I don't think Bitcoin will reach at this price if no one selling it. The supply of Bitcoin is limited, so if no one sells we can't buy more if all the supply were bought [from seller(s)]. The price moves because of supply and demand. If the demand is higher than the supply, we expect for a higher price, while if the demand is lower than supply, the price is low. It's impossible to determine the price if no one sells, when there's a buyers there's always a sellers.

Very factual, although the op used the word if, which is not a definite statement, I will have to say that it is impossible for people to think of selling, Bitcoin is an asset so there's no way people that has invested in it wouldn't want to sell, realistically the reason for dips and upsurge is been determined by demand and supply theory just as you said.
Though in this kind of situation we may experience price increase but I don't think this kind thing will ever happen because at all time there are some people that'll always want to sell no matter how small it is.

Anyone watched that City- Crystal Palace early game cracker? Never seen that version of City this season, coming back from behind to whooping Crystal Palace 5-2 FT to go above Chelsea.

That was a surprising victory from Manchester City, if Manchester city had been putting this kind effort from the beginning of this season as they did today I think they would've been occupying a good position in the English premier League standings, what a lovely performance by city, I watched the match, when Crystal Palace scored their first goal, the reaction of Pep guardiola got me talking, I felt for him, am very happy with this winning of theirs, though the position they are occupying currently is a temporal one unless chelsea will fail to do the needful to Ipswich town tommorow.

Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: for fun or to earn money?
« on: April 11, 2025, 06:04:13 PM »
In some special gambling threads, they are conflicted regarding the function of gambling, some consider it as fun only and some consider it as a way to earn money quickly. What about you? If I myself feel gambling is a way to earn money quickly, although defeat is inevitable.

If you see gambling as an avenue to make quick money then you just have lose a lot in gambling because with what i know, yea we can make money through gambling and as a matter of fact many gamblers gambles for the money no doubt but we must be aware of the reality which is losing, this occurrence is a must so no matter how smart and cunning we think we can be, it is a must that we are going to lose so it is better we gamble with what can afford to lose to avoid being a loss chaser that may lead us to being addicted gambler, when you gamble with what you can afford to lose, you save yourself the stress of feeling very worried when you lose.

It's the same with crypto, we buy when the market is going down. Investing is about reaching your financial goals and for that you need to keep an eye on the rewards in all kinds of market conditions. Because some coins will be down at this point and it will take a long time for the price to recover in the future. However, buying good coins at low prices can be a smart strategy especially if you believe in the long term potential. You need to diversify your investments and keep in mind what coin I am buying, what its future holds, when the price might increase, and what the risks are.

You just stated the hard truth, the best thing to do when the market is going down is to hodl tight and buy aggressively, I think some people still don't understand this, the crypto market is very volatile it dips and recovers constantly but that should not make us to panic, I see people that panic during the dip or when the price of Bitcoin decline very bad as individuals that are not real investors, as an investor, the first thing you should know is the nature and concept of that particular investment, even as a newbie you should have a set goal but you've to understand how the crypto market works, once you see yourself in the digital money space, you should be ready for long-term especially when it comes to do with Bitcoin.

As for diversification, you can only diversify when you've reach the level of your satisfaction in Bitcoin acumulation aside that we don't shouldn't have any reason to diversify to any other crypto when we know that Bitcoin remain the best coin unless we are talking about investing in real estate thats if we got all it takes to do that.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What do we expect during Trump Era
« on: April 10, 2025, 06:58:58 PM »
Expect bull run because trump is a pro cryptocurrency president he will have a big influence with regards to bitcoin adaption and many more people will surely wanted to know more about bitcoin and how it works for good. I believe that year 2025 will be great and more earnings will come.

Yea you're very correct, though we are seeing what people see as harsh executive order and decisions taken by then president of united states Donald Trump and what I see as market manipulation but I will have to say that, this is also an opportunity for bitcoiners to push up their acumulation, for few days now we have being experiencing high-level of volatility in the crypto market generally, Bitcoin has been moving from $76k to $80k when we check back it will slide to either $77k or $78k which I see as a good avenue for people to buy more at a lower price, we may not no what's cooking in the next coming days but for me, I think we should be expecting more favorable surprises this year and that's why we should be prepared for it.

