Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Emotions !
« on: April 26, 2025, 09:11:50 PM »
I have not witnessed anything like this either, quite the opposite, I only see people who while they seek and seek to win, what they manage to do is lose much more money, so in view of this it is not good to always bet on things that can be recovered by playing with more money and hard, it is better to cut those losses, it is much more viable, chasing losses will only bring more losses, personally I have fallen into that error many times, from personal experience I affirm that it is not a good idea to do so.

The desire to always chase loss is a trap that most gamblers have been unable to overcome because they believe that if they keep betting, they will be able to recover and even win more. What causes this is the belief that one can be lucky at any time, and thus only a gambler who perseveres will be lucky.

This adds pressure because every loss triggers a strong desire to recover, which can distort the gambler's ability to critically analyze the game because he is boiling inside and his gambling decisions are influenced by the increased pressure.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: for fun or to earn money?
« on: April 26, 2025, 07:52:57 PM »
Defeat and losses are two things that are inevitable, defeat, in the sense when it is a game that deals with playing with people of same skills or better, and who wins goes with the prize, while losses, when it comes to a game of 50/50 chances of winning or losing. The reason for seeing or taking gambling for fun, is to avoid financial trauma when facing loses, and with that, one can control how they play or gamble.

On a more reasonable fact, it is not right to take gambling as a means or source of income or making money, cause, it can lead to losing more than what you get at the end of the day. When it is taken as a means of making money, then greed and addiction is driving in, and when there is loses, the desire of regaining those losses will seat in, until your funds have run down before waking up from the nightmare.

Wins and losses is an integral game of gambling and the ability of a gambler to manage these outcomes will help the gambler manage his stake. This can be easily managed when the mindset of a gambler is healthy. Healthy in the sense that the gambler is not pushed to gamble because of he wants to make money.

A gambler who is concerned about making money through gambling can easily develop greed and chase losses since he can never be at rest until he makes money but sadly no amount of money can make a gambler take a break rather the more he wins the more he wants to gamble abs the higher thr tendency to lose more money.

Gambling discussion / Re: Difference between gambling and trading..
« on: April 26, 2025, 06:27:54 PM »
Knowledge will always be the basis for trading, Without knowledge there is nothing, that is why trading makes the difference with respect to the game , the Game if knowledge , Strategies of everything can be applied, but basically trading if the bases of technical and fundamental Analysis are met and all that is translated into knowledge People should not see the game the same as trading nor trading as the game because people who have experienced such things, because they lose money.

I agree. No trader can make good trading decisions without knowledge, as knowledge is the foundation of successful trading. There are numerous factors involved in trading, so in order for a trader to profit from trading, he or she must first learn the fundamentals of trading.

This is significant because making a profit becomes easier when the trader understands the trading. I believe that knowledge is what distinguishes trading from gambling, as no amount of knowledge can result in profit in gambling.

Gambling discussion / Re: Learn to play or it remains luck?

Yeah. There is nothing to learn about gambling except knowing the rules. A gambler cannot learn to win. Everything in gambling is about luck. Regardless of strategy or amount of research time, only the lucky gambler receives the winning ticket.  However, it is not advisable to gamble without intent.

Gamblers, particularly those who bet on sports, must make an effort to research. This is because there are visible factors that can influence the outcome of a game, and only a gambler who has conducted thorough research can come close to being lucky.

Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling profitable??
« on: April 26, 2025, 03:26:36 PM »
Being clear about that Shouldn't cause any kind of problems , that's why as far as we know, that's when we should play most Carefully , we should be jealous with our money, we shouldn't lose it just like that, we should be people who at the moment of playing shouldn't hurt every cent , every dollar that is lost, that's why we should be very aware of it.

The loss always occurs unconsciously. Even if the gambler is aware that gambling can result in loss, their belief that they will win always outweighs the possibility of losing. Even if this is the mindset of the majority of gamblers, there is a need to be aware that this is gambling and money is at stake, and it is not wise for a gambler to allow his self-belief to cause him to lose money.

Like you said, there is need for a gambler to be jealous with his money. This will allow him to gamble with caution and a sense of fear, limiting the amount he can lose because he is not placing bets impulsively.

Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever try to stop gambling?
« on: April 26, 2025, 03:16:16 PM »
Yes when one approach gambling like they can not do without it, it would be obviously clear that they are addicted. I will agree with your opinion that not only people who lose games are addicted, both constant and regular winner's to could be addicted because they too play everyday and luck always is on their side so they win game's too regular. Nobody would say much about them because they win but those who constantly lose are the talk of the day as there is no impact they have made and that would result to them being called all sorts of names.

True, when issues of gambling addiction arise, minds are always drawn to the loser because losses are visible and undesirable outcomes. Even this causes people to criticize gambling because losses are always viewed as products or gambling, providing a foundation for criticism.

