Basic questions about this forum / Re: How this forum know?
« on: July 26, 2024, 05:16:07 PM »
If you are referring to the two terms the op used then let me explain them to your understanding. Reddit and Linux. Reddit is a forum where cryptocurrency related matters are discussed like we do here and we do in bitcointalk. And Linux is an operating system which like Windows though it is not but I am just giving you an example. I have an account in reddit and also I have used Linux operating system so op was saying, he was in reddit and was using Linux over there and here he is using Mobile and not Linux system. Op if you were in reddit then you are familiar with most of the things or discussions here and the only difficulty you might face is the the bogus sub Boards in the forum. But frequent visiting and navigating will make you to understand more. Read more than posting at this stage of the forum.
I didn't mean to imply that I used Reddit on Linux; I mentioned it to let members know that I am not a newbie to cryptocurrency. I got not only the answer to my question but also learned much more. Multiple replies are always helpful, like on Reddit, although sometimes you don't receive positive responses there. By the way, we are discussing on Altcointalk, not Bitcointalk, as you mentioned at the end of your second line.

I assume you already know that Android is based primarily on the Linux kernel and, to a lesser extent, other open source software, but does not base any code on Tor.
Your assumption is correct; I was aware that Android is based on the Linux kernel, but I hadn't considered this information previously. However, it is a valid point. If I were to open my account on an Apple device, would this forum grant me an iOS badge, similar to the Kernel badge I received?

Or scam exchange that tell you to send more of your personal data, such as your passport, or that it has very low liquidity so that you cannot sell these tokens. The best thing you can do is not to link your wallet to any service and make a traditional deposit instead of linking the wallet.
Good point, but I sometimes wonder how beneficial this deal can be for scammers. It's a lengthy procedure - they have to set up an entire exchange or swap site, which is costly. Then they spend time scamming people in the hope that they will link their wallets and provide identification to approve KYC.

Is it really worth it for them? I've seen many offers where they claim to send a few dollars if we approve KYC on an exchange.

Is there any chance that you are also accessing this forum from the Tor Browser maybe it has to do something with the Tor browser's setting that this forum thought I was using a Linux browser.

I think a Tor user badge would be very cool too. Maybe admin can implement in the future.
That would be cool While the ability to select specific badges for display under each post is a positive feature, I believe the current badge designs are rather basic. It would be beneficial to have more visually appealing options, such as badges with intricate designs and engaging text.

Thanks for the advice I will try to contribute with quality discussions. Thanks for welcoming me.
I am very interested to see what we can learn from you because every newbie to this forum has a specialty and a particular thing they have to contribute if only they would remain original and express themselves on topics that they know about properly. As a new member of the forum who has the intention to learn, I advise you to comment on topics that you are familiar with, and then when you get to topics that you have no familiarity with, it becomes advisable that you just read through and try to learn from others for the future.
I am here to learn from all of you guys and I can see learning is not the only thing we can do here because this forum owner like to focus the interest of every member toward making money. I saw the description at the end of the page where the owner has emphasized that we can discuss about tokens and coins and members can join airdrops and ICO etc. I am not here to join any of those at least for now. But to learn what is really happening on this forum. Why people love to spend their time here. There must be some interesting thing.

I will keep your advice in mind. But as you can see someone gave me negative karma which means I did something wrong right? But what I did wrong?

Have you Linux user ? Or Have you used the mobile device for accessing this altcointalk forum ?
Forum knows that what device you are using maybe by the cookies or the program set on based your display.
Anyway I haven't used the Linux OS but it is still show that batch, I don't know the reason may be admin can clarify this. Or you can move this topic to the Forum related board.
I did not use Linux OS but I did use mobile and desktop to visit the forum. I now know how the forum knows what device I am using and what Operating system I am using. I read an article about how sites can know such things and thanks to Yamane_Keto his reply helped me know how this forum could know such information. It's not only this forum but every forum and every site with HTTPS that can get such information.

Is there any chance that you are also accessing this forum from the Tor Browser maybe it has to do something with the Tor browser's setting that this forum thought I was using a Linux browser.

It was fun predicting the crypto name by just the logo. I watched the video till 4:31 and I made 11 wrong choices I don't know the total coins I predicted right I only counted the ones I predicted wrong. It was a good video, but it lacked some information like the counting of the coin from 1 to 100. So I won't be facing this issue of knowing how much I predicted till 4:31 in numbers. You should make an app with such a quiz and the winner must win some crypto tokens. But please keep it ad-free if you ever plan to do it.