It is definitely worth a try if you are really interested in teaching your kids that. I hope that they understand why it is important, and being able to guide them through it would be good for them.

Maybe ask yourself first why you are doing it in the first place. Is it because you want them to learn a new type of financial instrument or another way to earn money?

I think we should understand that children are a very good instrument of the future, so teaching them about innovation and how to prepared for the future isn't bad, financial independent is a good thing though it should also be taught with caution, for me teaching my about Bitcoin in particular at early age is what I find very interesting but they'll have to also face their school and I wouldn't be forcing them on it too, I will have respect their feeling too if I find out that they are not really interested in it, I believe we all have choice, if tell them at that age may be they don't find it interesting then I wouldn't want to disturb them much but I will try my best for them to know the basics after all am a hodler and no one knows what will happen tomorrow.

To answer your question, I will say, am be teaching because I want them to understand what digital investment I and what can become of them in the future if they eventually decide to invest in Bitcoin when the are of age without wasting their money in things that doesn't guarantee a good financial standard for them in the future.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Are You Afraid of Trading?
« on: April 09, 2025, 05:09:54 PM »

I don't have the data but I think it would be safe to assume that people involved in cryptocurrency are more into HODLING rather than trading. We prefer hodling all because we understand well the possible risks in trading, no matter how good its potential to make money. I am not saying though that trading is something we should not get into but for now we prefer hodling as it is more passive and we can choose to forget the coins and tokens we have and just visit them from time to time.

Now, I would be honest that I am actually afraid of trading as I am not yet equipped with the skills and the knowledge as well as the experience that I must go through to be a successful one.

Do you feel the same...or do you think this is NOT the right way to look at trading?

Sincerely am not a trader and I don't think I want to be a trader though I may not say am against people that do trade after all is a personal decision so why will I want to be against, as a person or an individual in the crypto space we should have the reason or goals we are after, we must have a direction and I think my goals is to keep acumulating Bitcoin as much as I can continuously and consistently to keep hodling for a long-term, am not after any short term gain or profit as we may choose to call it, I see traders as people who gamble in and out, just as you said there is more risk in trading than hodling, as a hodler once price drops, your Bitcoin drops but value remains the same if it upsurge in the process you bounce back higher too, you can only lose access to your holdings when you misplace or forget your passphrase, key or password but as a trader, losing is inevitable, I think they difference is now clear which way to follow.

Where are the EPL fans?

Can you all say congratulations to Arsenal, they made us proud. Even when many were in doubt, they did it exceptionally against the most expensive forwards in the football currently.
Rice free kick =/> Roberto Carlos

Yea they really made us very proud as you said, am a Chelsea fan but I must give kudos to arsenal because they really did us good, though I know arsenal as an unserious team sometimes but I supported them yesterday because the match was like England teams against Spanish teams but in terms of general football I love Realmadrid for reason best known to me, I think I observed something in that match which I also have to say, on a general not and neutral ground, Carlo anceloti should stop depending totally on just mbamppe, it is high time they get some new strikers too, that young man can not perform magic, he's just one person and the expectations are too much, he's bound to run out of ideas sometimes that's why there should be good sub, the defensive midfield is not also that active, anceloti better act now or he may regret it later, with what happened yesterday, arsenal will still beat them again.

It seems like everyone is currently still shocked by the results of yesterday's match where Bayern and Real Madrid, who were the favorites, apparently lost. But don't forget that today we also have two matches that will be equally fierce and interesting. Namely the Barcelona vs Dortmund match and the PSG vs Aston Villa match.

In today's two matches, I think I already have a favorite team, namely Barcelona and PSG. Well, I prefer to favor the home team in today's two matches. Because apart from being hosts, we know that Barcelona and PSG are also quite favorites compared to their opponents, namely Dortmund and Aston Villa.

