Cryptocurrency Price Speculations / Re: ETH can dump below 2000$ ???
« on: February 13, 2025, 12:20:50 PM »
The cryptocurrency market is not only dynamic, but also very volatile. Me and you know from which price level where ETH came from and we also know the dynamics that influenced the movement. Sentiments could easily shift to the negative direction, and we will see ETH sitting at far below 2000 dollars.

Solana Forum / Re: Solana network shuts down, will you still invest in SOL?
« on: February 13, 2025, 12:00:58 PM »
It is quite disturbing, the issue with Solana network's incessant outage, The blockchain is quite a technological fit but the issue of outage is a serious cause of concern to investors, developers and enthusiasts. In my opinion, the outage is cause as a result of insufficient network infrastructure that breaks down during period of high traffic.

To answer your question OP,
- Yes, the Solana network incidence impact my investment decision.
- I'm greatly bothered by the network failure because many of the times I will be like this network can be shutdown anytime.
- Let the team improve their network infrastructure. Solana is a great tech, I believe it will trend with the rest of the market irrespective of it current bottleneck.

Solana Forum / Re: Do you use Solana network?
« on: February 13, 2025, 11:26:13 AM »
Yes OP, I use Solana network personally. I trade on DEX and Solana network is my top pick due to its strong community popularity and majorly it network's costs which is a lot cheaper in relation to say Ethereum and some of its layer2 chains. Please go ahead and create the thread for Solana, I believe this forum and its community of users has a lot of enthusiasm for Solana and its ecosystem.

Huh! This has taken so much time to get to this stage. Yet not everyone will be reimbursed within the said sixty days, I see there's a max threshold of 50 thousand dollars. I was a victim of the FTX collapse, I got tired in the claiming process after filling and submitting kyc and claim form multitude of times, at some point I said to myself that this money isnt coming back, I'm glad they will begin the reimbursement process soon even though I'm not certain I would get anything.

Yeah, I don't like CBDC too, it doe not alliened with the cryptocurrency concept of decentralization which makes it unnecessary to run side by side with Cryptocurrency, being a Centralized government back currency.
There are countries campaigning for CBDC because they want to monitor their citizen's transactions at all cost. I think CBDC should not operate on the blockchain because it may increase regulatoins.

The idea of a central bank digital currency (CBDC) is totally not worth it, I see it as a direct competition to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, meanwhile CBDC frankly cannot stand the competition with Bitcoin, it would only be a waste of taxpayers' money. In my country Nigeria, when the central bank was cracking down on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies 4-5 years ago, they introduced CBDC but guess what? today a lot of people including the banks have forgotten about this system, nobody talks about it including the media, meanwhile billions of taxpayers' money was used to settle some Switzerland fintech company to provision and maintain the system.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you still believe in old coins?
« on: February 13, 2025, 10:41:35 AM »
The problem with old coins is that they are not having flow of usd like before and it's discouraging because people that used to see potential in old coins to always rise are not seeing that tradition again and I think a time will come when old coins will be there because it's only old money that is circulating within it, there is no new money coming.

The only coin that is old and doing well is Bitcoin, it doesn't need any Kol to shill, doesn't need anyone to make them do something but people that believe will always believe and new money will surely comes in.
Very true, many of the old coins have witnessed serious decline in investors (fresh money) inflow over the course of time. I'll say this is majorly because the space is rapidly growing with new great ideas and solutions that are springing up daily, this shifts investors and enthusiast's interest towards diversification and consequently reducing the volume of investment inflow into these old coins and affecting their value and holders confidence over time.

To answer your question OP, I will say "Yes, people still believe in old coins", coins with use cases that have proven to have active and growing users that brings in steady value. The likes of DOT, ALGO and LTC etcetera have proven to be quite valuable, go to their various communities and witness the way developers and enthusiasts are utilizing these tech solutions to bridge certain gaps.

Personally, I have always wondered why a nation as huge, strong and popular as China will always be in the forefront when it comes to clamping down on Bitcoin and altcoins. Of course, Bitcoin has always been a threat to the central banks and this kind of news isn't new from China, hence why their policies are always against the technology, and it host of other affiliated solutions. In my personal opinion, the people in that part of the world are not deterred by these unfriendly policies because they are increasingly engaging in trading and investing in bitcoin and altcoins.

Very true, talks about quantum technology are perceived as serious threats to contemporary technologies and digital advancements. Even though quantum technology is definitely going to offer a lot of use cases for bitcoin and blockchains, evidence have proven that Bitcoin is resistant to its threats as a result of it very inherent technology.
