Nigerian Languages / Re: Online trading dey cause mental issues!
« on: November 03, 2024, 06:37:09 PM »
so those of Una make still dey think shey trading get rich quick scheme, nothing like that e dey take time and principles to be a successful trader.
Trading is not a Ponzi scheme where you put money and expect to get double profit without any effort from your on end it's beyond that as successful traders have passed through different stages of training and put in hard work which has been consistent over the years. For anyone to engage in trading in this crypto space then that person should first of all get himself prepared mentally as many who has gone into crypto trading has experience loses due to the fact that they where not equipped enough for the business of trading
In my opinion, Trading does not involve earning cash within the shortest time possible and with no working hard, but it involves a lot of everything. Some of us find ourselves hoping and dreaming big but do not realize that it comes with huge effort.

It would be unreasonable to disregard the psychological factor; if, of course, we are serious in our manipulation of cryptocurrencies. Many people invest here without adequate information and all they are left with is loses. Sophistication of the risks and problems inherent in trading actually serves to prevent people from developing unrealistic expectations of making fast profits and helps to develop an objective attitude.
Well, There is more to trading than as a get rich quick scheme, it is a highly specialized undertaking that requires constant input and knowledge of the dangers involved in the process. If we start investing in the market without early research and systematic thinking, the outcome can hardly be meet. If we understand what it takes to be a trader, avoiding setting our expectations too high, we will have the factor needed to make it in trading despite the many changes in the market.

Nigerian Languages / Re: is there need to get disturbed over karma?
« on: November 03, 2024, 06:07:52 PM »
Well, Karma seems to not have much influence on your profile currently, but it’s important that we use this time to start posting good content. Imagine that in the future, the forum becomes increasingly popular, and more people are attracted to it and the rules of the ranking, karma participating in the ranking may appear. Which is why it is advisable to accumulate as much karma as possible now for use in the future.
Karma might not be big at the moment, but it’s time for us to start posting quality content here. With the increase of the number of people who focus on the forum in the future, the present investment will provide greater returns. Building up karma now can also be beneficial to securing better positions in the future because each point that we gather here allows us to have a higher position in the society. This has the implication that if we continue to contribute in a positive way possible, then we can put ourselves in good stead to expand thus becoming a more worthwhile part of this forum’s evolution.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Will bitcoin reach 100million naira?
« on: November 03, 2024, 06:00:27 PM »
Life they say - works in mysterious ways(abi no be so they talk am?). In less than a year, a question that was asked have become reality. I think earlier this year, if i'm not mistaken, bitcoin was somewhere around $40K. The thing is bitcoin will continue to appreciate, but unfortunately, the naira isn't. We will definitely see 200Million, but we can only hope that our currency doesn't end up like Venezuelas'
We are in a middle of very significant changes globally in financial sphere where such assets a Bitcoin are having high growth rates while our local currencies are struggling. We seem to have forgotten the lessons this the global economy is likely to bring and the basic fundamentals which need to be put in place to safeguard our economic base. As is the case with many other things in life, we can all be more hopeful about addressing these challenges especially given enhanced understanding of the relevance of digital assets as well as all efforts to stay financially secure. As a team, it means that everything can be solved to let the economy become strong and let everyone of us have a better future.

Off topic & Sports / Re: Misconduct in Nigeria
« on: November 03, 2024, 04:48:52 PM »
There should be strict enforcement of anti corruption laws. Additional business should do well as to encourage ethical behavior, educational institution should also promote ethics and integrity. Are there other way to address misconduct in Nigeria?
Many rules are usually made in the country; the problem always lies with enforcement because officials in charge of enforcements of these laws are always corrupt. Misconduct in Nigeria will begin to stop when people begin to see that our leaders, who are in charge of leadership in any position they find themselves in, are upright and leading the way they should. Our leaders do not set good examples for us; this is why it has been difficult for them to preach ethical behaviour to us.
When there are transformations, it is only reasonable to expect that the change will be led by great leadership and integrity. This means that when our leaders determine to be honorable and practice the principles of integrity, they encourage corporate and appropriate behavior. It is far easier to develop a corporate culture that is law abiding if the leadership is honest, has integrity and is operating in the best interest of everyone as opposed to just the company. By this partnership social justice may very soon be as we all wish to see it, a future where we all are able to tangibly feel the difference.