Yea you're right but in the game is no longer what it use to be, although football is one of those events that can end with surprises but I want having in that Realmadrid was going to lose 3:0 to arsenal, this is really disgraceful, the world giants in terms of football was disgraced by the gunners though shit happens and we shouldn't take to heart much because with both teams performance it will not be nice to see Realmadrid win such game reason being that arsenal was practically a better side and was very much ready to prove that they can actually do it, Realmadrid has to fix the house and check where the leakage is coming from and may be correct things as time goes by to avoid future repetition.

As for the games of today, Barcelona match may be full of goals because both side concedes and score goal too but barcelona may likely win the match, on the other hand PSG is also good but England teams are not to be joked with so I wouldn't want to give it all to PSG but let's see what both teams has to offer.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Why are people so crazy about buying Bitcoin?
« on: April 08, 2025, 05:04:49 PM »
Currently everyone wants to buy Bitcoin. Is this the right time to buy Bitcoin?
When the price was low earlier, people did not buy Bitcoin, but today, when the price of Bitcoin increases due to the boom, people want to buy it and invest in it. That investment is profitable for them, so people go crazy to buy Bitcoin, invest in it, hold it and trade, Which gives them a good profit.

You know in life people don't always start a journey when there mates started it, may be because of procrastination or doubtful mindset, the reason why people are doing everything people to buy Bitcoin now is the history it has created in the digital currency market, some people are bent of running when water has covered their legs already, Bitcoin has proven to be the best digital asset anyone can ever imagine, it is trustworthy, very much valued than any other coin out decentralized, easy to accumulate and hodl for a long-term without fear of anything, I think people are much more crazy to invest in Bitcoin because of the practical testimony the saw from individuals close them that are into Bitcoin may be those individuals bought when Bitcoin was as low as $4k and made a lot of cool cash as the price moved to $100k.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: bear run, what to expect?
« on: April 08, 2025, 04:51:02 PM »
i am sure that many people have recently found their way towards bitcoin and crypto last year and are only now experiencing the bull run

so the upcoming bear run is their first and i see newbies grow restless and anxious when the mention of bear run comes up but for those who have experienced the many cycles of bitcoin, we know that there is no need to panic or worry we can still make use of the market even when it’s down

first you can purchase more bitcoin and hold but bear run doesn’t mean it’s always gonna be down so if you could take advantage of the volatility you still can get profit we can also use this time to find projects that could be beneficial for when the bull run comes

what else should newbies expect comes the bear run?

I think bear run a bit confusing to some newbies because they feel that during the bear run Bitcoin will dip so bad and thats when panic comes, instead of them to see it as an avenue to buy more though most times I see some newbies as people that aren't ready to go through some stage of Bitcoin journey before the can actually benefit, the cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) market has two season which is the bearish and bullish season and sometimes the bearish doesn't go too extreme as we expect but it is still a good opportunity for serious investors to buy Bitcoin, I know some people will say why am I not mentioning any other coin aside Bitcoin, yea that's my choice, during bullish season we see many projects looking very lucrative and promising but I will advise newbies to stick to Bitcoin since they can't really figure out they one they can try but even though they want to try it should be with amount that they can easily let go although it should be a personal decision.

In conclusion newbies shouldn't expect a total dip during the bearish season because it may not happen that way, although the price all digital currency may also dip more than we expect but newbies should stick to the goal of buying more at all time even more aggressively during the bearish period and hodl for a long-term.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Lost Hope in Cryptocurrency in 2025
« on: April 07, 2025, 02:31:58 PM »
I only give true stories from around me in the cryptocurrency space. This pure true story was told by himself when talking to me via Phone.

I have a friend, he even knew cryptocurrency since 2013 but got involved massively in 2017 when there were many ICOs. He also said that forums like altcoinstalks and bitcointalk have been inactive since 2019 (unfortunately, I was not told which username his account was, maybe to protect his privacy) and since then he has only worked on airdrops.

