Bitwise Asset Management, which had previously sought to legalize the launch of a bitcoin ETF (an exchange-traded Fund based on bitcoin), said it had withdrawn the application. This was announced by the head of the company's research Department Matt Hougan:

"We did withdraw the application, but we plan to re-submit the request when the time comes."

The document that Bitwise sent to the SEC States that the move is aimed at " meeting the public interest and protecting investors." However, the company also said that it will also promote the interests of launching a bitcoin ETF.
