bounties and airdrops are good. one to look at that is a really good program is from Aelf its called Candy. Really great implementation.

usually you can tell by the name or what they are attempting to do. usually ones that deal with lending are scams as well as ones that just don't match the name game (Ponzi Coin for example..lol)

bounties are a really good way. but ultimately the best way it take a larger some of money and invest it in a currency that will grow 10x plus. then from there collect and reinvest. eos and neo are platforms that are attempting to be the next ethereum and bitcoin and have dipped significantly so it might be a good opportunity.

yes you can still get some valuable coins with airdrops. Experty, Omnitude, PRL were all airdrops that were very successful. but there are some crappy ones too

i would say 4-5 seems more reasonable. $10 would mean an insane marketcap, i just do not see that happening this quickly.

my advice is to invest when a coin is down to get maximum value back. right now neo is low and can be a solid investment, eos, trx, deeponion, dragon chain,prl. these are all good platforms with purpose

EOS should be a big factor once the main net comes out in a few minutes. Could easily 10x if all the factors come into place. I wouldn't sleep on Tron too, they didn't hire those engineers from big firms for nothing! Also i like DeepOnion as a security coin, the supply is low, its mineable, and they have stayed true on their roadmap.
