Binance seems to be capitalizing on userbases some tokens/coins have than looking at the quality of coin.

Examples: DOGS, HAMSTER, CATIZEN, BABYDOGE, TURBO, NEIRO

Do you think Binance's listing quality has went down OR are you fine with these listings?

From an investor's perspective, they'll likely be satisfied as long as it keeps pumping after listing. That said, listing too many memecoins isn't great unless there's sustained hype around them for days.

Based on my observation, many users here on Altcointalks aren't interested in memecoins, cos it's risky as if you burning your money.

Anyways, I assume they know what they're doing. I do kind of wish CZ was still running things, he'd bring some fun energy to Binance and probably keep things steady.

General Discussion / Re: is racism still an issue?
« on: November 25, 2024, 06:30:13 AM »
Racism is still present in parts of society. For example, some people mock Asian accents or appearances in a way that's clearly disrespectful.

But the only way is to raising awareness and educating people to fight against this kind of behavior.

Meme Coins / Re: MEMEFI....
« on: November 19, 2024, 02:02:08 PM »
Well, it's a kind of surprising to me that no one here is talking about Memefi yet, for like two or three weeks now, I've been expecting to see Memefi threads popping up here and there since it's just a few days remaining for the game to come to an end (9th October) and listing follows, but amazingly, no one has brought up a discussion about it, and this makes me wonder if actually, anyone here is playing the game.

For those that might not know, Memefi is one of the top tap to earn games on telegram, one that I personally find very promising like Notcoin and Dogs, the game is ending in 4 days time from today, and according to the team, listings will follow immediately.

I am eager to know what your expectations are concerning Memefi, do you think it will cook like Notcoin and Dogs did? Or will it Hamster their community?

I don't know why, but I got bad feeling about this.. Memefi has been going circle for decades lol... And did you see that they are asking fees for claiming? When users can literally deposit it to exchanges for zero gas fee? They didn't do any thing on that. What is project without benefits for users?

Meme Coins / DeSci-based meme projects going crazy?
« on: November 19, 2024, 12:11:30 PM »
Not sure if you guys noticed but I have seen that a few projects are going nuts, with the concept of DeSci.

If you probably noticed on X, CZ actually posted about this, where he was at a small gathering of DeSci entrepreneurs organized by Binance Labs. So that is not coincidence but the developers are going with names like Rifampicin that have scientific behind it and then running it as memecoin..

Do you guys think this is the new wave of memecoins?

Since the market has turned all over green and I can't wonder, how many of us here are just watching the charts and regretting that you didn't get to invest at least $1k?

I'm sure cos memecoins are not going lowest here, but recently elon musk shilled PNUT and in which case, gave many holders decent profit. But do y'all also know DOGE is now also called Department of Government Efficiency? He's now to co lead it! And seeing the price going from 0.09$ to 0.4$, it was unexpected but still a great return for those who hold it until now.

I'm not going to lie but It's just a missed opportunity for me out of all lol. and I also remember some OG memecoins, like PEPE, They have risen from 0.000013 to 0.000021 currently.. I know I can't FOMO now haha. but lesson learned, and will try to grind as much as i can next time.. So what did you guys do in this market with memecoins?

France May Ban Crypto Betting Platform Polymarket

France’s gambling regulator, the Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), is reportedly set to ban Polymarket, a crypto-based betting platform, from operating within the country.

According to a report by The Big Whale, the decision comes after the platform attracted attention when a French user placed large bets on the U.S. presidential election... Read more here.

It's not surprising, considering France already have strict gambling law. Although it's weird it doesn't happen sooner since Polymarket name already reached mainstream media since last year. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Might as well ban the crypto market if they can’t stand seeing people succeed and make a profit. France has been tough already... and since Durov’s arrest, it caused TON’s price to drop so low that I’ve ended up losing some of the gains I invested in.

Hopefully everything will go back as it was before.

Crypto Exchanges / Re: BingX hacked, $43 million stolen
« on: November 08, 2024, 04:47:46 PM »
The transparency and communication exhibited by the exchange during this incident sets a positive example for other exchanges to follow. However, the exchange focus on transparency and user security during this challenging time demonstrates their commitment to maintaining trust within the crypto community.

CEX should also focus on improving their security, not just publishing transparency reports. You know what I mean.. Also, Dex is always better as they say. ButI use both CEX and DEX.. CEX should be only for trading and profiting quickly to cash out that's it.

Nowadays, developers focus on delivering airdrops with gamefi, and this includes most popular TON projects like NOT, DOGS and more etc. But I have been thinking about it, what about next? I believe keeping your game going should be the next step, as this requires ads, partnership with other projects etc and that brings revenue for the team and to give gamers their rewards. Like if you’ve heard of CROS, they’re working on this by integrating ads seamlessly into gameplay and forming partnerships that benefit both developers and gamers. This kind of approach should help create a more sustainable ecosystem in GameFi

And without that, it feels like we’re just cycling through the same hype loops, with no real structure for long-term growth.

