Yes, that is one of the reasons some of them are kicking against it. Some of these politicians even feel that bitcoin will dominate the fait currency of their respective countries. Another group of politicians concluded that bitcoin is used to sponsor terrorism, money laundry, and drugs trafficking etc.
I think gradually, some of them will get to understand how crypto work and the technology that came with it, the blockchain tech.
