Is it advisable to use faucet site as a means to earn cryptocurrency?

I am new to cryptocurrency and I get mails asking to register and claim free coins at their site. Is it advisable to do so?

If you don't have any capital to start investing in crypto, then you have no option to start with claiming from faucets. To be honest with you, it isn't going to fetch you even 1$ per day unless you register several sites which is also going to take all your time for the day. So think about it well.
The best you can do is to get a lil capital and look for a promising ICO and then invest in it. Hold for at least 3 months after listing on exchange and you are going to love that.

well! claiming at faucets is time consuming but its not bad for a starter because you will get some startup funds from there to perform your subsequent transactions if any. but be careful of the sites you go to. well you know it's the internet so you should always be careful with websites

You can not really get much from faucet but it  is a good way to start.It might take you months before you reach withdrawal  threshold. Join airdrops and bounty campaigns to earn more

yeah, i know it is a waste of time but someone without capital will see it as a nice way of earning money. I think this forum will solve his problems. He should join airdrops and bounties.
