solana is not even close to ethereum's price much less to ethereum's ath and i think that there might be a new ath for ethereum soon a lot of people deem solana to be the one to replace ethereum but i think it will happen (if it does happen) quite a long time still but it would depend on whether ethereum will drop in the next few years and make solana rise higher

a lot of these coins do not end up valuable anyway so i would not expect profitable gains from them but still it is free so i do not see much harm to just doing it and seeing where it goes
