Not really. It is still possible for people to earn a good amount of money through airdrops, even in the present day. Many of these airdrops require completing tasks such as setting up nodes or initiating bridging a certain number of times in their swap exchange to be eligible. Some airdrops have different tasks, but as long as you complete them, you will be paid a decent amount. Participating in airdrops is not a complete waste of time, you just need to be selective about which ones you choose to join.

Doing airdrops is not worth it this days because it's not guarantee that you will be eligible for receiving rewards in the project you interacted with because the criteria will only available if they announced that they run an airdrop. Even though you are choosing project that has yellow check in their twitter account to minimize the time and effort, it's still not sure that they will going to run an airdrop. That is what we have to consider before doing airdrops.

Out of a thousand of them, one airdrop brings a more significant reward, of course, this immediately increases interest and raises the hope that there will be more "rich" airdrops.
