Personally I rather not to use a seed because it is a single point of failure if it's compromised. The safest way is to have individually generated private keys for each address and then writing them on a paper in decimal.
But we all are lazy and like to use seed words to generate wallets because it's more convenient. Whatever you do please don't generate wallets by yourself, use the most trusted open source wallets.

Best way to have legit money is to legally earn it by means of "security bounty". This way they get paid and advertised. They no longer need to be worried about law enforcements going after them for theft.

Whatever platform that gets hacked is due to poor security designs, not necessarily a show of skills for hackers when they find a weak point.

I wonder, is the source code of said exchange now publicly available so that we could check and determine if there was a "hole" or the hackers were just that much good?
Doubt it if they reveal the source code, but if they do and there is no weak point, it'd prove someone from inside was in on it.
And if there was a hole in the code, well they will just loose their credibility in the future ( not that they have any right now).

Well, my btt account is inactive for a year now since I used secret question to auto ban it. Now if I want to unblock that, I'd have to prove my ownership by providing a signed message from a staked address which is cryptographically proof for verification, besides if I wanted to regain access to my btt account, why would I join here? Doesn't make any sense.

Btw, how can I teleport from bitcoin talk if my account is self banned over there? That means I can't access it to do whatever is needed but I have still access to my old BTC addy and can sign a message, would that work?