However, winners are always recognized. A person who encourages someone to stop gambling simply because they are losing may be tempted to gamble again if another gambler wins. Winning covers addiction and that is why a gambler who is winning is never pictured as an addict.

Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you refill your gambling budget
« on: April 26, 2025, 02:30:34 PM »
When do you refill your budget?

I am more of a passive gambler than an active one. I can go months without gambling and only gamble when I have a specific game in mind, usually on my favorite team or in difficult games to show my support for the team.

Gambling has never been a viable source of income, so no budget is set aside for it. I just have to let go of some money when I want to gamble, and then I stop gambling for a while because not all games appear interest to me at all times.

no that post is not a scam, as a matter of fact the site directfund was created because it was not possible to raise fund for that family through traditional crowdfund websites that do not cover many developing countries ....

I was talking about the caption of the X account and not the donation website. He posted the link of the ATT donation and pictures of two Syrian war victims asking for donations.

The caption should be Atcointalk donation related no?

Hi admin(s), is there a way to teleport from btt here with a signed message from a staked address on btt? Since I self banned my account over there, I can't access it to do the required steps intended originally to do the teleport.

Hopefully once it's done, I will be able to post without limitations.

No self banned on BTT, you got banned for trolling and spamming. I don't think a signed message from staked address is enough to prove ownership. How do you plan to survive here anyway.

Okay but I found the caption on this post offensive and misleading. Seeking for donations under false information is wrong. This is not donations for the poeple of Syria

I will remove it if it is incorrect.
As far as I remember, I took the information from the crowdfunding site.
Right now, it's a bit complicated for me to do it, but first, I'll use my free time to check the accuracy.

Yes please, anyone reading that caption and click the link to find complete different information might add a scam community note on that post.

Do you operate that much x accounts and they're paid ads?
Earlier, among other things, I opened Twitter accounts for some of my clients. Over time, they were either abandoned or given up for various reasons, so they stayed in my hands. I use them from time to time, although now without a blue badge, the X account is not worth much.

Gambling discussion / Re: Learn to play or it remains luck?

Is there any gambling games that one can take time to learn and know how it goes to play and make wins, or come out maybe second in a leaderboard (if there is something of such) to take out something after the play or all are tagged to 50/50, either you win or lose everything?

Winnings in gambling ain’t certain, it’s basically a game of luck and chance. However one can’t rule out expertise and years of experience, especially in board games like cards you can’t rule out the role of experience because it will boost the wins of one of the players, an experience card player knows when to release each card and when not to, sometimes an experience card player will pretend not to have a particular card just to fool his opponent and release that card at a time when his opponent isn’t expecting, by so doing he stays ahead of his opponent but that doesn’t mean the place of luck is completely ruled out because even though a player is very skilled he will definitely play what he picks from the market and that’s not decided by him except he is cheating. So basically I'm of the opinion that gambling is a game of luck, but do your analysis very well before embarking in any form of gambling, ensure you have detailed knowledge of the game but note that there is no sure game so play safe.

There is aways a home advantage for the host club because they can make proper use of their home ground and crowd to win the match. However, PSG is not as weak as Madrid so I don't expect an easy win for Arsenal in the the first leg at Emirate Stadium.

Real Madrid were not weak, they were only dominated tactically in both games, that's not being weak, it not having the best day.  They wouldn't have made it to the stage they finished if they were actually weak as you said.

PSG and Arsenal play almost the same kind of football this season, always trying to posses the midfield and attack from the wings. It's going to be an interesting game but PSG could the pace of their wingers to their advantage but we'll see.

Aston Villa chances of securing a UEFA Champions League spot next season has indeed been reduced after loosing to Manchester City, but they are still in a mix, because of their current standing Aston Villa is 2 points behind 5th placed Newcastle United, which are currently in Champions League qualification zone. Liverpool and Arsenal are most certain to qualify for the champions League, with a significant lead over teams below. Giving the tight competition, Aston Villa need to win most of their remaining matches and hope that Newcastle United drops points to secure a top 5 finish.
Manchester City's remaining fixtures are games that they can win. So far in my head, I consider Manchester City to have already qualified for the Champions League; they will force their way through. Pep is getting his tactics and strategies right again. I bet he is plotting a return back next season to contend for the Premier League and Champions League plus any competition he is in. Rodri will be back; that will improve their strengths.

Not sure why you think they would be able to win all the remaining games , the fixtures seems easy on paper but we're at the stage of the season where every team are fighting to finish the season in top half of the table and every game is like a final. Their chances of making the CL is high looking at their next fixtures but anything can happen and they're mathetically not qualified yet.

KDB is leaving and maybe Gundogan too at the end of the season, an important positions left to fill
