From last few weeks bitcoin got dip and again bounce back to 88k, whales are accumulate bitcoin and we are retailers are selling because of some political drama like tariffs war, trumps new policy but big whales continue accumulate bitcoin it means soon bitcoin will hit new all time high again...

Such scenario really differentiates the big difference an ordinary small retail investors to a whale. I am not saying that there is something wrong with us but our thinking has become narrow-minded that we lost the long-term view while holding on to Bitcoin. The fruits or profits will really come later and that requires patience and time...not unless we think of the future our Bitcoin will just go to waste and gobbled by the whales.
Indeed the mindset of a whale is not to be compared to little investors in terms of purchase and profit making. A whale can make huge profit on short term as regards to their capital... But the petty investors needs to wait a longer time to meet bigger profit.

It is obvious that the Bigger your capital, the bigger your gain/profit.

Moreso, the news and speculations have little impacts on the mindset of a whale but it has a greater impact on the mindset of a petty investor causing the fear of wanting to sell fast so as to avoid to loss the little profit already obtained. And avoid having to wait rather they sell off take the little profit and go back to buy the dip again.

The Crypto industry is a very large space with different ways to enrich it's users which most of us here knows about. I once read a post concerning how we could make money in the Crypto world and various thoughts from different users triggered me to create this topic What aspect of Crypto is likely Gambling?

Most individuals compares crypto trading to Gambling, others compares crypto airdrops (P2E, A.K.A Tap-Tap) to gambling. While some still compare the likes of presales, ICO's, Investing in memecoins, pump and dump schemes etc to gambling.

Though most users do their personal comparison but in this present, what aspect of Crypto can be equated to gambling?

Your thoughts.

Everything you have mentioned is gambling indeed. Other I would personally add is altcoins bounty hunting, I have done plenty bounties over the years and handful of them were worth it, while most weren't.
Hahaha, I forgot to add that too... I have participated in some Altcoins Bounty but I've never gotten anything from them and there are no more Bounty projects presently like before mainly because of scams and trust issues.

Altcoins Bounty is indeed to be compared to gambling, more like these Airdrops and P2E games wasting much time making and submitting weekly posts and at the end it's all worthless.

So just for curiosity sake,

I really want to know what would have been the outcome if actually everyone stopped selling their Bitcoin and instead held on to it and the reason is because it's so tiring whenever you hear people complain about how someone have maybe made mistake by actually using or selling their Bitcoin but and am always suprised at this because Bitcoin itself is a currency that it's initial purpose was to be centered on decentralization and financial fairness but as it grew it's value or ability to be used as store of value have made people think that anyone who sells his Bitcoin is actually doing wrongly.
To my little knowledge, if everyone holds Bitcoin and stops selling...., something will be missing and probably the Bitcoin supply will be bought to the last fragment on a very swift manner.

But taking a look from the bigger picture, the candlestick patterns on the market trend will not be complete, we will be observing only green candles.

Also, there'll be no usefulness of miners...

So, if the price of BTC possibly surge as a result of no sales... Then it'll leave some form of negative impact on other aspects.

Speculation, this is the main reason why crypto trading and investing are also considered as gambling. Let's face it, many people buy some tokens without a strategy while thinking it would pump. Risk management or calculated risk is what separated investing and trading from gambling but that's not being followed by most.
No doubt @Zed0x, I have gotten such experience before... Buying a token without reason and feeling I am trading, no idea of what I was doing but I felt I was trading. And the outcome is always a loss, More like trading with feeling... Like one's feeling is what determines market trend.

But I strongly believe with a grounded knowledge on trading which I am currently working on will help my trading pattern.

« on: April 30, 2025, 02:45:13 PM »

I just observed, there was no link embedded on the image and text COINTOR.ORG

Goodluck.

Since your service is not opened yet I guess we just have to wait to see how efficient your service will be.
I'm a little confused here. If the service is not open and users are not using it, how can they determine its effectiveness?
You don't have to be confused @examplens, I'm simply trying to say... Since the service is not opened we just have to wait till it's opened and active then users can determine how efficient and effective their service is.

My apologies if I never made it clear from my previous comment.

Since Litecoin has a privacy update, is it necessary to create a Litecoin Mixer? This is the first time I've heard of the Tron Mixer.

I've only heard of the Bitcoin and Ethereum mixers, but if ZeusMix can offer this service, it'll be an advantage for them since most mixers offers the mixing of mostly BTC.
And also, it takes one person to start something new.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What if the airdrop is gone forever?
« on: April 29, 2025, 09:55:04 AM »
From my point of view, airdrops cannot leave the Crypto space because it has a big role it plays apart from the 2024 popular Telegram based P2E games, CEX also do airdrops.

Airdrop is just a part of promotional strategy and every new token requires promotion to foster exposure and popularity. Though these airdrops are much common with new projects but I can remember when I won an airdrop with one of these top CEX without getting to do any task but I think it was just a way of them still promoting their native token.

In conclusion I don't think airdrops can leave the Crypto space but it is obvious that they are not as active as before.

ZeusMix, welcome to the forum.

Since your service is not opened yet I guess we just have to wait to see how efficient your service will be. It's obvious more mixers are rising these days but their service will determine their lifespan.

It's very good making an Announcement thread here to share updates about your service.

Goodluck.

I have received an email from 🐳 Whale about new level of Battlepass. Maybe someone has already got himself familiar with that innovation? What exactly does it mean? I guess, the old Battlepasses are no longer active and we should climb up to the new levels to get a new Battlepass.

I haven't gotten any of those Battlepass because of the KYC process that's taking a longer time. I can't even tell if it's from my region or my device, so till now I don't even know what the Battlepass is all about.

Did you guys observed? The raffle has been cancelled, could it be because of the sluggishness of the slots getting filled up.
Besides, the current raffles in the Board took a longer time to fill up slots, if I'm not mistaking no one has even been filled up yet.

Coinomize's Animated Avatar Contest:
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=329744

Interesting, seeing another contest from the Coinomize team. But this one is not as easy as it seems, the prize pool is amazing and ability to submit 3 entries is persuasive.
I think here that the Coinomize team is not just creating a contest but helping users in the forum to improve their designing skill while competing for reward.

Big thanks to the Coinomize team.

I observed the entry slots were increased too.

We have just 5 slots left and I think it will be a good idea to share to local boards, for those who have a dedicated threads where they post links to games or signature campaigns for their local board members to be aware of this event. I think it’s due to the fact that people don’t visit games board that’s why slots are not being filled up quickly.
You're right mate, the board has less visitors probably because of similar named boards. Maybe they could post link on the chat section too so other users could fill up the open slots.
I observed the entry slots were increased too.

I think I read somewhere about how the slots get filled up quickly and thus the reason they switched from using hash to bitmover’s tool.

Thanks for mentioning.

Yeah, using this tool you can make a contests with whatever number of slots and select up to 30 winners. All using the block hash.
Nice tool @bitmover.. creates a chance for more users to be amongst the lucky winner. Thanks man.

The clue is not an easy one... I wonder if the egg is related to a list of something in the forum.
I tried searching but I couldn't find.

And also when I used the search bar, after searching for like 4 to 5 times, something showing GEERRR!! TAKE A BREATHE AND CONTINUE will display.

I didn't screenshot it, I would have uploaded the image.
