Bitcoin Forum / Re: Trump controls the market
« on: April 11, 2025, 12:24:27 PM »
Trump doesn't control it - he affects it.

If he could control it outright, he wouldn't of started the war of tariffs in the first place.

Personally, i prefer selling when the bear market is approaching then buy back during the dip. If i’m to answer the question the OP asked i would say none because I don’t think holding any altcoin right now is a good idea with the exception of the already established ones like SOL and ETH. Predicting the future potential of a new altcoin is difficult, so it’s better not to take the risk.

I agree with you - there is no reason to await X's on the current market, which goes up and down like it's nothing.

So big caps should be the priority of anyone wanting stability in the current situation.

Of course, we must do analysis firstly. And we must ensure to have good chance for taking profits. If it looks like to have small chance, we are better to wait and see first. Timing is very crucial in investment, we may lose money only if we choose the wrong time. Bearish season is always the best time to start investment in crypto. When it is in bullrun season, we must start in a big dump. But make sure there is still big chance for the next pump after the big dump. This is very important to determine the good time because it will ensure us to get enough profits.

The current market is best for hodling big caps, others may drown in dips / corrections to come, especially new projects that need confidence.

Those who understand that, will get the best results in this cycle.

It may all be a Bull trap, sorta - we would bounce from there and get to a better price, if the tariff war won't be going on and escalating.

I am still buying more BTC, mostly.

Actually, I think a great experience will be when we learn from these mistakes and do not make such mistakes again in the future. Otherwise, if we make the same mistake again in the future with this experience, then I definitely will not call this experience great in any way.
We have seen many incidents in the market before that they liquidate millions of dollars from the market in this way but they make the same mistake in the future. In other words, we lose psychologically to the game that Whales play in the market and make the same mistake again and again. So we have to be psychologically fit in advance for such a project.

It's okay to make mistakes, it's not okay to repeat them and not to learn from them.

Those who understand it - thrive ;)

in seeing successful people we should see the process, I agree with you there is nothing instant in this world everything needs a process and sacrifice.
becoming an expert in trading also requires a long learning process. likewise people who are successful in other things also have struggles before and it must take a long time.

It's about a steady grind more than anything, really.

Crypto is the space that punishes actions based on emotions and appreciates when you take your time and act accordingly - wisely, with a cool head.

You could easily find different tools and literature that would help you answer that. It's not that hard to find. You could also use AI to point you to the right direction, making sure that you validate it. I don't think you need to post a topic just for this because it's readily available on the internet.
Well, I think a topic that could generate a more interesting and beneficial discussion compared to AI feedback. I'm not saying we can provide more accurate information, but I want to focus on the right attitude we should have when participating in this market.

Before learning about BTC, investors should answer a few other questions for themselves:
+ Why should I invest in crypto?
+ What are the risks of the crypto market?
+ How much money am I willing to lose?
+ How long am I willing to hold?
+ Where can I find guidance and help?

I think these things are more important than the nature of BTC itself. Because in the end, investors just want to make a profit, not just show their love for BTC ^^

Agreed. Broader questions would bring more awareness overall, because, surely, even if BTC is the easiest pick to achieve your goals (given enough time), there are still questions that would be left.

I haven't stayed long in the crypto market that I will begin to say I have lost a lot. What I have lost is currently the investment I made in altcoin last year and this year. I am positive anyway that most of them will give me the anticipated profits I long for when the altcoin season starts.

Keep hodling, and everything should be fine.

Don't expect the dips to stop, it will happen when you will expect it the least ;)

So a quick one. We all thought or I'll say most people thought the bull market would come this year but after the recent events. Do you still believe that? If not then why?.

If we look at the cycle? yes, we are still in the middle of the bull run, although it might take some time to recover as the Trump administration has been in like witch hunt with all the tariffs and the cost of it? Market going down.

But we still have the last quarter of the year. So still very much that we might see a bull run after all despite the negativity that we are experiencing today.

