Bitcoin Forum / Re: What to expect from BTC
« on: April 30, 2025, 06:58:37 AM »
---
What are your thoughts on BTC? Do you think we would ever get close to the previous ATH, or would we go lower?
The month of April has been bullish not only for Bitcoin, but for most of the altcoins as well as they already recovered from what happened in the last 2 months... or at least they recovered a bit.

Because of this, I expect that the next months of Bitcoin and top altcoins will be bullish as well. Bitcoin might reach new ATH as well in the next months, but in order for that to happen, it must break the strong resistance which is at $100,000. I don't think that we will be going lower after this one, or at least I'm not expecting that we will revisit the lows of $80,000 or $74,000 this bull run.

This is my prediction. A prediction coming from an average investor. :D

I sold mine since last year around this April also. But I still do have a fraction of it not even importing that wallet anymore.

It was disappointing that price didn't go up after it pump more  than 4k anymore and the more people saying something about it being POS makes me wanna send it all to USDT, I do have few ERC20 tokens though so if ever ETH goes 5k, these tokens might also be big as well. So I'm keeping these tokens still.
It's a big disappointment indeed. I mean when Bitcoin's price goes up, Ethereum is just moving sideways, but when Bitcoin goes down, Ethereum goes down even more which makes Ethereum very disappointing to those who are holding it. Maybe one reason why Ethereum remained stagnant was the meme coin hype around Solana because the altcoin market became diluted, and a huge portion of money that's supposed to be invested into the top altcoins went into these new meme coins on Solana blockchain.

It was disappointing, but I'm thinking of any reason why I don't want to hold some ETH for long term and.... and... I can't think of any huge reason at all.  :(

However,  I don't see a clear replacement for ethereum. Solana looks just a memecoin hub to me, while important projects are still in ethereum chain.
While Solana had some good projects, Ethereum is still at the top. Like you, I can't think of any altcoin that can replace Ethereum as a good long term to hold. Solana might be the closest, but not as close as many are thinking. It just became popular because of the meme coin hype around pump.fun.

As reminder, Celcius was company that offered high yield/APR for deposited coin and filled for bankrupt back in 2022. It's not surprising they make such demand, but IMO it's unlikely to happen when SBF only received 25 years jail time. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
I'm not familiar with how much money does the customers lost in Celsius, but looking at how many years SBF will be in jail, we can speculate that Alex Mashinsky will suffer the same fate as well or if not, at least near 25 years as well.

What happened with Celsius really is a devastating thing especially for those who deposited their life savings on that platform. Yes, we always say that we should not put our life savings into platforms like Celsius, but we know that there will still be people that will be doing because they want to earn their money instead of just being stored, but not appreciating at all.

As for me, I guess I'm fortunate that I didn't put any money on Celsius. Just for context, I also thought of putting some on it as well because I've seen this platform already back then.

Re: Do you see bitcoin as a thrilling investment or a risky bet?
Both... or I should say that Bitcoin is an exciting investment rather than thrilling, and at the same time, a risky investment as well.

It can be a risky investment for those who don't know the crypto market moves. If you know how the market moves for the long run, you will know what you're doing hence, lowering the risk on it. If you know when the possible bull run and bear market is, you will know when to exit and enter. On the flip side, Bitcoin is a very exciting investment because of how volatile it is. Yes, it can give you profit in a short amount of time compared to other asset class, but you can lose money faster as well if you don't know what you're doing.

News related to Crypto / Re: xrp etf in brazil
« on: April 30, 2025, 04:57:25 AM »
----
ironically xrp is an american company but until now doesn’t have any official etf yet in the country and we see brazil is the one taking those steps forward if usa continues to be indecisive sooner or later more countries will be ahead of usa in terms of crypto industry
It's easy to say things like "more countries will be ahead of USA in terms of crypto industry" when another country becomes the first country to do something related to crypto, but let's take note that the US companies particularly those huge institutions are the first ones that got the first Spot Bitcoin ETF, and Spot Ethereum ETF. This is far more impactful than XRP only. Too exaggerated in my opinion.

Anyway, the chairman of the SEC right now is a pro-crypto so it's only a matter of time until a Spot Ripple ETF will be accepted as well. Just wait.

---
With this news of the approval of your ETF in brazil, do you speculate that it will drive XRP higher or will it change relatively nothing?
It didn't have any effect at all towards the price of XRP, and probably it's because it isn't US that accepted it. Anyway, like I said, it's only a matter of time until US institutions will apply for their own Spot Ripple ETF as well.

