if the price drops, i think its actually temporary due to some external factors, do go for it but look out for future market conditions and careful taking risks.

To be sincere bitcoin dropping to $500 would never be a temporary drop like we use to have when the market is taking corrections, bitcoin dropping to $500 simply means that there was a huge economical crisis that I don’t even think many investors will be able to get out of so accumulating at that point will only be for those that have big convictions on it.

Do you think Crypto firm wanted to Overthrow Banks? i think that the banking sector are behind some progress hindrances against crypto firms.

I will make my opinion base on bitcoin, cryptocurrency is never here to replace bitcoin but it is rather here to be an alternative to banks and fiat. Stablecoin are pegged with fiat currency so I don’t see the reason why it is said to come and replace it. Rather it is the banks that are scared of stablecoin replacing them and spreading this stereotype just because they know that if stablecoins get the adoption they deserve it will relegate the use of fiat or banks

Some telegram airdrops are more concerned about how much ton they can get from their community, than the project itself asking community to pay before claim is something else, after days of intense mining. What could be their reasons?

Most of these projects will tell you that they are actually doing that to reduce the Sybil which is a very big lie, majority of those projects that ask for Ton scam projects farming their users. If a project wants to eliminate or limit Sybil there are many tools to use to do that like using Proof of humanity, activeness of the connected wallet check and many more.

The only time a project should be asking for a coin is the gas fee for claiming which is not for the project but for the miners on the blockchain for gas fee.

Both are same to my knowledge.  One is the derivative of the other, so they are of the same importance.  The seedphrase is a user friendly format of the private keys. It will be difficult to write down and save long format of strings, numbers and alphabets, but with seedphrase everything is cool to handle.  The important of private keys come in during signatories.

In terms of difference yes both are the same and exactly as you have actually explained, but one key distinction that OP didn’t mention is; is the question about private key or master private key (Xpriv). The seed phrase in more important in terms of back than a private key be the seed phrase actually recovers all addresses and keys on that wallet while the private key which isn’t even user friendly recovers its one address on it. Only the master private key which encompasses every child key on that wallet can recover the entire address derived on the wallet.

The only place while a private key edges a seed phrase during recovery is when the wallet doesn’t supports such seed phrase as such it can be recovered by the private key

I have posted about this times without numbers that 2024 is the altseason. The way those coins pumped in 2024 indicates that it was the altseason. Do not expect much from altcoins even if bitcoin get to all-time high next in 2025.

I think now it will be really hard to see those kind of alt season we had seen before in the past bull run in this particular one, I am forced to believe this your opinion about the alt season already happened last year. Because base on trend if we actually look at the market now I think there is ji time left for it to happen, the alt season only happens after bitcoin has started pumping and stopped to pump and then the dominance shifts to alts like Ethereum but looking at this prolonged correction in the market this year I strongly doubt if there will be any time for such again

Yep. New Champions League, new challenges. Big change from the previous.
Every team plays 8 games. 2 opponents from each pot, home and away Against pot 1, pot 2, pot 3, and pot 4 teams.
This season's Champions League is gonna be a fire but no slot for Manchester United and Chelsea, they are not good enough for the Champions League
The Champions League is the creme de la creme of European football

I don’t want to sound like someone who doesn’t appreciate change but this new format of the champions league doesn’t just sit well with me, yes it means more teams and also more games but why can’t they leave the old format to make it understandable for everyone. Right now what I see here is just the UEFA body trying to maximize profits here and nothing more.