Nigerian Languages / Re: How we go take avoid crypto scammers??
« on: November 03, 2024, 04:34:41 PM »
I greet you all my fellow Naija people.
As we all know crypto industry no dey save again, scammers just full everywhere in the crypto industry.
Scammers no wan allow us rest na wetin dey worry me I sey make I con discuss am with my bosses here make una advise give us how we go take prevent ourself from this scammers in crypto.
  With the advance of technology which has made crypto currencies popular in the world  as many are going into it and is doing well in it so also is scammers infact I can say that with the level of scammers have increased more with the arrival of crypto currencies,the internet today is full of scammers using the name of crypto trading many has fallen victim of such scammers but one of the ways that can be used to stop scammers is having a good knowledge base of the crypto space that it's not a Ponzi scheme where you double your money
Establishing constant knowledge of the crypto world is one step to prevent fraudsters from taking advantage of us. Hence, the question arises: it may be understanding all these mechanisms and risks which we face in investing, thus we learn to make wiser and safer decision when investing. Furthermore, purely informing consumers about the existing risks associated with questionable frauds can contribute to building a proper and safe climate necessary for successful functioning of the cryptopan. So, the meme remains the same: let the world receive only the right information and contribute to its growth and prosperity, as well as crystal clear bitcoin profits for all members of this community.

You don’t want to give a chance to those, whose rank is appropriate to join this campaign?

It is possible that low ranks also want to join but if their dreams are taken away by a higher rank then it is unfair this will make them desperate.

I can do that too, but it is NOT my style and it is very Disgusting.
Be wise.

In my country, it is illegal to use Bitcoin as a currency. We only can use Bitcoin as investment. So, it is impossible to use Bitcoin as a currency in real life here. Bitcoin is illegal to pay for services or goods. Here, the only legal currency is Rupiah, it is our currency. We are even unable to use dollars for paying anything. There should be a change in our laws to enable using Bitcoin as a currency. It looks like to not happen in the near future.
That is why the many countries already impose strict regulations on this currency which in fact decreases its use as a currency but the potential of this technology is really massive, which may be useful for the society. As of now, the only valid usage of Bitcoin is in the investment field, and for foreign exchange too, the rules are still rather stringent. This must be so for such a financial innovation to be experienced as a problem, particularly for those who wish to observe it grow in ordinary existence. Despite the fact, that it may seem that the regulation changes are quite remote, there is always the prospect that over time the realization of its benefits for increasing the number of people will gradually grow. Alone, we can only hope for the day when this is develop into a feed that people will notice and provide space in an attempt to improve the economy of society.

Nigerian Languages / Re: I heard a rumour about Binance in Nigeria
« on: October 25, 2024, 04:41:53 PM »
Looking at the situation of things, technology keeps and will keep getting better by the day and government will keep changing and as things stands one of the marketing leads in from Binance has told some folks in Nigeria(no publicly) that Binance will still come back to Nigeria but not now and he can't tell when, but Binance will surely come back to Nigeria again.

Whether they come back or not, binance will always remain and the same way the country will be, it is the users who should learn how any of their both decision will not affect them negatively in such a way that they run at loss for using an exchange or for being affected over government regulations, lastly, we should have it in mind that not your keys not your coins is real.
It is true that at some point in the future, we the users require to be more prepared so as to be least impacted by the change in regulations or policies of any of the platforms. To depend on only one exchange or just to follow the flow of policies without an alternative plan can be dangerous. As I mentioned before, the phrase “not your keys, not your coins” is a word for us to be more careful in keeping something and thinking about the safest methods for us all the time. This makes us to be more sympathetic and autonomous in handling changes in the digital financial industry.

If gets enough support that will be required then just maybe he would win on this one. The Nigerian government are one tricky bodies who will go to any extent to make sure they come out victorious. They find many ways to frustrate be mass fo their or about and don't even try to look at the brighter picture. Cryptocurrency would help in one way boost the economy. We barley have jobs to cover up for the graduates out their. Those who have found their way are being restricted by government to manage their life's in any possible means. Though they didn't ban cryptocurrency but look at it from the other side, they are fighting against the means for converting  these cryptocurrency into naira. To me it's just the same thing.
Well, this conditions are tough regardless of the many hindrances that make opportunities harder to come by. Governments that do not fully allow use of crypto come up with new problems, especially for those who use the technology as an extra source of income given the lack of employment opportunities. When economic through crypto lens is negatively affected, our dreams of development also appear to be cut short.  With more support, I believe in the future, more positive changes will occur to promote our economic freedom.