Airdrops used to be easy, but now they take more effort. Some still pay well if you catch them early, but a lot end up being a waste of time. Many require too much personal info or money, and some never even launch.
Just a few hours ago, I got some airdropped tokens from MILK.
Is it worth it? Not at all at least on my part because I lend a certain amount of money (liquidity pool) to earn points and in the end, I earned pure dust.

It was very easy to earn a few years ago, but right now, there are many who are participating in these airdrops and the more that are participating, the lower the potential rewards that you can get. Nowadays, if you want to earn more tokens, you need to either deposit some money (liquidity pool), do some social tasks, or buy some NFT that's related to the project.

Overall, I will not say that ALL of the airdrops aren't worth this year, but most of them are. If I will give a number, maybe around 95%.

Gambling discussion / Re: [NBA] Unofficial Discussion Thread
« on: April 29, 2025, 10:53:20 AM »
I haven't a bet yet, but I might go with the Warriors again -2.5 and Cavs -7.5.

I would say I like the Warriors -2.5 today, with the announcement of Jimmy Butler returning, Rockets in my opinion would struggle a lot today, their best chance was in game 3 which they started well but could not get the win.

Got mine at Warriors -4.5 @1.98, money must be pouring out for the Warriors maybe because of that news that Butler might play tonight. I just like the Warriors because of their experience and yeah, Rockets best chance of stealing a game on the Warriors' homecourt was in game 3 but they blew up that one.
The Warriors won, but it didn't cover your spread unfortunately.

What happened in Game 3 didn't happen in Game 4. Butler played and led his team with a team-high 27 points, but Curry on the other hand scored only 17 points. Maybe the fatigue is affecting him because he played more than 40+ minutes in Game 3 which just for context is the first time he played for more than 40 minutes this season and playoff as well.

It was a close one all throughout the game. One team will lead double digits then all of a sudden, that lead will vanish. 4th quarter was a close quarter, and it can be anybody's game from that point. It's just that, experience really is a big factor when it comes to playoffs and we've seen it with the Warriors. The Rockets as a franchise only has a 2-11 record when they're down 3-1 in a playoff series so that said, they have a low chance of winning this series already.

This has happened to a lot of us, you get some money and then you start buying things that you do not even need. It could be a car, when you work remotely and you find out you haven't driven it for weeks, or an expensive watch, when you have enough wristwatches, etc. What is that thing you bought when you got a good amount of money, only for you to later find out that you actually didn't need the item.
Hmmm. TBH, as I read this post, I'm thinking of things that I bought that I didn't really need, but I can hardly think of one.

I have a watch though that I bought for around 20$ more or less only, and I'm not using it for a while now, but that's helpful if I'm doing some exercise or jogging at least. Unfortunately, that isn't the case now. Whenever I buy something, I think twice or thrice first if I need it or I just want it for most of the time. I mean my priority for most of the time is to invest that money into different assets than buying something that's depreciating over time.

Well, if I will be thinking of something. I guess it's Pokemon Cards since I don't have any luck of pulling an expensive one that I feel that I'm losing money hence, I don't need it. :D

I’d like to know what you think of the gamefi narrative currently.

I've said it many times, but most web3 game, defi game, gamefi and similar stuff focused too much on making money and promoting it's token/coin. Most of them appear to forget that people usually expect game to be fun or entertaining.
Well, it started with Axie Infinity, and it will continue as most players are only playing these games for money.
Axie Infinity, Pixels, Pegaxy, The Sandbox, Decentraland, and other more games. I mean most of these token's prices are down still because... nobody cares or holds the token.

Games in general are being created for us to be entertained and interact with other gamers. Yes, I played Axie as well in the past and made some bucks, but still, I always wanted to play MMORPG games that's outside of Web3 because that's what I love to play, and the reason I'm playing is to have fun, and I can't feel any fun playing these Web3 games because they're heavily focused on money-making.

Yes, the coolest BTC chart again hahaha
We're almost at the end of April and it looks like it will finally be in the green, with a good 14% rise so far
---
What do you think?
Can BTC close in on 100k or does it still need more time?
Will we have the old phrase “sell in may and walk away” again next month?
I didn't expect that we will be ending the month of April in a green candle because I expected that this month will be a red candle as well. What happened last week really is the main reason why we are ending the month with a green candle, and many are happy with what's happening right now.