Then a few days ago he called me and said something like this:

-I see that in 2025 I have given up, I no longer want to be involved in cryptocurrency for many reasons, including the price of cryptocurrency not being like 2013 to 2021.
-He also said that from 2022 until now the cryptocurrency market is saturated and cannot be relied on to take advantage of trading.
-He also said "Just look now, Bitcoin seems reluctant to go up again and many altcoins have dropped in price so sharply".

I heard his words on the phone like with a cynical tone and disappointment towards cryptocurrency.

For those of you who have known cryptocurrency for a long time from 2021 onwards, is my friend's statement valid with what you are feeling right now?

I don't really get the context in which your friend is coming from because I have not seen any disappointment from Bitcoin personally even other crypto like BNB, ethereum and other ones mentioned, Bitcoin has been moving upward despite the price correction it encounters sometimes so what else do he expect, as a matter of fact Bitcoin reached the expected ATH last year which is the milestone we expected and crypto skyrocketed and many people made a lot of money from this, if we should put all of this into consideration, I want to ask your friend, was the price of Bitcoin higher during those days than now, I assume that your friend is among those people that weren't taking things serious then, he sounds more like someone who missed those opportunity and may be he's feeling bad because of his decision then.
Some people had the opportunity to buy Bitcoin as low as 4k but missed the opportunity not because  they don't have the funds to buy but because of their unseriousness and inability to figure out what they really want, personally I think the market is very encouraging presently though the price is high than earlier but it doesn't prevent anyone from buying with the amount that fits their pucket even as the price of BTC has dip to $70k plus as a result of volatility which we know that this is price correction in process which may upsurge at any given time, this is also time for your friend to buy without procrastinating further.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Crypto Adoption spreading so fast!
« on: April 07, 2025, 02:02:30 PM »
The adoption of cryptocurrency and other digital assets across boarders is so alarming; like an earthquake…it’s happening so quick..

just today, I got to the news to see that an African Nation ‘Nigeria’ accepts crypto as a means of security for the first time..

I’m intrigued cuz it actually an affirmation to me that this might just be the next wealth creation momentum just building up..

for an early adopter, which assets do you think would be ok to start with? BTC, ETH, SUI, or DOGE?

More countries will have to accept all will happen with time, digital assets has come to stay but you should also know that the country you mentioned have many persons that are involved in cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) just that they government have in the past neglected what needed to be done, as government you don't have frustrate an inovations, as a government when you get to know about a technology even though you may not want to try it at first, try to figure out how such innovation can be if benefit to the citizens and trying to get a tax on it instead restricting citizen of being involved by frustrating the same whole process within your jurisdiction.

Am very happy that Nigeria government has woken up from slumber to member to do the needful but let this not be an avenue to over tax Nigeria who are involved in cryptocurrency.

Buddy I recommend BTC because it gots all in one, trust, reliability, it is the best digital asset anyone can think of investing into, so for safety purposes Bitcoin is what you need.

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Trading is not same thing as Gambling
« on: April 06, 2025, 03:08:33 PM »
Does that mean, in trading you don't need that luck??? It's very strange and it can't be accepted logically... because both trading and gambling, the luck factor is always a part of every decision... many people claim that they are good at trading, but when bad luck befalls them, they will feel small... yes just because luck is not on their side, they lose everything...

Buddy I think I share the same sentiment as you do, I have read through some comments here, some people write as if there are no similarities or things connecting gambling and trading, for me that's funny to hear, just as you said this two activities have a connection with luck, both are risky though some persons say they are good traders and I have heard about the stop loss stuff and way it works, in sportsbet which is gambling we have what we they call combo which is initiating a safest means of winning at the end of the gambling session, in details what this mean is that sometimes you may decide to chose 1 to 3 or more combo which means even though the games you chose cut 1 to 3 or more depending on the number of combo you chose, the slip will still be intact, so for me I think the both gambling and trading share some similarities and I think that makes them almost the same, no matter how you master trading, you must lose and I don't think that there's anyone that's involve in trading that has not lost before this is also applicable to gambling, so what next can we say.
