Ethereum Forum / Re: Etherscan - how to contact them?
« on: April 30, 2025, 12:29:47 AM »
Just to make an update on the whole case.
After a long time and a lot of submitted requests, in the end, they accepted the suggestions. Although they were quite close in communication and everything ended without any explanation.

I still have a large ethereum stash, bought at 300 in 2017.

I sold some for 4k in 2021, and didn't sold anything in the current cycle

I am now considering selling some at 3500 zone ,if it ever comes back.
I won't give you any advice on what to do, it's just my experience that I've had a lot of luck with converting from ETH to BTC over time. I was tired of the fact that nothing happens or that it moves very slowly, one step forward and two steps back.
I would say that the free fall began with the transition from POW to POS.

However,  I don't see a clear replacement for ethereum. Solana looks just a memecoin hub to me, while important projects are still in ethereum chain.
We'll see. And Ethereum started as a base for the ICO mania, which later turned into a scam. Today, ETH maintains several popular and widely used tokens like USDT. For example, a lot of work is being done on Solana now, there is a high probability that some useful token will be created in that pile.

Forum related / Re: New logo?
« on: April 29, 2025, 11:06:38 PM »
Do we have permanent change of AltcoinsTalks logo, or this is some testing? And who made this new logo?
I think the new logo looks cleaner and it is better than old logo, but I would make some corrections, maybe make word ALT the same orange color as word TALKS.
I am interested to hear what other members think about it.

I also like the new logo better.
If we are already talking about the combination of colors, it would be more logical for the "Altcoins" part to be orange, and the "talks" part to be black. This would emphasize an important part of the forum's name and the fact that it is more dedicated to altcoins.

I didn't follow the whole discussion, but will the winners of each category get some badges next to their names?
At least some discreet icon would be fine.

Seems that you can use other tokens with value. I am trying to confirm this.

If you use metamask wallet you can pay with other coins. When you move value

So it is not free.

Usdc and usdt are acceptable.

So if i have 2 ETH to send,a person I can pay the fee in usdc or usdt
Yes, you're right. The news is that Ethereum is no longer required for token transactions.

Ethereum still has an active community, an ETF, and some use cases, in addition to the potential for blockchain use in DeFi and stablecoins, but there is inevitably stiff competition from some altcoins.
Buying now wouldn't be a bad idea, as the price is nearly at its bottom, but Ethereum's value against Bitcoin is falling sharply, so Bitcoin is performing better than Ethereum, and it's not considered *diversification.*
An interesting meme is circulating these days, which confirms that I am not the only one who thinks in this direction when it comes to Ethereum.

I just visited your help center https://jokermix.to/help-center
If I may make a suggestion, change this a little to make it more efficient to use. This is a form of FaQ, so you should emphasize "questions" for easier navigation and visibility, bolded, for example. Because right no,w everything looks like a bunch of text
So for example, instead of

Since your service is not opened yet I guess we just have to wait to see how efficient your service will be.
I'm a little confused here. If the service is not open and users are not using it, how can they determine its effectiveness?

9
You have too much text in your signature. You copied/pasted too much of that
You don't need this "Legendary / Hero Member / Sr Member"...

I think the team just want to create the first announcement about the mixer platform, like trying to let the public and the forum get some awareness about the mixer, probably they may be giving out regular updates as things progress. They are actually welcome to the forum, hoping that they provide details of the mixer.
They should highlight on the website the information that the mixer is not yet fully functional, or if it is acceptable, "not open yet". Now we have such information shyly written, like a footnote.

Adding a GitHub repository for open-source use and for anyone interested in reviewing the code.
Just a heads-up: it's currently not documented, and honestly, I have no idea how to properly document it yet.

GitHub: pxzone/telegram-wallet-notifier
Since you use Twitter, I suggest you use Grok and ask for some explanations. He often helped me, and the good thing about the free version is that (unlike ChatGPT) it can search online resources and deliver a quick answer.

btw. when we talk about Ethereum, I saw this from official metamask on X.
What does this exactly mean?
Is it really possible to use the Ethereum network for free?

ETH is no longer required for gas.

But even further, you can now choose a token to use as gas for all of your MetaMask transactions.

Okay but I found the caption on this post offensive and misleading. Seeking for donations under false information is wrong. This is not donations for the poeple of Syria

I will remove it if it is incorrect.
As far as I remember, I took the information from the crowdfunding site.
Right now, it's a bit complicated for me to do it, but first, I'll use my free time to check the accuracy.

Ethereum has been bothering me for the past year. At some point, I needed cash and decided to liquidate it. If I remember correctly, it was around $3400 at that point. I was probably lucky in everything because after that, ETH just kept sinking.

I currently have an almost insignificant amount, but I decided not to consider it an option when diversifying my portfolio. Will hold Ethereum only as long as I have to.

I'm pretty sure Ethereum's best days are over, and it will at best stay at the value it has had for the last year.
Does anyone more experienced have any reasons why I might be thinking wrongly?

eXch / Re: eXch - Official Announcements and Discussion Thread
« on: April 25, 2025, 10:36:13 PM »
I haven't seen people talking about it in reddit. Can you share? Any specific community?

r/Monero
There, I first read that eXch had announced a shutdown.
eXch was considered a reliable resource there, and attitudes towards them were generally positive.
