DApps– Decentralized Applications. It's an application build on the blockchain.

DAO– Decentralized Autonomous Organization. It's an agency build on top of the blockchain that allows investors to vote on projects to allocate funds.

Fork – A permanent split from the original blockchain to make permanent alterations to the current blockchain.

ICO – Initial Coin Offering. A new way for developers to raise funds for their projects by creating and selling off tokens. These tokens can be exchanged the same ways as coins.

Since the ICO is a thing of the past, it was replaced by new types of offerings, with new abbreviations (alphabetically):

IAO - Initial Airdrop Offering
IEO - Initial Exchange Offering
IFO - Initial Fork Offering
IMO - Initial Miner Offering
STO - Security Token Offering