I wonder where are those people who are saying that we are entering the bear market a few months ago. Maybe they're just saying it, but behind it, they're accumulating as well because they don't mean what they're saying. BTC on $100,000 this month? I don't think so, but we might see it happen in a few weeks or who knows. It might happen next week already. I mean many didn't expect that Bitcoin will pump to $100,000 suddenly a few months ago, and it might happen again. I expect a huge resistance at that price though.

Now for the next month, I expect it to be bullish as well like in April.

Now, this Loopscale hackers became lenient, and they decided to return the stolen funds for a bounty.
Just want to be curious, does this Loopscale hackers trying to be lenient or they just want to proof that they are experts in hacking? your thoughts

Read here: https://cointelegraph.com/news/loopscale-hacker-agrees-return-stolen-crypto-bounty

I am just wondering because we hardly hear of hackers returning their stolen funds this days.
I also saw this news, and I'm also participating in their current airdrop as well. Fortunately, my money is still there.

Maybe they're some type of "white hat hackers" who are just hacking platforms to show how weak and vulnerable their current system is. Like you, I rarely hear hackers returning the money that they hacked in exchange for some bounty, but it's a different one this time, and TBH, I consider them lucky because the ones that hacked their platform is somebody that isn't greedy at all.

Maybe they're trying to prove to these platform owners that they can do it and will ask them to hire them to strengthen their security, or they're just doing it for fun.

How it affected your life and decisions, and how you navigate around it please share your experience and advice on how u got through it?
Take risks.

We know that in life, there will always be risks. As for me, I will connect it with investing because I took the risk a few years ago to invest into cryptocurrency. I might not have the best life for myself, but I'm living way better than what I expected to be way back then. If not only for cryptocurrency, I might be working as an employee right now and working for 8 hours. If I didn't took the risk, I might be spending most of my entire life working and has a minimum wage. Taking risks in my life is what put me in a life that I am right now.

Always take risks. Yes, there's harm in taking risks sometimes, but in every mistakes that you will be facing, there will be learnings.

Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you refill your gambling budget
« on: April 27, 2025, 05:04:37 PM »
When do you refill your budget?
---
Whenever I feel that I want to gamble then I will deposit some funds. How much? Depends on how I feel as well. :D No specific amount, and no specific time to refill. Talking about being a casual gambler, eh? :D

Anyway, we're almost the same. I'm gambling when I feel to, but most of the time, I only gamble whenever I see sports that I love to watch that's for me entertaining. Examples are the NBA playoffs, our league's playoffs, the MMA, boxing events, and sometimes even Darts games. Like most of us here, nobody looks at gambling as some source of income as well. I only see gambling as a way to be entertained while watching games (since I'm mostly on sports games), and I'm okay if I lose my money. If you're a pro poker player then it might be a different situation.

Dogecoin Forum / Re: How long to you plan to hodl your DOGE coin?
« on: April 27, 2025, 04:53:50 PM »
       -       I would definitely prefer to save DOGE now until this bull season ends, and when this bull run ends I will still save again until the next bull run and I think it will be like 2028, during these times I will attempt to sell doge, depending on how much Doge I have saved when the right year or time comes.

I prefer to save it than other crypto assets, although there are many more that also have potential, besides this, I am also gradually accumulating crypto assets.
Well, that's what you called "dedication". I hope that you will achieve what you want to achieve when it comes to stacking some DOGE. At the end of the day, DOGE will remain as the top meme coin, and will stay at the top in terms of market cap.

As for me, I'm already listing the coins that I will be buying for the bear run potentially next year, and DOGE is one of them. I mean I said it in the past, but if I will hold a meme coin, it will only be DOGE, and only DOGE. However, I don't want to hold them only for 1 market cycle only - same as you. Aside from DOGE, I wonder what are the other altcoins that are good to hold.  ::) ::) ::)

Bitcoin price is $93,890 and it's hard to predict with certainty whether it will go Below $90 before tomorrow due to the fluctuating price of Bitcoin. What your thought on this.
Yes, there's still a chance that it might go below $90,000 before it goes up yet again.

After the sudden pump on the market, we know for sure that a correction is needed. I did put a simple Fib Retracement and I also looked at the 21 Weekly Moving Average which can be a long-term dynamic support/resistance, and it shows that the possible correction prices is at around the $88,200-$88,700. For sure, there's a chance that this might not be reached because $90,000 will act as a psychological support as well.

The week is ending on a green candle on a weekly chart, and it's below 21 Weekly Moving Average. What we need now is to sustain it's price to be above that like so we can say that the bulls are now in control.
