Btw anyone knows how a bot kinda spin thingy works very well ?
what do you mean? what kind of bot are you looking for?

I'm not sure what kind of bot he asked. But if you searched about it on Google Search, with keyword such as "bot claim airdrop task", you'll find lots of bot that claim to automate claim and doing certain tasks. It appears to be real since there are news that report team behind airdrop take action against it, where sometimes it harm non-cheater. For example,

Crypto Wallets / Re: Satochip Hardware wallet on smart card (USB/NFC)
« on: April 30, 2025, 11:03:02 AM »
Satochip just released their new product called Seedkeeper Ring.
I expected to see something different, but they basically decided to create a password manager based on NFC technology.
Price for this device is €60, and it can be used for storing mnemonic seed, but not for making transactions.

I'm not sure how secure it is. But i expect they'll have tough time competing against device such as YubiKey and OnlyKey that have been around for much longer with comparable price.

In addition, the DOJ is actually just seeking 20 years for Alex Mashinsky which is to me lighter but maybe this can be the maximum time allowed by the current law.

It's not surprising when SBF himself only got 25 years, even though FTX case sparked bigger discussion than Celcius. But as that news stated, 20 years feels longer for Alex who's already in his 60s. By time he got out of prison (even with some prison time reduction), it's unlikely he's still fit enough to conduct another major crime.

I also don't believe a judge could impose a life sentence for such a case. Financial fraud cases still carry a lighter penalty than murder, terrorism, or other crimes that warrant a life sentence.

In any case, I'm not an expert on American law, and I hope the judge imposes the maximum sentence on Alex Mashinsky, the founder of the Celsius Network, because he has caused significant harm to many people who have lost their money. I hope legislation is passed to increase the penalties in such cases to serve as a deterrent to these fraudsters who populate the crypto space.

I agree. The victim mentioned Bernie Madoff as example who received 150 years jail time. But  he's called biggest ponzi schemer in US, while AFAIK Celcius isn't biggest case on cryptocurrency world.

I am just wondering because we hardly hear of hackers returning their stolen funds this days.

Yeah, it's definitely unusual move. But i would speculate it's partly because difficulty of spending or laundering coin they stole effectively.

Celsius Crypto Victims Demand Life Sentence for Alex Mashinsky, Saying He 'Devastated Lives'
Creditors of defunct crypto lender Celsius argued ahead of his upcoming sentencing that founder Alex Mashinsky "devastated lives."

Celsius Network founder Alex Mashinsky’s customers want him behind bars for life.

More than 200 victim impact statements, many reviewed by Decrypt, have been submitted to U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl ahead of Mashinsky’s May 8 sentencing, with the overwhelming majority demanding the severest possible punishment for the mastermind behind the failed crypto lender.

“He devastated numerous lives, and there are those who have taken their own lives because of him,” wrote Brandon Lawrence, an investor who says he lost 1.5 Bitcoin (about $141,000 today). “He should face consequences akin to Bernie Madoff and be incarcerated for life.”... Read more here.

As reminder, Celcius was company that offered high yield/APR for deposited coin and filled for bankrupt back in 2022. It's not surprising they make such demand, but IMO it's unlikely to happen when SBF only received 25 years jail time. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What if the airdrop is gone forever?
« on: April 28, 2025, 10:41:41 AM »
Considering today's airdrop condition, i would argue there are more pros than the cons. These days most people would sell airdropped coin/token as soon as possible. It would cause price of the coin/token going down after launch, which seen negatively by some people. Most airdrop also allocate fixed amount of coin/token as airdrop reward regardless of total participant, so we won't see people got disappointed after wasting their energy, time and money (for certain airdrop tasks).

I'm a bit out of date, but aside from firmware updates, has Trezor added new tokens/networks that were previously unsupported until recently?

Their supported coins & token page[1] doesn't mention when certain coin got supported. Even if you read firmware changelog[2] manually, it doesn't seem to list all supported/no longer supported coin & network.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: 'Word blocked to prevent spam'
« on: April 27, 2025, 10:34:08 AM »
I don't know what you count as spam. But if you perform search on "Incentivised Posting / Shill" with keyword "bitget", there are 127 result.

On related note, today i encountered user who shill exchanged called "bingx" using similar method with "bitget" shill.  I just perform search on "Incentivised Posting / Shill" with keyword "bingx" with 76 result. Maybe it's time to take action against those shill as well. Here few recent shill example i found.

Link: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=329888.0
Reason: Thread is about exchange lifespan. While it mentioned few exchange, it also talks about bingx 7th year event.

Link: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=329539.0
Reason: Thread title is about lack of innovation on exchange. But the thread itself talk about his experience with bingx while also mentioning it's on 7th year.

If you have 5 or more BTC, would you continue to store it on such a device? Or would you rather invest in a more up-to-date model to safeguard most of your BTC?

There's also option to keep BTC on Trezor One, but with proper and secure backup. So if Trezor One suddenly broke or  no longer receive security update, the owner can switch to newer and better hardware wallet.

Do you think this Trezor model is already obsolete (or could become obsolete at any time, just by an announcement from Trezor itself), since several models have been released since this one?

Trezor (the company) still sell Trezor One today, so i doubt it'll be obsolete anytime soon. But people better get newer type, especially when they hold lots of coin and token.

As investment, ETH certainly stuck in awkward place. For long term, people still BTC as more reliable option. Meanwhile, new token and altcoin becoming more common choice for short (and risky) term. And since these days many people don't care about decentalization, there are many altcoin with smart contract that offer lower TX fee and faster TX confirmation. So i wouldn't say it's a mistake to dump your ETH.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Satoshi lives
« on: April 26, 2025, 12:35:03 PM »
Personally, I've grown accustomed to denying any news related to Satoshi, whether about his true identity or the movement and transfer of the contents of Satoshi's wallets. Satoshi has a clear goal, and I don't believe he'll ever reveal his identity or move his wallet after all these years.

Yeah. I would go as far as assume news claiming that person X claim as Satoshi, Satoshi comes back and do X or Satoshi comes back and make claim X are fake by default. I hope most people have similar approach these days, especially after whole CSW issue that led COPA (group filled by many big tech/crypto) to sue him.

While many may applaud this development, there will also be others who may object and who might think that this is not necessary and even be an anathema to cryptocurrency...what is your stand?

FWIW, it comes down whether bank in US willing to allow or support cryptocurrency-related transaction. For bank that threaten to close it's customer bank account due to cryptocurrency related TX, i expect only some of them will change their stance.
