Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Food security might not be a priority for younger generations.
« on: October 09, 2024, 05:47:37 PM »The younger generations leaning more towards crypto instead of farming could end up having mixed effects with huge consequences though but on the other hand, crypto is opening up new financial opportunities and innovation and could do more, but our fear is if too many people move away from farming completely, it might harm the food supply and lead to higher prices.
We still need people in agriculture to keep food affordable and available. So, while crypto is exciting, completely ignoring sectors like farming could hurt the economy in the long run.
Balance and not just balance a healthy balance is part of life (personal, organizational and National). Improper balance of agric (every day human cannot do without me /food in the stomach) has affected economies historically even now, next generation wouldn't be any different..
. Government that cares about their populace can encourage young people into agriculture now and generation to come.. By investing into agriculture but not just a political move as it has been in countries that are suffering this in balance even without crypto business, so with increasing online dependence, food shortage and rocket prices will continue to be the outcome.
However the youths focus on the online environment and undermining of agriculture will affect mostly countries that are never ready to develop, countries that politicize every moment and movement..
