X21s Mining Vs. SHA256: Which is better?
« on: November 11, 2019, 07:51:52 AM »

Titan projects have been recently upgraded to the X21s mining technolog, which is the latest mining algorithm in X11 series. It is an energy-efficient algorithm, which is made by combining the benefits of X22i and X16s.

So, it’s definitely more advanced in terms of security, speed and performance as compared to the earlier mining technologies.

Now, many users and miners have been wondering about the benefits of the X21s algorithm and how or whether it is better than options like SHA-256. So, let’s find out.

What is X21s?

X21s is a hash algorithm, which consists of 21 different hash functions for improving the security, speed and processing of transactions in a network, especially on a blockchain.

A blockchain requires transactions to be secured using advanced cryptography mechanisms in order to protect them against online attacks.

The function used to convert the transaction into an encrypted form is called hash. The stronger the hash, the more secure will be the blockchain.

X21s uses 21 different hash functions, including 16 algorithms in the order as prescribed by x16s. To further improve the speed and transaction secure, it uses five additional hash, including:

1. Haval256
2. Tiger
3. Lyra2
4. Gost512
5. SHA256

Besides the obvious benefits of SHA256, titan blockchain is now protected by advanced cryptography functions as mentioned above. The inclusion of these hash functions, especially Lyra2, makes us stronger, faster and more economic.

What is SHA-256?

SHA-256 is a hash algorithm that converts (encrypts) any text into a string of 256 characters. The process is also known as hashing. The benefit of using a hash function is that it encrypts the transaction in such a manner that it becomes inaccessible or impossible to read without the right decryption key.

SHA-256 is a modified version of SHA-0 & SHA-1. It has a string length of 256 bits. It is considered more secure and efficient than its predecessors because of the lengthier or deeper hash.

SHA256, however, has its limits. As found in many recent cases, blockchains with SHA256 security were breached and data was stolen or tampered with. This gave rise to the demand for a new, better and more secure hashing algorithm.

X21s employs SHA256 along with 20 other hash function to make titan blockchain very secure and nearly impenetrable. Moreover, the use of some specific functions ensures higher speed and lower energy consumption in the mining process.

Earlier, titan coin was a staking coin based on SHA256, now it has been upgraded as an Asset coin that is based on x21s algorithm.

Another major advantage is that TTN blockchain can now also be used for creating other tokens on this (open) platform, same as ERC20, EOS and other blockchains out there.

Thanks to X21s, which is faster and high-performance compared to SHA256, titan coin mining is now more productive than ever.