So actually I'm seeing none of it these days, or at least there's a few, not really committed. I believe developers know the answer best. You guys think there is any hope for where gamefi is heading to?

DeFi tokens / Do you think Zero-Knowledge Proofs Matter?
« on: October 18, 2024, 05:25:00 PM »
So basically what I read that zero-knowledge proofs are revolutionizing blockchain privacy and security. They allow transactions to be verified without revealing any sensitive data, offering users a new level of confidentiality. This technology is key to scaling blockchains while keeping your information safe. They say, ZKPs will be essential for building trust and protecting user privacy. If you guys look at Scroll, for example, they're bringing solutions using innovations in scaling design and zero-knowledge proofs to build a new layer on Ethereum, offering high scalability and security.

But I wanna hear from you guys, what excites you most about zero-knowledge proofs? I know some other projects must be using this technology effectively to ensure privacy.

Other Popular Cryptos / Coins / Re: Is Grass TGE near!?
« on: October 18, 2024, 09:59:55 AM »
Do you think the launch of Grass is approaching? Some users have been farming Grass for a while now, and a couple of weeks ago, they distributed the airdrop allocation. However, many weren’t too excited about it because of the ratio. But according to their Twitter account, they currently have over 2.5 million daily users, which suggests significant growth. There are also rumors that the TGE could happen soon, as it’s already available in pre-market. Have you looked into this? What are your thoughts on the project and the TGE projections?

Haha finally seeing some posts on this. I am a miner myself since I installed their extension to mine points as much as I can. i nearly earned up to 200k+. I dont have referrals or else I would be left with 2M or so on.

Grass is already preparing up to launch. we are in stage 1, and since exchanges are announcing pre market for it , we can anticipate that Tge is coming. although at first I thought it's too much as epoch has been going one by one but this time they eventually stopped and started to provide bonus epoch now as they step near the launch.

But one thing tho, i got disappointed with allocation as i expected to be higher. but that's how it is nowadays with airdrop..

SO... let's see how they go with the launch.

Stable Coins Forum / Re: Is Tether a Fraud?
« on: October 13, 2024, 05:46:25 PM »
I've read a lot of comments here about USDT being a fraud, and this worries me a lot because I have some USDT stablecoins that I hold dearly. And I mostly use them for trading new and old coins/tokens.  :-\

My question is: is this really going to be that bad for Tether? Some of my friends said not to hold anything in stablecoins, but where else am I supposed to make my tokens into stablecoins?

One of my friends suggested that USDC is a better option due to its regulatory compliance and transparency, while USDT is just more popular.

Other Popular Cryptos / Coins / Are ordinals still a thing?
« on: October 09, 2024, 12:39:58 PM »
I remember that there was massive hype on meme coins in BRC20 projects, like ORDI and more, but I also just realized they are not really showing up anymore on my timeline since it's been months. So what's the current state of Ordinals now?

if some of you don't know what Ordinals is, it's basically designed to inscribe data onto individual satoshis, you can add things like images, text or even audio files directly to the bitcoin blockchain. Pretty cool technology imo, but I saw some guys really hated the concept, is this because it's spamming the network? I believe anything new is a good addition to crypto space.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you read Whitepapers carefully??
« on: October 09, 2024, 08:46:10 AM »

What are the points you look for in the whitepaper that are most important??? And if a project is running without a published whitepaper, will you invest in the related coin??
Well I always check, what's the project for? why they created project if there is a similar project? so there must be some creative solutions from them etc.

But you know what? nowadays I'm seeing people don't even read WP, cos they are just investing based on popularity and hype. Take example of TON projects haha ;D ;D

Blockchain Technology / What do you think of GPU Renting?
« on: August 09, 2024, 04:35:09 PM »
So it's not uncommon to see GPU being used, from Gaming, Mining to Running AI models, and more.. Since this is how GPU is widely used by companies, crypto projects.

So I saw that in an article, normal individuals can contribute their unused GPU resources by renting it out to earn in crypto. I believe there are millions of GPUs that have unused resources and users can rent it out to others so that they can use it to train and run AI models. I heard some people discussing that, it kinda seems better than mining, cos you earn more tokens while you contribute to that specific project.. So guys, you think GPU renting is better than mining? I know it's essential for keeping blockchains running  ;D. but I believe 20% of people can use it to profit from their GPU.

Coinbase Staff Impersonator Siphons $1.7M from User’s Wallet

An impersonator has been parading itself as a top staff from cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ: COIN). This past week, about three Coinbase users and one crypto user reported the incident, claiming to have received a call from this Coinbase-impersonating scammer. Unfortunately, one of them fell for the trick and allegedly lost $1.7 million in digital assets to the scammer... Read more here.

For now, there's no concentrate information how the impersonator know victim contact data. Although it's a shame since the victim could've notice it's scam due to weird-looking domain which mentioned on the tweet. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

How can one not see so many red flags from this? It's really saddening to see.

Saw these basic things that are red flags already
Site looks fake
Call from coinbase? (that's a new thing from scammer)
and it's a self custody wallet lol..
