Well...OP, find out what some people base their criticism; the classic "the owner is...", anyway, just look at the price, take advantage of it and that's it, check the price where you think it's more reliable, after all, we are full of triggers for brand consumption, what matters is that users understand about why they are visiting a certain website.

On the other hand, OP, what is the topic under discussion here... perhaps the question is, why are some tokens not listed, or why this morning there were 10031 and now they only list 10018... why did they take out 13 tokens in a couple of hours...

Coingecko seems to be cool and are very updated with listing accuracy and lots more compared with the coinmarketcap.

They allowed people to comments on coin stats walls and that kills the vision of that coin market cap. People are spamming and writing all sort of messages they want and the dev are not doing anything about it. Even Bitcoin that has reputation is been spam with all sort of write up and the dev just allow them paste such things on the stats walls.

There is this unique thing about coingecko, their data is reliable and I don't know how they used the real API to get valuable and real informations but the data on coin market cap seems not accurate as coingecko.

I still do not understand how coingecko could be able to do that but however, I think they are more reliable than coinmarketcap of  lately, their data tells more than we could imagine and I must commend their developer for keeping such fit.

The issue of coinmarketcap allowing posts and replies on coin wall is something I do not subscribe to and I must say it does not really make any sense but to some, it does because they feel it would really give facts to readers or visitors something tangible about the project involved.

Coingecko is far from perfect but I think it is much better than coinmarketcap.
I like that you can use basic Trangview for free with Coingecko, this is not available on CMC I think.
One bitcointalk forum member even made an open source app that works with coingecko, so you can use it on your computers and make custom portfolios.

You can't rely on one source of info when you're trading. Coingecko's an alternative ppl should consider because coinmarketcap's owned by Binance.

We know that coinmarketcap is one of the best popular site for cryptocurrency users in all over the world. I think that most of the crypto users depending on coinmarketcap. But if we follow in cryptocurrency market, we can see that without coinmarketcap there are many sites stay in crypto currency world. Yes, this is my opinion too, Coinmarketcap is the most famous and most popular site but this does not mean that it is the best, there are other sites that provide these same services and maybe better but they are not known.

There is something worth mentioning that I would like to mention, since Binance acquired Coinmarketcap, I have some doubts about the reliability of the data provided by the site regarding the exchange rank or trading volume as well as some other coins such as BNB and others, as they can be easily manipulated through the site.

I am not saying that this is what actually happens, but I say that it is necessary when conducting research to verify the accuracy of information from more than one site, not just Coinmarketcap.

For me when a new coin comes out I check coinmarketcap to see what exchanges will use the coin. So for that I have found it to be pretty good.

imo i do not think there is any platform that is completely unbiased and at the same time accurate prices will always differ per platform due to timing issues and each platform is just trying to make money off of whatever they can and if they can promote some coins they will definitely do so but if you are to look for something that is objective and accurate the best you can find is the least biased and full of ads and promotions and as accurate as possible when reporting prices and historical data

CMC is one of oldest coin tracking website, but it lost it's charm somehow and I started preferring CG as time passed by.

I checked out crypto bubbles seems pretty good. need to look a bit deeper but coinmarketcap seems to list more echanges per coin. this is  important if a new pow coin shows,up as I may decide to not mine the coin because i do not want to do a new kyc exchange to sell it

imo i do not think there is any platform that is completely unbiased and at the same time accurate prices will always differ per platform due to timing issues and each platform is just trying to make money off of whatever they can and if they can promote some coins they will definitely do so but if you are to look for something that is objective and accurate the best you can find is the least biased and full of ads and promotions and as accurate as possible when reporting prices and historical data

They don't have to be unbiased but they shouldn't adjust trading volumes. I don't think any do it plus they're full of ads & promos so they're giving incomes so they don't have to cheat.

I'd give cryptobubbles a chance to use next to coinmarketcap. How many different coins are you mining ?