Nigerian Languages / Re: Wattin dey dup for our local board?
« on: October 25, 2024, 04:21:18 PM »
~~~
I just noticed that you haven’t made request for your account to be teleported from Bitcointalk to this forum. I’d advise that you make a request and get the admin to move your rank to this forum.
This is your account, right? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=901661
Well, that may be irrelevant for now. It appears that I could start a new one again and I think it appears that it is still easy to rank up, I like to rank up organically to get to know the people in this forum and BTT is fairly unique.
It’s not irrelevant if you have an account in Bitcointalk that’s already ranked up - if you don’t then it might be irrelevant.
In as much as you love to grow your account organically it’s till doesn’t take away the fact that teleporting your account is not a bad idea and you can still contribute to the forum and gain karma while you already have a high ranking account.
If I may ask what’s the essence of trying to grow a new account when you already have a means to teleport your rank?
Agreed with your opinion of the conclusion that you made, very good conclusion. Yes, it really help to have a high ranking on Bitcointalk as it offers easy access to more exposure on the forums and to be able to directly control the types of topics that are being discussed. But, it is too instant, and not fun for me. Regarding karma, I also understand that there is no exact number here of how many times I want to give karma but I don’t misuse it. We also have to get to Sr Member level to get that function however without all the control. Thus this is the effort that has to be transmitted in this forum.
Bitcoin investment no be for people wey never chop or wey no get work because if you buy bitcoin, you need to hodli am a very long time before you go see profits. Bitcoin investment na for people wey get source of income and from their income them still get extra to save for bank so that them go fit use am do better thing for future. Instead of keeping the money for bank na to use am buy bitcoin to save your money from depreciation and profit in the long run. Bitcoin no be get rich quick scheme na investment for the future.
In addition to wetin you don talk, bitcoin no be scheme to comot people from hunger and starvation, that one na work of the government. Bitcoin just dey to help you in your financial situation but e no mean say na pathway to wealth be that. Like you say, na person wey don chop belle full na him dey fit enjoy this investment base on say the investment they take time and go require you to dey patient. Bitcoin na investable assets, but na for people wey get some money to spare, for people wey dey patient to wait for the time to take take their profits and enjoy the investment wey they don do earlier for the currency.
That’s right, bitcoin is not a genie to solve social and economic issues that should be handled by governments for instance solve hunger or economic inequality. In the same way that shares allows more endowed investors to make money from their positions of investments through stock exchange fluctuations, bitcoin affords any one an opportunity to invest their more to make a fortune in the long run with a wait and see attitude. Due to its high risk, bitcoin should only be purchased for individuals who are willing to hold it for a long term and not as a get quick riches method. Realizing that bitcoin requires time and endurance is something that will come to anyone’s mind who wishes to invest into it, knowing that profits can be made, but not at the flip of a button.
Wow, this is good to know.it is good to see voices like Dr. Obiageli represent our country at such a significant , prestigious event like the Asia Blockchain Summit ooo.Her presence there validates the growing influence and contribution of all Africans in the global blockchain space.As for Bitget, it will definitely be worth it keeping an eye on their announcements, especially given the challenges with exchanges like OKX and Binance in Nigeria.i'll be following the summit closely though to see what insights emerge.
In fact, it is heartwarming to have a personality such as Dr. Obiageli participating at such a global stage, as is the Asia Blockchain Summit. That he was present there makes clear just how valuable the role and input that Africa and Nigeria specifically bring to the global development of blockchain. This is about not just technology, but also opportunity – the opportunity to foster new international partnerships. Moreover, it is still fascinating to observe their announcement regarding it, especially given the recent situations with some of the large-scale platforms, such as OKEx and Binance, in Nigeria. There is always something new that can be explored and gaining such exposures can help to understand how the blockchain ecosystem can still grow within the restrictive nature of regulation.
Nigerian Languages / Re: is there need to get disturbed over karma?
« on: October 25, 2024, 01:41:47 PM »
Well, you are right, and personally, I love the way the karma system is designed on this forum, where users are not able to tell where they got, or who they got karma from, this is am immune drugs to Karma monopolization, just like what we see on bitcointalk where there is always a group of friends that always merit each others post, specially the merit sources themselves.
But here, such monopoly wont work because you just have to give someone a positive Karma as long as you like the person's post, And you don't have to expect a karma in return since the user won't even know you gave him or her a karma, and this also works the same with negative Karma as well
the karma system is very well design to suit alot of things such as privacy and freedom, the privacy part is the fact that karma is not displayed to be seen as from who give you those karmas, which make the system highly effective and no possible act of grievances among forum members as for who is the favorite and who is a friend.
