As gambling is a source of entertainment if it becomes an addiction and cannot be controlled the person will be affected by its negative effects which can cause harm on his/her physical and mental health some become violent where there is a change in behavior like that one topic posted here that is how it becomes a vice. As a responsible gambler, we must control when we gamble to not succumb to addiction.
The problem is that, many gamblers aren't responsible enough hence, they're getting addicted to it.

Many gamblers are spending way more money than what's intended. Many gamblers spending too much time on gambling that they're getting addicted to it. Some addicted gamblers will try to do everything just to have money to gamble. We know that too much gambling is very dangerous for ourselves because of the possible consequences that we can get. Well, there might be many addicted gamblers, but the good thing is that, some of them stopped gambling already, but after they lost thousands or even millions of dollars. Still, they quitted gambling and that's the good thing. That means they can control themselves and they can stop if needed.

Overall, gambling is a vice, and spending too much on it might ruin your life FOREVER.

I think it all comes down to the wrong mindset at the beginning when getting to know gambling, so that it eventually creates unreasonable expectations and makes gamblers addicted.

I will give an example in my environment and I saw it myself. At the beginning they got to know gambling, they were only introduced by other people, they didn't even spend any capital. Long story short, they won in the first try, that made their wrong mindset formed. Yes, they hope for something uncertain just because they have experienced victory.