These are fake coins scammers send them to you in the hope that to sell them you will search on Google and on social media and will find sites that belong to them and they hope that you will connect your wallet to the site to sell them and in result, those sites hack your wallet and can get your funds out of the wallet and doom you. It's better to ignore them.

Technical Discussion / Re: Check address balance by Google
« on: July 20, 2024, 05:14:18 PM »
I ask chatgpt and other AI all kind of languages.

Php, golang, html, css, javascript...

It is good for debuging and also good to make the hard work.

AI Won't design the code for you, but it will do the hard work. For example

"Create a code for me, using typescript and bootstrap 5.3 , that will loop the following array of items creating a card with title, description and a button to open a new window, and an image"

Then I pass the array like [{title:"bitcoin", description:"good coin", button:"open"},.....]

Chargpt increases productivity a lot if you give it the instructions like that
Chatgpt is a lifesaver, we can copy our whole code and give it to chatgpt and ask it to find what's the mistake in the code and it doesn't even find us but gives us the solution to it. Chatgpt has made our lives more easier before I have to find line to line which error I am getting. What I did do wrong, was I searched on GitHub, StackOverflow, etc. and now I just copy the code give it to AI, and ask why I am getting this error give me solutions.

wahala, the problem is either gone or almost solved. I just don't know how I made it alive till now without AI. They have become a crucial part of our lives. In the learning phases, I use Google and write some keywords of the article I want to learn and spend a good time finding the information I am looking for and now I just give the prompt to AI and get the exact information in no time. But AI can sometimes give wrong information so its best to confirm the crucial information from articles.

Technical Discussion / Re: Usdt vs Btc, Eth, Sol transaction volume
« on: July 17, 2024, 07:47:56 PM »
Usdt is a stable currency while BTC and ETH are not. People are using Usdt mostly whenever they have to keep their funds in a stable currency. Many centralized exchanges are bringing contests and raffles where they require old and new members to trade in USDT so then they will enter the contests and can win profit in coins or in a stable currency. These types of contests are also causing a huge trading volume. Usdt is like the fiat currency of the digital world of crypto. Therefore people prefer to use it. If we look at the top stablecoin list, USDT has a trading volume of $69,263,175,661, and the other 10 stable coins if combined collectively can't cross it in 24-hour trading volume. Usdt has been in the market for a long time and people have trust in it. Maybe PaypalUsd someday will be trusted more when Usdt will crash but till then we have to hope it will never crash.

I don't know about that but I believe that if what you are saying is true it must have been programmed and don't also forget that we only use two devices frequently to access the internet which is a mobile device and a PC. You should take your time to navigate round the forum and look for boards of your interest and start learning so that you can gain knowledge and grow in the forum by contributing quality discussions that will be helpful other forum members. Your first post will give your three badges automatically.

Welcome to the forum.
I am saying true because I have checked the badges and my profile settings from top to bottom. I have spent time on learning the badges and other things and I did not find how this forum knows what device I am using and what other types of information this forum is getting from us. Thanks for the advice I will try to contribute with quality discussions. Thanks for welcoming me.

through HTTP header called User-Agent request

Any service that requests HTTP will be able to see this data.
You can see your  ....
ok so this forum must be getting our user agent information and then using a tool like this website have and then finding out which device we are using. Thanks for the help.

You are welcome, mate. To avoid common mistakes, start by reading the forum rules through this link https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=45867.0.
Also learn what karma is. We have two types of karma, positive karma and negative karma. You get positive karma when you produce great posts that are useful to the forum. Your good contribution and positive karma is what will earn you a reputation in the forum. And negative karma is when you misbehave and go against forum rules.
Thanks for sharing the rules link but I already read it. This information is on top of the page when I signed up I read all of those threads and some make sense some not but with time I will get around them. Thanks for giving me an overview of karma I will try to get as much as I can.

You guys were helpful

Another situation where Bitcoin helps someone or even save a life.
They did not raise funds in the form of BTC but in the form of ETH. The amount in ETH was $53 million dollar. But he also received 8 BTC recently and they have raised an extra $507,599 on their site.
