How will you compare XEM with BTC? How XEM is different from BTC?
There is no camparison with BTC and XEM, BTC is king of crypto and no ALT can beat BTC. U can compare XEM with other projects.

More precisely it is now very good to buy Tether because of the Tether coins which tend to be stable and still the same price with USD 1: 1.
If you are not able to trade with cryptocurrency which always gives a surprise, you better trade Fiat with Tether, which has price fluctuations around 0 - 0.9% .
Well ur opinion is good but trading between stable coins required large funds to get good profit. I think trading btc/usdt is good if someone want to get quick profit.

If you are in fear of loosing your crypto value in $ price than u can convert otherwise there is no reason for buying and holding. The value is stable and you can not gain profit.

I am looking to invest, doge has been my favourite, but am also looking at Tron, should I invest in doge coin or Tron, thanks for helping out.
Do not invest in both. In my opinion both are useless and containing too much supply and its increasing day by day.

If I could pick one crypto that suits for holding, that would be ethereum. Do you agree that this one is good for a holder ?
It's more established than other alts in the market and companies are adopting it.
Most the icos now a days accepting ETH for selling thier tokens thus the demand to ETH rises which effect in rise in the price of ETH. Their are so many other blockchain platforms but ETH is still number 1 and have many use case.

Yes off course it effect because of government fear about money laundering. Black money can be easily converted in to bitcoin and corrupt leaders can do it easily, Honest governments ban due to fear.

Doge was initilaly so attractive when there were not too many projects in the market but know there are so many other good projects that are better than doge. The another minus point of DOGE is anonymous supply which make it difficult to grow the price.

EOS has strong team and they are well funded project and i think it will be better than waves. But if you look at supply of EOS than waves is better and can go higher in price.
