) ... a good trading strategy includes of course a lot of research ... I would also wait for cheap prices and buy then .. so observing the market situation and be fast .... a friend of mine is quite into holding .... guess there are many strategies that can be successful you just have to find the best for you =)
) bitcoin has increased lately, so bc is a big player here .... and will probably make it... eth is also a strong player ... so I think these two will definitely be part of the winners in 2018.

as a 'newbie' it was at the beginning for me very difficult to evaluate the crypto market situation... I asked colleagues a lot who are into cryptocurrencies and did a lot of research... but well, it seems in fact a tough time for crypto investors at the moment (as some of you posted...) ... the only thing left is like always to wait that the market recovers.... and stay strong... hope the crypto future will be worth it
however everyone has his own opinion and his reasons... will read through them cheers!
I think when you are new to crypto you might underestimate the importance and the risks regarding security... a friend of mine was hacked once and when he heard that I'm now also into crypto he warned me... very important is of course not to use same passwords... well and other things you summed up quite well here...
I'm also not too long here, but I must say I like this forum, you learn a lot and there are really interesting topics to read about, I was quite skeptical first.... To 'have success' here you probably should be active, make good posts, answer questions and not to forget, educate yourself to get better at crypto. these are my personal thoughts. good luck
). digital currencies or money = cryptocurrencies ... and so bitcoin for example is one of the cryptocurrencies and, probably, the most popular one. and then there are other cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, that were created after the bitcoin - these are called altcoins. so basically every cryptocurrency apart from bitcoin. thats the idea I have about altcoins. the first step - learning about basics in cryptocurrencies has been done so now I'm stepping forward. currently also thinking about which wallet to use.... some friends of mine are also interested or experienced in crypto so I have also asked them .. my decision after that was to choose myetherwallet. Not yet using it actively but that will happen in the next days... but very interesting to see what other people use... thanks everyone for sharing here =)

how it comes that you are interested in crypto? I'm currently in the learning process as there is so much information and so many details 
so I read a LOT of articles and try to find good videos on youtube.... so if you know good learning sources, feel free to share Alex =)