Looking at this thing at the moment i only feel for the players they will be playing more than the usual which means more wages but the health implications is still there, the FIFA World Cup had been increased and now this again

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Exploring the Best Ways to Buy Crypto
« on: August 23, 2024, 11:17:19 AM »
The best and easiest way to buy crypto is the p2p method on exchanges, it's reliable and fast for most top exchanges and it's also safe. I believe it's the most common and we'll known method of purchasing crypto.
But now we see top exchanges like Binance, Kucoin restricting their p2p method for some reasons, making users to locate exchanges where p2p purchase method is working and also pushing other exchanges without p2p to start up such purchase method

I agree that using centralized exchanges to buy or sell bitcoin is the easiest way but not the best, the best to me would be a platform without actual asking for KYC but most of the exchanges today do ask for KYC which many people find not attractive. But in terms of ease the centralized exchanges are a place to go to, they have higher liquidity than decentralized exchanges and they are more user friendly than them also.

As for the restrictions on this exchanges it bows down to the individuals country. There are countries now that this exchanges have regularization problems with and they needed to restrict the countries citizens to avoid sanctions. Although you can still perform other actions there too.

^ I agree with your sentiment, my two friends frequently use binance p2p since long time and they have had good experience so far, no scam till date.

The thing is you hardly get scammed on centralized exchanges like this except you are naive yourself, once you don’t release your funds except you have confirmed payment then you’re good to go

I hold more BTC now than I did last month, that's because I added to my supply when the market crashed a few days ago.... Even if the crypto market goes into a bearish phase again and drops below $50k for BTC, I'll be confused because the money allocation for crypto purchases is no longer there... maybe I'll be a little stressed when that happens,

First off buying the dip is a very great strategy it gives you more room to have more of the coin with less amount of money and is the traditional or the easiest DCA method. But you shouldn’t just be buying every dip with the funds you have, have a proper strategy. Buying dip with all your funds like you just did is a clear indication that you didn’t obey the first rule of investing on volatile assets which is investing what you can afford to and what you can hodl for a very long term. The bitcoin profitability strategy is usually to invest for a long term minimum of 12 months, such that even if a dip happens there wouldn’t be panic selling.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: 2 weeks to the end of August what do you think
« on: August 17, 2024, 07:55:48 AM »
There is no doubt that the months of August has proven to be the worst month so far from January 2024 till date,

No this is not the worst month this year even though the dump has been the dippest we have experienced but in terms of market open and close. This month opened at a $64k region and now it’s at $59k, although it dipped to $48k, which which is just a -6% dipped from the market open price and the market closed price. The worst month will be the month of April which had opened at $71k and close at $59k which is a -13% difference so it is clearly the worst month of the year. Even the month of June is almost same as that of August

Layer 2 solutions on Ethereum network have started facing network congestion that is why layer 3 solutions projects have now started coming up. I don't think in the coming years existing layer 2 projects will be able to handle the traffic. I am not interested in anyone of them currently.

I don’t think any of this Ethereum layer 2 networks have lived up to their hype, my biggest disappointment was on the Polygon network (Matic), it’s hype was supposed to take it way up than we have now but it’s scalability is still a big concern as it’s faces congested sometimes too. Interms of investing I will definitely not recommend Any as of now, if there is any on Ethereum it will be the base network. ZKsync had a very bad congestion and also its airdrop wasn’t pleasant so I don’t see many investors coming towards it right now. Moreover with Solana blockchain going high in terms of scalability I think Ethereum and it’s layer 2 network are going to face a very difficult competition

Crypto Wallets / Re: Ledger has introduced the new Ledger Flex device
« on: August 14, 2024, 12:02:54 PM »
Makes me wonder how much profit do they actually make from selling stuff like this. Is their reputation really worth the cost to focus on mainstream devices instead of focusing on key consumer like HW enthusiast, who will likely continue to buy/research about HW instead?

Then again this is nothing new. So many companies produces terrible products, especially after they went public. Not sure what's the reason for Ledger though.

I had read one time about them having low sell on their old products and even laying off some workers, but yeah they though going for a new revolutionary product like their fancy one will help keep them in the market, it’s laughable how most of these companies think, but the thing is they will still have people who will go after this product just for convenience sake without caring too much about their privacy, that’s how degenerated this space as turned out to be
