Sixth year Anniversary Fifth year Anniversary Fourth year Anniversary

The cryptocurrency market saw a huge slump in the prices of most cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin [BTC] fell considerably on April 21. Ethereum [ETH] and XRP, which are constantly head-to-head in the market, saw its biggest proponents come together in a single Twitter post.

David Schwartz, the Chief Technology Officer [CTO] of Ripple, chimed in on a thread on Twitter posted by Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase. Armstrong had posted a tweet about Zoom CEO being denied US Visa eight times. David’s reply came in response to Buterin recalling his Visa being denied. Buterin said:

Quote
“Fun fact: I tried to be an intern at Ripple back in the day (mid 2013), but US visa complications having to do with the fact that the company had only existed for 9 months and the minimum was 1 year stopped me.”

One of the XRP enthusiasts asked the ‘Non-giver of Ether’ to join Ripple as an intern now and tagged Schwartz in the tweet. Schwartz responded to Buterin’s Tweet offering him to join Ripple.

Schwartz said:

Quote
“That still saddens me. Think of the great things you might have accomplished! Maybe apply again? We’re always looking for good interns.”
The Ethereum and XRP community relished in this little dialogue between the two market leaders, however, some enthusiasts took offense to Schwartz’s reply. Twitter user @zarnamezorname told the CTO:

“This’s so arrogant reply David.I think he deserves a lot of respect what he achieved at such a young age.”
Schwartz clarified to the user that it was a joke and “Vitalik knows I have nothing but respect for him and his work”. Looks like the offer stands just for Buterin and not his long-lost friend Justin Sun, Tron’s CEO and founder, who had also replied to Vitalik’s tweet:

Quote
“When I found out these facts from @justmoon in late 2013/early 2014, had we both been at Ripple, I am certain we would have been buddies👬since we would have been the only 2 millennials there! ❤@VitalikButerin”