The freedom part is that the karma system gives all forum members from the rank of senior member to legendary to be able to react on posts both in the negative and the positive karma directions.
As mentioned above, karma system that avoids priavcy and freedom is very helpful to contribute health and comfortable forum condition. This way, the karma giver can remain anonymous and users can practice honest appreciation and or critique without upsetting or offending other users. This kind of freedom gives us a chance to judge every contribution fairly, without the pressure of rank-and-file hierarchy, or partiality, to ensure that all the students work as a team. Lastly, this karma system contributes towards bringing up a society of mutually honourable and decent individuals who, despite the differences in their interaction experiences, get comfortable while expressing themselves consequently getting acceptance because of their individual liberty.
Nigerian Languages / Re: When Binance returns, will you return back?
« on: October 25, 2024, 01:25:54 PM »
Some sanctions and policies do not always stay the same for long, they can change while a government is still in power, or when they pass power on to a new government. I think that Binance will be back to Nigeria, and when they come back, how willing do you think Nigerians who are into cryptocurrency will be to return back to them for exchange services?
Binance as a top crypto exchange platform available to Nigerians haven’t lost its prestige even when the government policies is not allowing the exchange to thrive well in the country as the government have shown that they’re against anything cryptocurrency in the country. The depreciation of Naira at that time was blamed on binance and had to do some arrest of their officials at the time. Because of that, they stopped their p2p services on their platform for Nigerians but every other services is still available for Nigerians to interact with they platform. A new government that shows interest in crypto will definitely make citizens to get back on it even those that have not yet engaged in anything cryptocurrency before.
Indeed, many citizens of Nigeria still consider Binance as their primary source to participate in the crypto market while paying their attention to the regulation problems arisen. When the previous government aligned the Naira and cryptocurrency trading and put restrictions on the later, Binance, for instance, ceased offering P2P trading to Nigerian users but other services were available. This means that Binance is willing to adapt its business model to and with the regulations whilst not fully removing itself from the Nigerian market. If the new government reveals itself friendly to crypto then it would attract many long time users of the present platform and more people wishing to invest and trade in cryptocurrencies. Better policies can create even more prospects for Binance as well as make cryptocurrencies more accessible to the Nigerians.
We wey be newbies na karma be our encouragement for here anytime wey we see sey we make good contribution. when I join dis forum na dis our Naija board I dey always post and dey no dey encourage us with karma, because I believe sey most of my karma na for other boards I get am no be here.
We wey dey put effort to make dis our board active make dem encourage us.
Since we're you say the thing dey give you joy, i don press 1 for you and keep in mind that if you continue with you level of activness with regular activities, in no time you will also be able to rank up to senior member, and by then be able to award karma to any posts you find worthy of, you can do it just matter of time, once you determine you achieve it, hoping to see you being more actively involved in discussions that will make your account more visible for more rewards for
Cantsay you did well for bringing this list to the local board, but but I think it will be more appreciated if the list that is posted here in the local board only contain names of member from the Nigeria local board on the karma list instead of a full copy paste from the original general forum karma updates.
Well I don't I don't so much attach value this karma of a thing because I know that when people get here newly the pressure for a particular thing but after while they would be calm, just as the way we do put pressure on merits because someone would want to rank after seeing themselves very close to the next rank they don't mind pushing more harder to accumulate the required Karma or point before ranking to next level.
Getting karma will become much necessity to members when it’s been used as a system or tool for ranking up and getting to a particular rank, if not, people will not find it worthy even though it represents whether the user is a good or bad poster according to the what the positive and negative karma means. Like me, I have only received one notification of negative karma and most times the positive ones after I became more active than before. Given karma has never been an issue to me, I give more than I receive and I think it’s just a way of encouragement to enhance good post by users in the forum.
It should be noted that the karma system used as a tool to rank up does give even more motivation for the members of the platform to post something valuable. This way the karma turns into a sort of learning tool for each member so they can see when their post in particular is valued and when it is not. Whenever we spend a lot of time actively posting and replying, and consistently offering the best material possible, karma is really earned in the community. This sentiment holds particular truth for myself as well as many other members where karma is less about what can be gained, but it is about what we can offer. This builds a better environment, where people with good posts are encouraged and also, it encourages all of us to develop further, the posts that will in one way improve the overall value of the forum to every of us.
