from BTC, which also allows me to take a little risk when thinking about altcoins for my portfolio. Right now, many altcoins are at their bottom, and I'm considering a DCA strategy for altcoins, for example ETH and DOT, to potentially earn greater profits. In any case, the profits from BTC will ensure that I will always be in profit this season.

What do you think about getting more SOL and LTC? Those would be also great to grab, in my opinion..

I haven't stayed long in the crypto market that I will begin to say I have lost a lot. What I have lost is currently the investment I made in altcoin last year and this year. I am positive anyway that most of them will give me the anticipated profits I long for when the altcoin season starts.

Altcoins has always been the first experience of a lot of people who lost their investment at the first place of there beginning, that's why people talk low about altcoins because it has brought heartbroken to a lot of people who invested wrongly, however even if someone should dwell on the altcoins it shouldn't be at the very start because by then the information the person will have may not be adequate enough to no the right one but when someone is mature enough on the crypto system will they be able to identify at least a considerable one.

Alts are, in many ways, a reflection on the crypto market - we have BTC, the stability incarnate, and people do need something to leave their bags in when the cycle of BTC is done for, that's why there are so many of them and with so many different cases / targets they try to achieve.

In any case - one shouldn't disregard them, but acknowledge and cherish his past experiences, good and bad ones.

Of the 4 coins mentioned, I only recommend BTC and ETH, not DOGE and SUI, DOGE is a meme token that goes up if there is FOMO from celebrities, if SUI I don't really follow its development and it's not familiar to me. As we know, BTC and ETH are the top coins and the prices are also the highest, if you are looking for something that can still be achieved, it's better to just use BNB or Sol
Bitcoin is on a different level, so I agree that bitcoin is the main one and it will always be in the portfolio only compared to others, or bitcoin is what I will always prioritize.

other altcoins are options for us if we want to invest other than bitcoin. And usually I only invest in a shorter time or not as long as I will hold bitcoin.

Bitcoin is tested and trusted with time.

Alts - some of them are too, but they are still not as stable as BTC regarding being appreciated in value as time goes on due to the values that some of them uphold (different from BTC's).

Tough to call. Maybe the season of memes and all other sh*ts have ended but the older ones with approved ETFs or those waiting approval still have some room to pump. I'm honestly just waiting what will happen to alts while still earning/buying BTC.

I don't think it ended because the market will respond overall to the BTC pump - and it should happen, according to what I hear from different sources, through 2025, when there are no obstacles to crush.
