They all are volatile. But what differentiate bitcoin from those altcoins is it's ability to regain its value over time. If you watch how the market moves in relation with bitcoin price, you will know that must if those altcoins will not be able to survive without bitcoin. Also I usually advice newbies to stay away from mene tokens. Yes they might be profitable in a short time but same they can ruin you completely. So make sure to do researchs so you don't invest in something that carries too much risk.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling acceptable in your country?
« on: April 23, 2025, 04:35:16 AM »
I have done a lot of research to find that many countries do not accept gambling which means you cannot gamble directly even if you want to. But online gambling is now running in all countries and they can easily gamble online while maintaining privacy. But in most of the Muslim countries playing it is totally prohibited so people of those countries cannot directly play offline gambling. However please comment on its acceptability in your country.
I guess that would be for some religious countries where they are very strict again gambling. Well it's not restricted in my country as we have a lot of betting shops as well. The only thing I know might be restricted is under age gambling. Though they can fully cub it, but it's strictly against the rule here in my country.

Hello everyone, so quickly, what are those areas or aspects you think you should have done things differently or better if you were to start back from the beginning in this crypto space?
There are newbies that will love to learn
Just like some have already said, my greatest regrets is not buying bitcoin at the early stages. I think back then I knew what it was but don't trust any thing online so I literally just focus on better things and tried not ruining my plans for the future. Until now, I wish I could have a time machine and go back to buy some BTC when it was just $1... I guess so many people missed that opportunity or some knew of it's existence but threw away the opportunity...

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: eXch to shut down

It was very sad to see another big privacy exchange like this go down. I've used their services a few times in the past and it all went smoothly. I just hope and wish this would be resolved, but with how the case is linked, I don't think there's coming back. I wish them and their management good luck.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Freedom of Speech VS Freedom After Speech
« on: April 19, 2025, 06:11:22 PM »
I don't usually follow up these social medias. We all know how our government have silenced so many freedom speakers in the country. Yea we have so many rights as a Nigerian but how many of them have we been able to experience. We can't have a protest without the government killing people, we can't say out our mind without the fear of the unknown. Everything just not as how they are meant to be. We lost our rights when some Nigerians decided to vote the wrong person after been offered a small amount that won't be enough to feed them in a day.

Trading (Not crypto) / Re: Is forex becoming outdated?
« on: April 18, 2025, 08:33:03 PM »
Someone made reference to forex trading as learning to drive a manual car in a time when there are automatic cars that you can drive. The analogy is not quite accurate, but I get that they are trying to mean that Forex trading is almost becoming outdated with the new crypto trading. Do you agree that forex trading is becoming outdated?
Nahh, to me Forex is becoming much more familiar with a lot of young people these days. The rate at which we are having many young people transforming their lives now through forex trading is surprisingly good. Back then when Forex trading was still less popular, we didn't have good mentor to watch or learn from and this anspiring Forex traders couldn't get the right knowledge and would end up giving up.  Now with so many good profitable traders online, you can easily access their mentorships and with continuous practice in time you would see a good result.

Feel free to vote and drop your reasons in the comments. Lets see where the real conviction lies for the year ahead and there is no better place to find out on what altcoins you are missing out on than on this forum.
In my opinion I think I will go with solana. Ethereum is still the top altcoin however it's adoption rate seems to be dropping because of its problem of unlimited supply. Basically I believe the ethereum ecosystem would grow better if it's supply was limited.

As for solana I picked it because of the number of meme coins and tokens launched on the network from time to time. Eth will still remain top based on value but solana should pump better again.
Yea, solana. It has some potential of becoming something great in the future. We saw how all the market dumped recently and all coins were affected generally. Just few of them like sol, avax,Eth were able to revive themselves back up. For me, I don't think I'll be investigating in any alt coins yet. I'm watching the market for now to see it next moves.

Try to arrange your post properly mate, though I get your point. Yes, asa trader there are so many things that you have to consider for you to make profits from the market. Just having a strategy sometimes doesn't guarantee your wins. You need to have a good trading plan and see to it that you follow that plan. Most trader may think that over trading is consistency, but that's wrong. Being consistent means you are able to trade on valid setups most of the time and your losses are less compared to your wins.

How have you been surviving in this current market condition?
Well, the market in general is hitting very hard this period, with a lot of losses made by some investors and institutions. It's all just a matter of patience, losses will be recovered and more profits will be made. For me I'll stick to only buying major coins and not those new listed tokens as we might be expecting so many dumps from them this period. Like you said, diversify your investment would be a good plan, so do your research and take only valid ones..

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What do we need to do to get Bitcoin legalized??
« on: April 12, 2025, 01:43:42 AM »
Well, since we want Bitcoin to be legalized in all countries. I think since it is used more or less by everyone or in many countries it is also used as an investment and transaction. Since there is a good demand for Bitcoin by people, I think if it is legalized, everyone will probably use Bitcoin as an investment and transaction. But is there anything we can do for this. Which will help legalize Bitcoin.

What are your comments.??
Yea, but we should have it In mind that bot every country will legalize BTC. And we literally don't have to do anything to make that happen. I still remember few year back before El salvador became the first ever country to make bitcoin a legal tender. We had many BTC criticism by the governments. They called it scam and had no future. Bitcoin surprised them a few times and they had their own mindset changed and they all right now are chasing every single bitcoin they can purchase. It will take time even though it's going to happen..

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: when should you stop?
« on: April 11, 2025, 08:34:56 PM »
when someone is asking you about wanting to earn some extra money and you try to recommend cryptocurrency because it’s what you have been focusing on for quite a few years now but then they already have a preconceived notion about crypto and they are already acting like they know everything about crypto and just overall remains uninterested, wouldn’t you be less motivated to teach them about crypto?

at that point, i’d know that this person is not open minded and doesn’t want to actually learn something new so honestly i should just stop at that point and not teach them about crypto what about you? will you keep teaching this kind of person?
It's mostly like that. That why I dont recommended crypto for anyone aside my family members. Most people when they hear about cryptocurrency, they call it scam or a volatile investment. Some have very poor idea of crypto but don't want to learn something new about it. I remembered when those airdrops where on a hype and really booming, I literally heard some people wishing that bitcoin would create its own airdrop and share for them as well.. it was hilarious but then I just pretended that I didn't hear. Their mindset is already very poor and they don't want to improve it in any way.

Sometimes I play slots. I budget and try to have fun. But when I lose all my money and don’t win anything, I feel a sense of regret. The question is, why do I feel this way if I follow the rules of responsible gambling? I know that losing is part of the game, and I never spend more money than I can afford. But still, I feel disappointed. I wonder if others feel the same way, or if I’m just thinking about it too much…
It's normal to feel that way, we are all humans. But then we should remember that we gamble for a sense of excitement. If we allow our emotions to play into our gambling all the time we might end up making wrong decisions that doesn't go well with our risk management plan. Being emotional while gambling isn't adviced. You should continue being responsible and avoid being controlled by emotions.