So you really believe this is the bull market? In bull markets we don't have 70% reversal mate. 10% reversal is okay. But this is a full blown bear market with lots of manipulations and instability

Look out for the Bull traps and where they occur ;D

Especially for those who have been working in the crypto market for a long time, Bullrun is profitable. But beginners have not been able to reach the goal of what Bullrun is. Especially for beginners, this is the best opportunity to buy Bitcoin and wait for Bullrun as a breakthrough. At this time, finding projects will be beneficial for Bullrun

I do think we are not done with the Bull yet too, so it's wise to accumulate now and wait through the upcoming events through 2025 to see the brightest and biggest ATH to this day on BTC chart and many other charts (hopefully).

Tariff wars make prices worse, who knows how long this tariff war will last,
it's true we can only wait for developments on how the bitcoin trend will continue in 2025, whether there will be a bull run peak or we have entered a bearish period

Either way, we are in a good position to hodl. It's either a sale or a good opportunity to cash out a bit.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Should countries accept BTC as means of payment?
« on: April 10, 2025, 10:47:32 AM »
I think it could be an option for a country to make Bitcoin a reserve asset.
Logically, getting Bitcoin is very difficult and maybe some of them are by Mining and Mining also requires expensive equipment.

In our country in Indonesia, we have never heard of our government implementing Bitcoin as a reserve asset but for cryptocurrency trading taxes it does exist.
Maybe not for now but someday there will be a Bitcoin reserve asset and this is just my guess for Indonesia.

Bitcoin is not ready to be used as a currency - as a store of value, for reserves - yeah, it's alright to take that role.

I do hope your country will adopt BTC earlier than we expect.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: bearish signs
« on: April 10, 2025, 10:34:17 AM »
Initially I was saying that bitcoin could dropped -50 percent of its original price from $109k, that is to say if we divides that price into two parts we are having around $54,500 before it would bounce again. Currently the market has already experienced $75k and there could be any possibility of still dumping more, but most times traders wouldn't allow it to dump that much and greed level could hold and sustain it within the price of $69k.

Imagine saying that the tariff war continues and seeing the Stock market dipping even more.. Than 50k would be possible, otherwise, we would have some resistances to break here and there to stabilize the situation.

Surpass is different from replace. Bitcoin can not replace good in my opinion but I do not know if it will surpass gold. Some people believe in gold because if its physical value.

All I know is that bitcoin will also be a store of value. If bitcoin marketcap later surpass gold marketcap after many years or decades, it will not be a surprise. But it is hard to know if that will become true or not.
It's really surprising actually... we see Bitcoin is currently difficult to be accepted by the majority of world governments, while gold, everyone agrees that gold can be trusted...
When Bitcoin gets the chance to be trusted by many people or even all countries legalize it like gold... we will all be surprised and see that the price changes will be very significant and it will really make the investment world excited... bitcoin will level up to become a better store of value asset than gold, if it succeeds in surpassing gold...

Bitcoin is trusted, but volitile and has huge potential to surpass gold in term of marketcap and trading volumes in near future. Gold has been here for many years, a physical commodity that can be traded both online and and physically, however Bitcoin is barely sixteen years but has achieved a greater success than gold in my opinion.

Now, the popularity of Bitcoin, and the potential of blockchain technology and its capacity to dominate faits has made many countries to be skeptic. As a matter facts, Bitcoin has given financial freedom to everyone that government faits has not allowed, hence there are fear that Bitcoin will become superior to faits.

BTC is trusted by common enthusiasts and some influencers, but by the govs - they see it as volatile uncertainty, in many cases, which is true, to some degree, and institutions seek control and stability (where Gold shines).

Eventually, BTC will be adopted nevertheless, because its potential is bigger.

We can see now that the broader market reacted with a bit of an up-movement to the end of the tariff wars (at least for some time), and the crypto market got the same vibe too.

We will see how it goes from there.
