Is money the real root of all evil?

Money is THE root of all kinds of evil.
Whether you believe it or not that's the truth.
Once you love money there is a big chance that you will kill for money,
you will steal as always, you will become more greedy even the money of charity and unfortunate people you want to get. We need money but we should not look to it more than our loveones.

Money is the root of all evil that does a lot of good, even in the Bible it says money answereth all things, this just tells you how significant money is to us as humans, if money wasn't important then God wouldn't have blessed Solomon with wealth even after he asked for wisdom. Money isn't the root of all evil but the love for money is the root of all evil, I'm not trying to turn this to a sermon but I'm clarifying some facts. It's the love and obsession people have for money that makes them do terrible things just to acquire it, the uncontrollable desperation makes them do despicable things to be wealthy. This is my take on this

Civilization brought about money. History made it known that it used to be trade by barter.. I can assume that it's still the same thing that brought about money that fought against barter, however I am not comparing bartering and monetary. Money helps humans to at least manage things to some extent. To manage those fighters of barter and society.
Greediness, envy /jealousy and all wickness, tricks/bias are fighters when two or more people come together for business.
All this (envy, greediness, untrustworthines etc) are responds of the love of money which is the problem not really money.
I believe the Bible made the statement viral that the love of meney is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6;10)
And  also that money is use to buy things (ecclesiastes 10;19-20)

Sermon ot not, what you are saying is actually true. Money in the real world can make you a king if you have some but as long as it was used for the betterness of once life without using it into stupid things like crimes and other prohibited activities then that can be an evil thing. We already knew what is good and bad then it is up on us whether we will do it or not. We all know that doing bad things with money will always have consequences so yeah much better if we opt the right thing.

Well, that's the fact that money is not the root of evil. But I think evil originates from human greed which cannot be controlled by humans themselves. Money is only a tool to buy comfort and pleasure facilities in this world and is also a tool to fulfill life's needs. And a tool can produce happiness if it is used for good and can produce evil if it is used for bad things.

The real enemy in this life is our own emotions which make us continue to struggle to control them. because when emotions are out of control, everything in those emotions will overflow and cause us to do bad things. For example, greed for wealth can make someone do anything to get it. including committing crimes. But if we can control the lust within us, then we can control this greed and we will only seek wealth in a good way.

If I base it on the Bible, that's what it says; in fact, money or wealth is the root cause for you to do bad things. So it's just two: you control the money or the money controls you?

Most people all over the world don't realize that they deify money because money makes them greedy; they think that if you don't have money, you will die or you won't live in the world, and this is one of the things I object to that is that it's not true that if you don't have money, you will die or you won't live. Reasoning like this is wrong.

I do not think so, it’s like saying we don’t need money, but money sustains life. It will always depend on how you used your money. There are many meaningful things you can used money; e.g., build hospitals, feed the homeless, build schools, fund to teach people, charity works, help technology, supporting the government on enhancing its citizens way of living, and other many things you can do with money that is worthwhile. I have read about “the love of money”, it talks about every behavior of an individual not money itself that is the source of all different types of evil and distress. Money is ethically neutral; I believe there is naught wrong with money or the ownership of wealth. But, once money starts to control a person that is when the trouble began. People being controlled by money will feel superior and takes pride for power which leads to greediness and obsessions of an individual. He or She will enjoy the luxury of life, they will use their money to dictate and control other people for his or her will. Money is a necessity that is why people do fraud, insult, kill, and do bad things to have it. Hence, it is not “the money” but “the love of it” is the root of all evil.

When a person places too much value on money, it becomes possessive and the person becomes willing to go to any length just to make money, this is where the person becomes dangerous because he will be willing to any kind of evil just to make the money. Yes money is inevitably part of human lives but that doesn’t mean we should place way too much value on it, because the truth is that, despite the fact that money is important to a human, there are still things money can’t fix, there are sicknesses money can’t cure and there problems money can’t fix, so when we forget these facts and allow money to overplay its role in our lives, it suddenly becomes a problem both to us and to the people around us.

Money is not the root of all evil, Money is a tool not a ultimate goal, money just walk through the direction of the controller, it is used and spent according to the owner's intention, it doesn't make it own the decision, it obey and understand the language of it's owner.

I definitely wouldn't say it's the root of all evil, but it definitely gives entities who are evil more power and control.  Money is just a tool, ultimately.  It's unfortunate that being evil almost seems to make it easier for you to obtain more money, it's not always the case but you can definitely find more cases of corruption to get money than you can altruism to get money.

I don't agree that money is the root of all evil because there are people who have money and they don't involve themselves in evil practice's before getting the money what make people actually evil is the state of their heart so if one is evil if money comes to his hands he will use it for evil purpose and will do anything to have it, what makes money look evil is the kinds of people that handle's money, money on it own is good so the statement about money being the Root of all evil is actually wrong it's we human being that are evil so any thing that comes in contact with us we tends to corrupt it. Right now I think the founder of that statement need to be found and asked how he got that word, what was his motivation, what was his observation before he said that word cause that person needs an award for seeing the future. There is no other root of evil than money I tell.
During the cashless policy in my country there was also fuel subsidy removal so people were coming with tanks and drums to buy from the filling station and we that were in queue with our small Jerry can were ignored for those with with big cars and tanks and guess what they bribe the pump attendants with money just to ignore the queue and fill their tanks and cars. We stood there for more than an hour 30mins cause if you leave your space you start from behind again and it's not just that money is the reason why some countries are suffering from their politicians.

it is greed that will push people to do things even if it meant harming other people even those who they love if a person is truly selfish and greedy he will want to get all money no matter what the method of acquiring money and this is where evil comes from

And I think nowadays it's getting more and more people are selling their soul to the devil just to get huge amount of money and that clearly tells us about the love of money and these days manipulation is just as common as breathing in and out. Almost everyday we can see that kind of things on social media and even in our localities and that is what makes it wrong.

When you consider that money is required for survival, it becomes clear that it cannot be viewed as evil. Everything about money is beneficial and important in the lives of all people. If money is bad, I doubt it will be accepted as a medium of exchange. People are motivated to make money because they want to survive, not because money itself is valuable. If survival is not linked to money, I bet that no one will want money. My opinion is that money is not linked to any evil.
